- From meeting Eddie Fiola and Bill Allen, to receiving Dave Mirra Memorabilia that was actually his at one point, to hanging out with Large Ray, Joe Cicman, as well as that entire crew..The Buckeye Bike Show was INCREDIBLE!
This video captures my perspective on the event as a whole and shows most of what happened throughout the day. Being the first time I ever went to a bike show, I didn't know what to expect. Even so, I had an awesome time and definitely plan to go to the next one!
Hope to see ya there

Eddie Fiola, the dude in the black shirt on the yellow bike, is a true BMX freestyle legend! He is my all time favorite freestyle rider from back in the day. The dude was the king of the skateparks! He really lived the dream and traveled the world, performing in shows. He even came to our little island of Kauai and had us mesmerized. Really cool seeing him there at the show. Thanks for checking this show out and sharing it with us!
Yeah I met Eddie as well at the Kellogg’s BMX event in Birmingham,England along with Bob Haro and Bob Morales.A cool dude. There were also a host of US racers there such as Greg Hill,Mike Miranda,Harry Leary,Andy Patterson,Brian Patterson and Eric Rupe. That was in 1984.I missed the 85 event but the 84 event was great.
I was blessed to meet Eddie at one of the first shows I went Summer 1988 , as well as Martin at the bike shop PJ Cycle Center in Lake Mary FL I rode for. I had them both sign my 86 pro performer I had back then in the dayglo orange rare color.
Saw him ride back in 1984 in Huntington Beach. The video is on the Internet. I had a Hutch Pro Raider I built up.
My absolute favorite rider since i saw him on channel 4 kellogs bmx chmps in 84 & 85....great memories...teatime viewin..brilliant viewing, great to see it on ytube. Eddies still the smoothest@@derekharrison1582
Awesome you're going out of your comfort zone and trying out different content to show. I've been riding since the 80s and still do. I love bike shows anything old, mid or new school I have and ride it all.
Thanks Brant for including my dad and so into your video. It was a awesome show and enjoyed sharing our bikes with you. Love the bike community, such awesome people. See you next time at Rays!!!!
That moonwalk is timeless.
29:49 moonwalk
No doubt !00%
I need to go to this event. My parents threw away so much of my old stuff (like that old Profile frame). I still have my old 1995 Hoffman frame and fork I got when I was 12. I need to build it up era correct.
That Sucks. Good Luck with your new build. 👍🏽🇺🇲😎🤘🏽
Eddie Fiola - The Flying Banana. Had the words Trix R 4 Kidz on the seat of his pants. Proper icon !!!
Yes...absolute favorite since i saw him first on channel 4s kellogs in 1984...still the king🤘
To this day still one of my personal Heroes from my childhood. Would love to meet Eddie one day!
Eddie's the man! I'd love to have one of his new bikes.
Just watched the entire video. it was really good. Eddie is still a showman. Lol Still skilled after all the years. I have a few of the bikes in this show. so original and some repops. love the two Haro guys Son and father that was awesome! GT and Haro are my two favorites I can't pick between the two both are amazing!
Awesome job Brant!
The million dollar slim Jim sticker 😊 so rad
14:33 dust cover on the bottom cup I had that on my Raleigh aero burner back in the day 👍🚲💨
The Dirt Skirt,,, I saw it also and couldn’t remember what it was called, then just as I read your comment the name came to me.
Had them on my Quad-Angle and PK Ripper, still have the PK,,,, man these videos bring back memories
Prestige level 1000
I’ll never forget my white MX II, it looked great but didnt have near enough leg room, gorgeous bike though with original flights on it. 2 tone Bullseye sealed hubs.. a first in the early 80’s.
This is so cool
11:33 Who is that doing the cherry picker in the 87 pro performer? I was wondering if that's Eddie Van Glick, if that was his name an awesome local in central Florida back in my days freestyling in the AFA series Florida from 1987 to 1988 when I competed. I noticed his shirt seems like it represents Tampa FL and I'm positive that's where he was from. I liked his style back then here's a couple years older when I was 15 in the 1415 intermediate class, I also was doing the older Tricks like cherry pickers and surfers As well as combining them with whiplashes and forward side glides. He did similar tricks except way more awesome! I think he was expert class 16 to 18. I'm probably wrong but he is pretty rad.
Awesome! Sorry for getting in so many of your clips taking pictures! 😆 I should have sent you the pics I took for your video!
Badass bikes. Wish I could go
Killer video brother. Was a great time and cool to finally meet you.
Wow, talk about eye candy! So nice.
When I was a kid, the Redline was the Holy Grail for me. I loved my Mongoose, but man, a REDLINE?!!!
Never delved further into the BMX world and really wish I hadn't missed that boat. I grew up about 10 miles from the Santa Clara BMX track where I could have really honed my skills. Oh well, a road bike and then mountain bikes came along, so my interests went in that direction.
Great show and bikes. Thanks for sharing 🚴❤
That green Sabbath!
Love those Dayglow Pink and Orange GT. ❤
Totally Rad.
👍😎 thanks for sharing. 🚴👍🏁🏁
Stompin' Stu!!!! Legend!

18:52 That Huffy Pro Lightning is one you dont see much.
Bikes look sooo killer inside under big ceiling lights.
The yo bike is lavender not hot pink. I have my original 88 predator YO black chrome and lavender . Tons of sweet bikes. Thank you for sharing this with us.
Beautiful bikes ✨🔥
Who knows about the brand STAR PRO ?
I HAD 2 different Redline RL20's that were stolen at different times after replacing the 1st one. 😢🤬 Apparently thieves wanted my Redlines More than I did. Luckily I still have my 1994 Standard Bykes "Lengthy" that I Built from the Ground up from '94-'95. The only non original parts on it are the Grips, Tires, and Brake cables which is normal when you still ride it once in a while. 😉
BMX e uma filosofia de vida e o melhor de tudo e poder fazer amigos e viver bom momentos sobre duas rodas

@@Brant_Moore Respect! Curious, is that Dave Mirra Saleen Mustang window sticker for sale?
@@gdb5448 I don't think I ended up with that if I'm remembering right
@@Brant_Moore I'd really like to have that window sticker. Can you tell me how to contact that guy? You referred to him as "large Ray"...figured he has a shop or website or something. Any help acquiring that sticker would be greatly appreciated. Dave was by far my favorite vert rider and I am also into Saleen Mustangs. Thanks!
@gdb5448 If he didn’t sell or give it away that day I’d guess he still has it.
He’s on Instagram as large_ray
I thought the color was indiglo pink? But maybe that was just gt's?? Not sure but def was Kool as shit to meet u bro at the bike show had to leave early due to bad migraine but def trying to meet again bro I got the rest of the stuff from large ray that I was getting but def wanna get ahold of him still to see if he has those Dyno suites still.. so Kool stay rad!,🤘
The Redline RL20-II Is "Radberry." I had the RL20 in that color, but a Thief decided that They wanted it More than I did. A Bolt cutter helped That happen. 😒
Dangit....😢
Old school BMX bikes can cost 💲 a lot of money…I have a 1986 Mongoose California in white and a 1987 Chrome Mongoose California both are original…👍👍🇦🇺
Carol reef pink is that color
Vamos PEDALAR uma BMX e fazer mais amigos com isto a vida vale a pena
Queria ver todas estas BMX sendo usadas com alegria e emoção faltou o piloto pedalando
SERIOUSLY. You NEED a Microphone. This video Almost needs Closed Captioning.
LOVE THE OLD SCHOOL BMX BIKES!!!
I wonder how many of these old school 70s 80s bikes on display are actually stolen property from the original owners back in the day.
You NEED a Microphone BIG TIME.
its day glo pink
