at the very least, save before doing so, and she will forget it ever happened, which can go one of 2 ways, A: you continue with your Paragon playthrough (without getting too much Renegade points) or B: continuously Punch her until either you get bored of it, or decide to transition your playthrough to Paragade
For me the way to go is talk to her in me1, punch her in me2 to show that cerberus spirit and talk to her in 3 to show that in not a terrorist.
The way she dodges the first punch in the third game lmao. Now that's character development
She learned. She came for an interview but was prepared for a fistfight.
If you fight the urge in the prior games she gets a unique line that basically translates to her saying “square up “.

The sad thing is that it's her default response regardless of previous encounters. Did 1-3 full paragon and went back to 3 for a renegade NG+, she still dodges the punch. But I guess you gotta learn a thing or two about self-defence if you're antagonizing a krogan

The music in ME1 that plays in the area this happens sounds so upbeat and heroic, meanwhile you're fucking decking this woman. The way Shephard swings and the way she falls down and the sound it makes is just gold.
It's lightning in a bottle in terms of comedy. The ME3 scene is funny but nothing compares to the wooden execution in ME1. Although it is pretty hilarious how quickly Shepard just lays her out in ME2, she hasn't even said anything offensive yet.

That's what made it therapeutic for me. There's the virtuous notion of a journalist we read about in things like comic books. Then there's our real life experiences of what they are really like, some of the most evil and disgusting people, abusing their platforms in reality. They lie all the time and if you project that image on the character in the game then it kind of reproduces the way a lot of people feel toward mainstream journalism.
In ME1 I think it's mainly funny more because it's just absurd. In ME2, the way he says that he's had enough of her disingenuous assertions is exactly how we feel about the press these days. The version in this video of ME2 isn't the best. It works better when you didn't hit her in ME1 and you're playing as paragon.
I think the best part is when he headbutts her, he doesnt even close his eyes. He WANTED to see that impact.
