I’ll be honest, I didn’t think much of the 42” 11 drawer work station that GEARWRENCH sent me when I first got it. After I checked it out, I changed that attitude real quick.
For me, the GEARWRENCH 42” workstation has become an indispensable part of my shop. It’s a convenient place to store all of my electrical tools and equipment, as well as a place to work on small projects. It’s something I simply can’t live without now.

This would be perfect to compliment my 34" HF service cart. I like these non cringy "sponsored" reviews, but that $1700 price tag is steep! Granger wants over $2600? 😌
I appreciate the review Eric, but you can get basically the same thing at HF for $400. And that's with glowing reviews here on YT. Look up the Yukon 46" mobile storage cabinet. It even comes with the butcher's block top. You can buy 2 of the Yukons, and still have over $900 left to buy more tools. 🤔

It would be nice if they made their new boxes with “Retro” colors of red and black for those who want to match things up to other red chests in the shop. I have a Matco service cart and it’s red. This cart in red and black would be great! I know that’s their old colors, but there is a demand.

I see allot of people always complaining about the prices of tool storage units yeah 2500$ is expensive for a box but if you work in the trade like I do ( heavy duty mechanic) it’s more of a investment into your future because you will be using it every single day for years

    Channel steps:
1: Your channel targets at-home and diy mechanics.
2: You get a lot of subs posting useful content for said audience.
3: Try to sell a toolbox that costs more than a decent scan tool, cherry picker, engine stand, and all the tools you would need to rebuild an engine combined.
    4: Profit?

I like it! Love well-organized toolboxes. Earlier this year, I bought something similar from Harbor Fright that seems to be a good value at under 200 bucks, so that may be worth looking into if anyone needs another box.
One difference is that the top opens up into a compartment, which holds my impact guns.
That's a two-edged sword because it is often used as a convenient table, but you have to move stuff to open it. It would have been better if they made that into a drawer, like your gear wrench. box.

Hey Eric, greetings from Australia. Long time sub here, first time commenter. (I think?)
Question: Why do shop mechanics tend to use toolboxes as opposed to hanging/shadowboarded tools? Or am I just wrong? Or is the answer simply in anticipation of potentially being moved out of the shop at some point making it not worth doing?
Can you have a quick look at my video on tool storage and shadow boarding. It's the only video I have and even if you just watch it for 30 seconds to have a quick look at what I did at my place. Not trying to grab views, it's just simply very relevant to this video you posted and I reckon you'll like it. Cheers mate.

USB-A only and ac ports are too close. The locking door could have included small storage, or a cordura pocket caddy. A small side fold-up shelf. I like to keep a work light on the top of my toolbox but would be nice to have a built-in one that folds/swivels back so I don't use workspace. Maybe a cup holder. :-) This is a good start though.

@@cheesemons Yeah. Which is why CZcams pays him enough to not have to be a mechanic anymore. All this video amounts to is literally abusing people to make a buck. There's a difference there.

@@mentaldemise actually I don't mind reviews of items like this. Eric is an honest person who will tell it like it is. What I hate is youtubers who also have a patreon channel shilling something like razors in all of their videos.

@@SuperBuzzbomb I don't mind calling out helpful tools by any means. This is an entire paid video advertisement though. My issue is that there's no objective way now to know if he IS being honest, or being paid. Is there?

@@mentaldemise but Eric didn't spam adverts videos like some CZcamsrs. And at the very least, we really need to be thankful that he didn't mention Raid: Shadow Legend or something.
Also he is describing and doing a show and tell with the tool cart. Kinds objective in nature IMHO too

Looked good until I saw the ridiculous price. I'm guessing Eric got his as a freebie from gearwrench.

Nice item to have in your workshop, but I can't even afford one from Harbor Freight, which are also pretty nice, but much more affordable.

Their sockets are really excellent quality and the design is as good as Snap on. I have both and I know.
