If you didn’t know, Jimmy Chamberlin is one of the greatest drummers ever to play rock music. Classically trained as a jazz drummer, he brings a sense of swing to his playing and infuses incredible technical ability and tasteful choices in the songs. His sticking, hand/foot combinations, and unreal mastery of all the rudiments are always on display. He’s definitely worth being spoken of in the same breath as the other notable god tier rock drummers.

The silverfuck/jackboot live set from vieuphoria? I believe? Is still probably my favorite live performance of all time. Jimmy is absolutely the most underrated drummer in existence. EDIT: London 1994 was the one, that's right.

Hi Dylan. So glad you liked this recommendation. As another commenter mentioned, Jimmy Chamberlain is considered one of the greatest rock drummers alive right now. In the same league as Danny Carey, Neil Peart, and others of that caliber. As for Smashing Pumpkins, when they want to, they go SO heavy it will just blow your mind. More SP recommendations coming your way that will show you just how heavy they can get. It is just mind-blowing to see them when they go so heavy.
If we did know Jimmy Chamberlain we sure do now 🤯 After a performance like this yeah, I’d say he’s right there with Danny and Neil as well. Unbelievable performance 🔥
I really did not realize they got this heavy either I was never a huge fan so never did a dive into their stuff. I guess I am going to have to listen to more of their stuff. As far as drum solos you should absolutely watch Neil Peart live in Frankfurt it is anazing.
