    Wow I remember SWM from the early 80's Dirt Rider magazines. They made good off road enduro bikes too. Always wondered what happened to them. Big blast from the past for me !

    If only Suzuki would take some notes and upgrade the DRZ... this is all the upgrades we ask for but of course don’t wanna let go of the bulletproof reliability of the DRZ400SM

      @TheMotopologist  Před 4 lety +7

      Manjinder, I did a video on the DRZ as well. The DRZ owns the supermoto field in terms of reliability and super low maintenance cost and unfortunately adding any more power would decrease the bikes longevity, but dropping 20lbs would be awesome!

      @@TheMotopologist Yes, that would be something to consider. But Suzuki, from what i've read, should at least add a 6th gear to the supermoto (and the dual-sport version). And dammit Yamaha should have already been made the wr400r!
      :(

      ye defo buy a drz . changes would need to be made though . there a bit behind . 1. 500cc , 2. 50-55bhp , 3. 6 speed , 4. lighter , 5. fuel injection , 6. alloy chassis , 7. upgraded electrics ( lights and clocks etc etc ) , 8. larger fuel tank , and a few other things . reliiblity and performance is the key .

    Do you know for a fact that the critical engine components are not made in China? Yes it may be a lot cheaper thrn it’s competition but with low quality critical parts in manufacture means a couple years down the track it may not be so reliable.
    Any current owners please comment or chime in? I am interested in this bike for enduro riding not for super moto. Just as it is designed for.
    Hope to hear back soon from current owners of the latest SWM RS500.
    Cheers
    Jeff ( Australia)

      SWM here in Australia are absolutely hopeless. I emailed and called many times looking for information and to see the bike in the flesh. No return emails no return calls no information to read. Got sick of it just bought a Husqvarna and extremely happy, even after paying so much more. Shame really as I wanted the SWM but the customer service is atrocious particularly here in the state of Victoria 👎

    Hi, is it 55hp with stock exhaust too? I saw that this is a euro 4 exhaust stock and maybe it make the bike slower?

    I had one. At first glance it's awesome! That's why I bought it brand new from the dealer in 2018. Guess what. It's not. Reliability is a huge problem ...

      @@n40798 Yes. But there are many other problems that I thankfully didn't have. I spent a year in the forum and I've seen multiple Gearboxes breaking and engines blowing up after 5-7,5k miles. Not my thing tbh. I sold after just 1800 miles because I was sick of the hassle.
