We need a more satisfactory structure to the sport than the sanctioning bodies provide.
Boxing is and always has been the wild west. It doesn't have governance. It has private organisations that make up their own rules on a whim to suit the highest bidder.
You'll never get governance in boxing on a global scale. Promoters and sanctioning bodies will never voluntarily agree to being held to account.

The argument about whyte getting iced by Povetkin is the dumbest argument ever because a loss doesnât always mean a fighters stock goes down especially if the fighter redeems themselves in a rematch. Fact still stands, Dillian whyte has done more gate revenue than fury in the UK, Dillian whyte has sold more PPV than Tyson fury in the UK. Yes fury hasnât fought much in the UK even if he did, his gate revenue wouldnât be that much different from whyteâs in the UK. Plus Tyson fury isnât really a draw here in the US like a lot of people may believe, Tyson fury canât sell out a wing dinner if he isnât fighting deontay wilder. His 2 fights without Deontay wilder; Otto wailing and Tom Schwartz did horrendous numbers; they were giving out free tickets in Las Vegas to fans, I got free tickets for myself and two of my other friends for both the wailing and Schwartz fights and I can tell you for a fact that the arena was half empty. Furyâs market value is all smokes and mirrors. They lost a lot of money for his 3 fights against Deontay wilder; his PPV numbers for the Deontay wilder fights on BTSPORT were described as abysmal, same goes for the Otto wailing and Tom Schwartz fights in the UK.
