Welcome back to Recap Focus, today on the channel we are going to discuss details as Charmed reboot season 5 canceled, what could have happened, Charmed Multiverse? + other related news. Charmed fans were left on a heck of a cliffhanger - not to mention an iconic doorstep - when the CW reboot wrapped its four-season run on June 10. The series came to an early conclusion with the current Charmed Ones - Mel, Maggie and Michaela - arriving at the home of the sisters from the original Charmed, inviting themselves inside when no one answered the door. And while we may never get to see the Vera-Danso and Halliwell-Matthews covens meeting face to face, this is not the end of the story. So, what might fans have seen in a fifth season of Charmed? Read on for Falco and EP Jeffrey Lieber’s teases below, then drop a comment with your own theoretical wishes for the sisters’ future.
Mel in Charge. Mel taking over the Blue Camellia was “definitely a nod” to Piper running P3 in the original series, with Falco even floating the idea of Mel changing the name to P3 or M3 in the future. As for how Mel would fare in her new position, Lieber says, she would have made a “great” manager. 'Moxie' Forever. As for Mel and Roxie, “I don’t think that relationship is over,” Falco says. “In some hypothetical future, they’d reconnect. They both had such complicated love lives, and more than anyone else Mel had been with in four seasons, they had a deep philosophical connection. I could see that relationship lasting a long time.” Maggie and Jordan's Next Steps. Per Mel’s insistence, Maggie and Jordan would have moved into the former’s dream apartment and attempt to co-habitate. “They’re the happily-ever-after relationship of the show,” Falco says. “It’s been such a back-and-forth [journey], we wanted one satisfying love story to end the series on. You cannot alienate the original show, its cast and fans and then expect them to support your reboot.

I’ve been watching the original series on Amazon (HUGE fan of the OG) and was talking to one of my coworkers (who is also a fan) about the 2 series a couple weeks ago. We both said the same thing you did. The new series should’ve focused on Wyatt, Chris and the other Halliwell children that we never really got to meet. I tried with the new series, but I just couldn’t get into it. It didn’t have same magic (no pun intended) as the original.

This. This would have been awesome. That's what they did with Cobra Kai. They followed it up with the children of Daniel LaRusso and Johnny Lawrence and the same cast from the films. and it's a smash hit. Literally the best show on TV.
To be 100% honest I think this failed because it was ultra woke. They prioritized politics instead of actually making it "Charmed." I've been able to stomach many reboots. The 90210 reboot, some other ones.. but this one just did everything wrong. From the moment they made the house disappear and introduced all this weird stuff. It just wasn't good at all.
The writing was also borderline plagiarism it was so unoriginal. It read like it was written by high school students. A British white lighter who acts like the doctor from Doctor Who? so much bad in this show.

A follow up about the kids, spin-off about young and middle-aged Grams or Patty, or a different generation could be possible. They could also bring Kaley Cuoco as a guest star. If it's about a different generation but unrelated to the Halliwell bloodline, like the innocents they saved then, a different title would do. TVD Universe could be a great example except that the last show, Legacies was crap.
Once Macy died, the show was pretty much done. Let's be real, Macy was the show's leading character and the main protagonist and once they killed her off, they pretty much killed the show.
Yeah. She was my favourite too. Great actress! You could see her performance was very well charted and she had a huge emotional range which is difficult to get across on a show like this (fantasy). But when she left I figured it wouldn't last. I actually liked season 1 a lot. As soon as they serialized in Season 2 it went to hell and gone. It became hard to keep track. Season 4 was just plot plot plot. No story whatsoever. Just saw the finale and I'm pretty unsatisfied. They put The Manor in there to piss us off. Terrible fake feminism. All the women characters this season had no point. Diana. Roxie. Sunny. Inara. Absolutely no respect given to them. The bickering women trope led to the end of the world. Like seriously??? That's the message??? And then in 23 seconds, a woman who was buried alive for 10000 years suddenly decides the beef is over??? Season 4 = Fake feminist cash grab.

Personally think living long enough to retire and pass the "fight" onto your children while you yourself get to relax and educate the 3rd generation with stories from your past is a much better ending then: "they're still fighting"!

What’s hilarious is the fact that they wanted to do a crossover AFTER one of the actresses made a disrespectful tweet about Holly. They ruined their chances themselves. Face it, they’re losers. They took the charmed name and tried to capitalize off of it and failed.

They killed the sister that had just reunited with her fam. Her story line with evil or having been resurrected by a necromancies was rushed. Marisol being an elder and being killed so swiftly it’s just bogus. I could never fully commit to the show and I tried.

the main issue i had was that the sisters didn't give the feeling that sisterhood was the most important for the fist like... 3 seasons. yea it was too political, but i never got the feeling like they were connected as sisters at all, and that magic was more prevalent than being sisters when it was the fact that they were sisters is why there was a charmed set.
They should’ve continued the show with the piper’s son’s fighting demons along with their aunts and parents. Because bring in new people that has both to do with the hallowell legacy.
that's pretty harsh words about the original series considering the original series lasted 10 seasons, and this junk didn't make it to season 5, the original series was perfectly written from start to finish

The OG series had 8 seasons aired in the TV, season 9 & 10 charmed was only continued in the forms of comic.
Of the OG's 8 televised seasons, 4-5 were alright. The others were filled with too many inconsistencies and plot holes. And we all know how garbage season 6 was.
I’m pretty sure people didn’t like the last four seasons, especially the train wreck that was Season 6. Plus, there were things that the reboot kind of did better than the original.

1. Mel promises her gf that she will look after her business for 7 years and then she just drops it and leaves this dimension. What a great female character right?
2. Inara and her sister's petty argument while the world is destroyed. Great female stereotypes.
3. Inara changes her mind for no reason whatsoever.
4. Where the he'll did Diana come from? What was her point?
5. Roxie gets dumped twice.
6. Sunny gets killed for nothing.
7. Kaela's parents gave her away but we don't know why because it's not like they were poor or anything.
8. The Guardian does fight Club??? Plot hole of note. How did she get into the underworld a few episode ago if she's not a necromancer? If she's a spirit,fine. But how can she do fight club if she's a spirit?
9. Josephina constantly being disrespected. They literally just left her to look after the bar and house alone.
10. Completely unresolved storyline for The Unseen.

The Seer was a more feminist vilian than Inara. I love the actress who played Inara but they gave her terrible lines. The only way a Charmed reboot would work if it was 13 episode seasons targeted at adults. It's needs to be a darker show with adult themes. The OG fans are grown now. Teenagers today don't care about a Charmed reboot. They messed up by making it so teeny bopper and by losing the best character Macy.
I'm honestly surprised this show got 4aeasons majority of every video.of the reboot is less than 100k views excluding the original reboot trailer. Lol it's like they kept it to just save face.
You need at least 5 seasons to make a profit.

What a waste of money and production. The fans accepted Page after Prues untimely death. We weren’t trying to hear this. You can just tell it’s too “woke” I don’t mind including the culture but get girls with chemistry and who know how to act. Reading lines isn’t the same. Even the new Sabrina was better than this and that was trash too.
I loved the og series and still do, but I also liked the reboot as it had the latest cgi, and good storylines. There were plans for s5 to show a 3rd universe with male charmed ones. Joey Falco would've considered them as counterparts to the warlock's Rowe Coven. The writers would pass their message, as to why men shouldn't b trusted with power. Which I c that as kind of misandrist. If anything they would b like Sam and Dean from Supertural, or Nick from Grimm. All good and protecting people. For that's the way of the Charmed Ones in any universe. Except for the morality parallel universe in og s6 ending. There were also plans to have Kaela discover her demonic powers, since Macy was demonic-witch when donating her stem cells. I would've loved to also c Jordan become a full flegde whitelighter and reviving the species without darklighter seperations. Including the return of Jada.
Macy was the character that caught the attention of the Reboot. Without her the series no longer makes sense. If Macy comes back she would be successful. They would have to return the showrunners of the first season who were wonderful and know how to fix everything bad they did from the second season. The last season was fun and childish. A mix between Power Rangers and H20. Not even the Reboot's haunted ones saved the world XDDDD Without forgetting the transphobia suffered by the role of Josefina. "a man can never be a bewitched", but she is a woman mentally and sentimentally. And on top of it they give him one of the most desired powers, to control nature. For me the series ended with the death of Macy. If they want season 5... Either they rescue Macy from the tree or Josephine becomes the third haunted. She always behaves well, takes care of her cousins and knows magic. My theory is that Josefina is Macy's twin brother.
Yeah Macy was sooooo nice and smart. But i love Mel. She got my heart. She is a hot bad ass smart and strong. I just love her
Yeah Macy (Madeleine Mantock) was pretty much the lead star of the show and damn near everything was centred around her character. Once they killed her off, the show was pretty much done.

@ Nah that wouldn't work cause we all saw what happen to Macy at the end of season 3, both her physical body and spiritual essence got absorbed into the tree of magic after she became a guardian of magic. Which is why i thought season 4 was poorly written, having Harry lose his mind in search for Macy with his new powers when he knew exactly where she was. Say if the actress who played Macy wanted to come back, they could do it in a way that she can act as an advisor for the charmed ones whenever they visit the tree at first, then along the way they figure out how to bring her back to life by having someone replace and takeover from her as guardian and she can return to the physical plane.
Nothing will ever beat the original. The reboot was awful, the stories lacked sisterly chemistry, I only watched it because of a Macy’s character as the older sister. She’s an incredible actress when I watched her in Into the Badlands as Daniel Wu’s love interest.

So, I had an interesting theory about how the power of three came to be in the hands of another coven... one that might satisfy other fans of the original.
The final episode of the original series was amazing, but it did pose a problem regarding time travel. Piper uses coop's ring to go back in time and stop her sisters from dying. The problem is, one interpretation of time travel states that if you go back in time to change something and succeed, then your reason for travelling back in time never existed, which causes a paradox.
One way around this is the branching timelines theory, which posits that instead of a linear path, time is more like a tree with multiple branches. My theory is that when Piper went back in time and changed something, she actually entered a different timeline, one where she could have that happy ending. However, the timeline she left would still exist... and with her sisters dead and her disappearing from the timeline, that timeline in particular would be without the power of three.
The Elders, knowing they need this power, could have found a way to re-create it in three powerful sister witches, leading them back to the Manor and ensuring they were seated on the Nexus, like their predecessors.
This theory would explain a lot of shit when it comes to the reboot... and would actually seat it as a sequel to the timeline in which the Charmed Ones were gone.
As for how the manor was rebuilt... if the Elders wanted the new power of three seated on the Nexus, they could have had it rebuilt and used the cleaners to erase the neighbours memories... and if that explanation doesn't suit you, we see from the EARLIER seasons that the Manor is considered a historical hallmark... and if a historical restoration society wanted it rebuilt, it could have been.
Petition to have this as a spin off series, you actually made the reboot seem digestible with this perspective 🙌🏼🙌🏼

The producers made poor choices with the writing. If they had listened and made the show with the original actresses, or their kids, and then added the new actresses as mentees that would have worked out a lot better. Without including the original this wasn't going to work. I couldn't get into it and fell asleep after watching the first 3 episodes.
The first 4 seasons of the original Charmed was amazing and the last 4 seasons sucked, so the original really wasn’t great either.

It's no surprise that this travesty of a reboot got cancelled. One of the actresses committed an unforgivable act of sacrilege when she said she was going to do justice to the OG version without ever seeing same. And then there are all the plot decisions that remain questionable. Marisol didn't need to die for the sisters to come together, a mysterious disappearance or just a well thought out character act involving her being alive would have a better choice. It would have been a much better decision for Macy to get her demonic powers from a medical procedure rather than necromancy. A white walker as the first villain is just a terrible choice. Good and evil actually succeeding in love would have also been a great addition.
This wannabe producer. Doesnt understand that the OG finished with the kids taking over and having what they always talked about throughout the series. They wanted a balance and to have the kids take over.
I really can’t understand why you guys just skipped Abby (Abigael Jameson-Caine) here. I find she is also an very important character and made the show with season 2+3 a lil better. Also I loved the chemistry between Abby and Mel. And I wanted to watch how much more it can continued to grow in the future. But season 4 seemed to damage almost everything. I only liked the idea to the connection of the old charmed.

I agree they could of did so much more with her character and her redemption arch it’s like with Crowley and rowena in supernatural they started off on a rocky relationship with Sam and Dean but they grew to like eachother and work with eachother. Crowley and rowena both sacrificed themselves to save Sam and Dean and the world.
What happened to Abigail again? Is she still crying in that box or what? It's funny how easy it is for me to remember all the OG Charmed plot points (because it was episodic) and with the reboot I can't remember anything (because it's serialized). They took the 1 thing about the show that worked and ruined it in season 2. What also happened to the only dark skinned man in that show from season 1. He just disappeared on a hiking trip or something?

Even if there would’ve been a crossover, how would it work. Considering that the Halliwell-Matthews sisters are currently not unified. There’s no chance a reunion would happen due to the actresses of the original charmed being against each other.
Even in the end the writers couldn’t respect the og. The og was reading to their grandkids because after years of battling evil and raising the next gen they deserved to rest. Lets talk about how they played on fans desire for the halliwell to return, or the magical baby that got created because an actress was pregnant but then got deleted the next season.
The actress who interpreted Macy always had a pained expression on her face, and the actor for Harry wasn’t great. Bad acting in this series. I prefer the original.
Things they shouldn't do:
- Drag the OG series and its fans, then expect their support.
- Macy slays, and Maggie is likable enough, but Mel... omg I just cannot like her character. So, so, SO patronizing. To everyone. Like, who asks?
- Bad writing. 1st season was fine. But season 2 onward was just... meh.

Piper always dreamed about having a family. Children and grandchildren. She got that and still managed to own a club then a restaurant. Back when Charmed was running, or even before, this is what we called "having it all" for women. Not making us choose either having a family or a career. I have no idea why it's seen as a bad thing now.
What would have happened is once the reboot ones go into the charmed manor they would have gotten vanquished by the OG charmed ones

The original charmed is def better just watching some scenes of the reboot was laughable and seriously bad!!!!!! Don't slap and disrespect a show calling it the title it originally was!!!!!!! Very happy to have season one on DVD and on my phone!!!!!! Even the Blu rays took away the original colors and all and made them look bad!!!!!! Seeing the kriginal quality on my hd screen on my phone is pretty to look at.....I had the Blu rays of 1 and 2 seasons but God it was so bad looking...I love the original and I love how the original quality of the filming was so great to look at.......this reboot tho seeing it got cancelled......just like the resident evil show.....I'm so glad I'm skipping both of these!!!!! The cancellation is a blessing of this atrocity

Okay the reboot sucks. The acting was bad and it got too political. The OG had Shannen Doherty and Alissa Milano. These two actresses were already well known. No one in the reboot was well known. The reboot also bashed the OG cast and fired the first shot. They basically took ideas from the OG and wanted to pretend that it didn’t happen. When things go south, they finally want to include the OG cast after all the Bs they said.
According to the original charmed, theres only two sets and they are the same actresses. One set are evil and the other set are good. That’s it. There’s no Macy, Mel and Maggie and whoever the other girl is. They are not the charmed ones. There’s only one book. The reboot didn’t do their homework clearly nor watched the OG show.
I will say though it would have been cool to watch Paige, Phoebe, and Piper and their kids vanquish the imposters haha 😆

I am a huge fan of the Original Charmed, which for me was a great magical show. So when the Reboot came I was hesitant about the quality of it and I was thinking please let them be unique not coping the Original Show. I started watching the Reboot and I really liked what I was seeing, it is fresh and unique. I hope the producers find a way to make season 5 cause I strongly believe and want to see those three ladies growing through the seasons as I watched the Originals do!!!❤❤❤ Please do something to save the Show...😢

I think the crossover finale would of consist of earth 1 original, earth 2 one where Prue is still alive, earth 3 new charmed and earth 4 Macy is still alive.
8 witches from different earth's or timeline coming together to take on 3 the most powerful survivers of evil.
Not including the mirror world where the charmed ones were evil.
The enemy would be the source, demon of fear, and an evil from new charmed. Their plan is to rid the multiverse of charmed ones. By destroying charmed earth prime.
Having evil learn that good wins by working together, evil tries it by working with those who always seem to come back.
The ultimate multi verse battle. That's a finale I think would of happen to end 2nd charmed series. New charmed 100th episode.

I think on flash they once went up against villains from other earth's and had help from children from the future. I haven't quite finished flash so I don't know what all flash went up against.

The old charmed focused on family and values. The new charmed focused on narcissistic hedonistic lifestyles and "THE MESSAGE." Honestly I am surprised this shit storm lasted as long as it did. Glad these shitty writers couldn't touch the original.

I have to dissagree. The new ones are exactly all about family. Familia para siempre and also the values of life not just life it self but all the world. They did stood up before the world destroying bomb sacrificing their lifes for the world but they got saved by the Ancient Charmed ones who died saving the world. So give it a chance

@@jadapinkett1656 the reboot was actually not that bad i was skeptical first as well but it started picking up after a few episodes it got actually really exciting despite the fact the show was all over the place when it came to feminism at the start but that toned down after a bit all in all i liked the reboot for what it was its kinda sad since especially season 4 started to really get good again but oh well

The way the OG Charmed ended was great, leave it be. Charmed did amazing work and lasted twice as long as this reboot of horribleness, yes, I watched several episodes of the new show and frankly, it is nothing of a rip off with a 2020 recast problem, literally coping plot points from the OG show. The source, the death of a sister at the end of season 3 (Shocker), season 4 being up and down. Well, let me tell you what would have happened if one of the Halliwell sisters opened that door; (depending on when they arrive at that door), if it is Prue, Piper and Phoebe, then the power of 3 spell would destroy the knock of version. Borrowing a quote from Scream, but when Sydney tells her cousin "Dont F/*--* with the original", basically applies here. If sisters were Piper, Phoebe and Paige, well, no spell needed, Piper would of blown them up right then and there. End of story, end of crossover. The original show and cast were and still are amazing, regardless of whatever internal issues they had on set. That is between them, not us. The OG cast and crew gave the world and amazing show. Yes I am one who would love for a reboot, but with the OG cast, of some kind, or going back in time down the Warren line, like the 1920s would of been great, remember, 3 cousins shared that house. Endless options in the Warren story. Let this current Reboot end, and never be heard from again.

Not sure who’s literally in charge of the dumb reboot but if it’s someone who didn’t do it the legal way surprised they don’t get sued for plagiarism copy rights because they basically copied a lot and did a shit acting job of the original. Only difference they did was trying to make it about views instead of real story telling. People like this crew who tried to do this and think it would even come as close to as successful as the original don’t even understand the statistics of story books and what’s makes fans glued It’s like them trying to put the non fiction in the fiction section.
This show wasn't good like the original charmed
The Charmed reboot, if ever it was one, had a chance to make its own breakthrough. The “reboot” was more gritty and darker, but unfortunately some of the main actresses of the show and ever the storylines got too political and more obsessed with being millennials and covering all irrelevant titles such as being LGBTs, being virgins and being so strong young women, being more important than the actual fantasy. Honestly you can happily be all those things but in your acting, not offscreen on social media war of words with others! I’m a proud person of colour and I also have membership with the LGBTs brigade, (although I’m non-active as I do love being single, really since birth,) but in the last decade who and what I am, people have made it ugly by their aggressive angry words and protest, when it’s really a beautiful thing to be a person of colour and to be LGBTs. Just because there was a time in history when white folks use to hate us, it doesn’t mean in modern time we need to be hateful in the way we present ourselves. Sarah Jeffrey was very loud about being proud of her ethnicity and being a strong woman of colour while attacking the original Charmed actresses, why? At the time Hollywood was a very white culture but time are changing and instead of slagging off the original Charmed, wouldn’t her time have been wisely spent with empowering young teenage girls and boys of colour so that they knew that they can achieve their dreams and aspirations when they grow up if they are willing to be educated and work their butt off to get to where they want to be in their life? It’s funny how Sarah Jeffery practically nearly choked on her comments of the original Charmed casts when the reboot suffered a premature ending and where was the finale scene? At the end of the day it seems everybody in America are very angry folks, I think it a pastime out there, but on a good note, a lot of black folks in recent movies and tv shows are from my side of the pond, the U.K.. I do strongly believe the best way to beat racism is to succeed yourself and be that guiding light for upcoming people of colour so that they have that positive role-model so that they can also succeed in their lives. Racist need power to put you down, but when you don’t give it to them it makes them look stupid, and anyway that racist isn’t important in your life

As an original fan i did that last week. I was watching the 8 season but the only thing that was in my head while watching was Mel's voice. I have to tell you something. Open you mind and heart give the new ones a chance. They'l get in your heart in a second. Trust me. I loved Prue so much. But Mel just won my herat like a charm. Trust me i was like you saying all the bad things before i watched it. One day i said what the hell let's check it out. And i' m glad i did
