Osman had dreams that was basically a "heads up" of the future empire his offspring would create. Just because his offspring diverted from God's path doesn't mean god wasn't proud of it's rulers like Sulaiman or Mehmet. Osman was told numerous times that the empire of his offspring will decline as soon as they divert from God's path.

Suleiman I (Ottoman Turkish: سلطان سليمان اول Sultan Süleyman-ı Evvel; Turkish: I. Süleyman, Kanunî Sultan Süleyman or Muhteşem Süleyman; 6 November 1494 - 6 September 1566), commonly known as Suleiman the Magnificent in the West and Kanunî Sultan Süleyman (Ottoman Turkish: قانونى سلطان سليمان; "The Lawgiver Suleiman") in his realm, was the tenth and longest-reigning sultan of the Ottoman Empire from 1520 until his death in 1566. Under his administration, the Ottoman state ruled over 15 to 25 million people. Suleiman became a prominent monarch of 16th-century Europe, presiding over the apex of the Ottoman Empire's economic, military and political power. Suleiman personally led Ottoman armies in conquering the Christian strongholds of Belgrade and Rhodes as well as most of Hungary before his conquests were checked at the Siege of Vienna in 1529. He annexed much of the Middle East in his conflict with the Safavids and large areas of North Africa as far west as Algeria. Under his rule, the Ottoman fleet dominated the seas from the Mediterranean to the Red Sea and through the Persian Gulf. At the helm of an expanding empire, Suleiman personally instituted major legislative changes relating to society, education, taxation and criminal law. His reforms, carried out in conjunction with the empire's chief judicial official Ebussuud Efendi, harmonized the relationship between the two forms of Ottoman law; sultanic (Kanun) and religious (Sharia). He was a distinguished poet and goldsmith; he also became a great patron of culture, overseeing the "Golden" age of the Ottoman Empire in its artistic, literary and architectural development. Breaking with Ottoman tradition, Suleiman married Hurrem Sultan, a woman from his harem, a Christian of Rusyn origin who converted to Islam, and who became famous in the West by the name Roxelana. Their son Selim II succeeded Suleiman following his death in 1566 after 46 years of rule. Suleiman's other potential heirs Mehmed and Mustafa had died, the former from smallpox and the latter had been strangled to death 13 years earlier at the sultan's order. His other son Bayezid was executed in 1561 on Suleiman's orders, along with his four sons, after a rebellion. Although scholars no longer believe that the empire declined after his death, the end of Suleiman's reign is still frequently characterized as a watershed in Ottoman history. In the decades after Suleiman, the empire began to experience significant political, institutional, and economic changes, a phenomenon often referred to as the Transformation of the Ottoman Empire.
There's something about the melody of the original Ceddin Deden that makes it sound splendid and harmonious. Compositions like this one only serve to make that even more apparent. I don't even like the Civ series, but I certainly like this theme a lot. The peace version is welcoming, yet glorious, while the war version is menacing, yet also glorious. Both versions are fitting not just for your relations with them, but also for the purpose of highlighting the sheer power (culturally, administratively, diplomatically and especially militarily) of the Ottoman Empire, and that, to me, is everything you want out of a musical composition. This wouldn't be out of place in any game that featured the Ottomans at their peak.

This one time I was at war with Suleiman, I sent a submarine under some ice to check out the Ottoman bay, see what I was dealing with. Next turn, said submarine is surrounded by Frigates, Ironclads, a Great Admiral, Caravels, Privateers, and a Destroyer. Granted a lot of those ships were out-teched, but if that was just a small piece of their navy, I wasn't having any of it, when I can just hit them from the land.
The Ottoman Empire truly was magnificent. What most people don’t realize about the overall massive importance of this empire was that during its start, 13th century, Islam was at a great decline, as the collapsed abbasids were the last great Islamic empire. And although empires such as the Safavids and mughals arose, they were never as powerful as or as important geographically as the Ottoman Empire. Without a great Muslim power controlling the lands that link the east and the west, Christian Europe would have most likely conquered the lands of Anatolia, balkans, and North Africa, maybe even reaching the holy city of Mecca, turning much of these parts of the world into what would be Christian nations if it weren’t for the ottomans. And to think that this great empire arose from a small beylik like many others in Anatolia! Osman’s dream of a tree rooting from his chest and shadowing the whole world was a true one indeed, as his empire spanned the three main continents, Africa Asia and Europe.
Me: > Meets Suleiman by finding the city he just placed right next to my capital > Starts to gather military forces, because I know this fucker Suleiman: > Asks for friendship > Promises not to settle close to my borders > Next turn - builds three more cities as close to my capital as possible
Very sadly these guys were underrated. During the height of their time they kicked egypts ass and nearly austria. They even controlled parts up in north africa as well as the middle east. These guys are almost unstopable if played right. Maybe more powerful than genghis khan but thats my theory.
He is the only man in history that everyone scared to put an army against him. When he attacked Safavids, they just ran away, when he attacked Habsburgs(Holy Roman Empire) they also ran away. Those were the strongest empires after Ottomans.(Spain was also in Habsburg's control) None of the enemies had the courage to put an army against him in an open land battle after the Battle of Mohacs which battle he basically raped Europe's strongest land army at the time(Hungary) in only 2 hours with no more than 1000 soldier loss. There is no another example of this in history as far as I know. When Roman Empire attacked Sassanids, Sassanids gathered an army, when UK attacked France, French also put an army, same thing with USA and other superpowers in history. Suleiman was living in a time of strong empires. (Holy Roman Empire that also includes Spain , Portugal, Safavids and all of them were at their golden ages.) Genghis had never faced a strong enemy, all of his opponents were mediocre at best.
@@ikielinsesi1843 "Genghis Never faced a strong army." China, Hungary, The Seljuks, The Russians, Khwarezmians, Poland, and Georgia. Mongolia even scared the Roman Pope. The only reason why the rest Europe wasnt conquered was because of some Mongolian election. And to think they started from a tribe...
Ottomans are overrated, they got their asses kicked by Malta, MALTA! They were raped by Poland and Got their butt eaten Easyern European rebels. They also went up against mediocre foes, the brag about conquering these weak Middle eastern countries who had worse tech than them and then brag about taking Constantinople while they are just a few provinces. The Mongols built the biggest empire the world has ever seen while the ottomans weren't even the size of Australia, ffs stop overestimating yourselves.
@@shaunibabe1 All of these kingdoms and sultanates you have mentioned were were at their lows except Khwarezmians and Georgia. Russians were so weak at the time, Seljuks in Anatolia faced many crusader armies and destruction, Poland and Lithuania(Commonwealth) was strongest at the 16th century. Georgia was always small even at their peak. Hungary and China weren't whole empires unlike 16-20th century empires. Landlords were fighting for their own purposes and wasnt fighting a whole against invaders. China had many small dynasties and kingdoms and it was easy to conquer them one by one. Like I said, the only whole and active force Mongols faced was Baibars and Mamelukes which resulted as Baibars victory.

This song is magnificent.
One of my favorite music piece.
Me:
> Meets Suleiman by finding the city he just placed right next to my capital
> Starts to gather military forces, because I know this fucker
Suleiman:
> Asks for friendship
> Promises not to settle close to my borders
> Next turn - builds three more cities as close to my capital as possible
I'm in love with Suleiman the magnificent.
I don't know why, but this game has the best music of all time!
because it was an invincible empire almost till its end
This is the one civ where I can expect to have no problems with the entire game. Unless I'm doing domination, then they are unstoppable.
Incredible music!
I really like Suleiman, such a bro.
+İki Elin Sesi Might wanna check your sources...
If you play as Persia, you will never hear this.
Tek kelime ile harika lan,duygulandım
Magnificent Suleiman greeting you
One of the most brilliant brains the world has ever seen to this day. Suleiman the Magnificent.
His trades are always the best.
1:26 is perfect!
Islam is great. Christianity is great. Judaism is great. Faith is great. Its a shame we are so mistrustful of each other.
Fantastic Leader, great unique units, incredible soundtrack, medicore trait.
Listen to this while building up the Ottoman War Machine.
Awesome song. Love it.
Some say, you can even hear the players yelling, just on the edge of your senses, from all the games where Sulieman exists.
