One of my favorite tracks from the 80s

Written by: Bernhard Lloyd, Marian Gold, Frank Mertens
Featured the PPG wave 2.2 , the Logan String Melody II, the Arp Odyssey III and the Roland JX-3P Synthesizer
This cover song series contains my own recreations of my favourite songs from the last 50 years. The original music from which I take inspiration belong to their respective owners. I recreate tracks only for personal passion and to pay homage to these tracks.
My intention is not to create covers that sound exactly like the original (if you want to hear identical sounds, please listen the original). It's more of an inspiration with my sounds from the old synthesizers from the past and of course the great appreciation for the original performers and producers.

Hej wow nice cover forever young nice song and yes I bought the Alphaville forever young album first on vinyl back in 1984 when it's was released and, later i bought this album on cd. Many good songs on this classic album 80s music when it's at its best take care and have a lovely day.

The solo was the ARP.
Love it. What surprises me is how good the Logan strings sound when in the mix (I was expecting to see an Emulator or something) and also the brass lead on the ARP. Great work.

A great track. It was not big here in the UK but big in Japan was a massive hit. I just love hearing that Roland synth and the beautiful German PPG. I do have a soft spot for that synth, remember it so well from my youth and all the bands I loved had one. I love your demo using many great synths there. Just love hearing many synths come together. As always fantastic playing there and making a great demo of this track. Top man, top channel and beautiful synths.

I was surprised you did the „trumpet“ solo with the Odyssey. I think the original was created with a DX7, or am I mistaken there?
Thank you. The original lead was made on the ARP but the pad was a JP8.

I use the Odyssey and the Quadra. 👍🎹
All synths go through my old Roland mixer and than in the audio interface. I use Cubase for recording
@retrosound72 I'm still playing clubs to supplement my retirement. Lol. But I'm gonna call it quits soon and set up a music room. I don't have the inventory like you have, not many people do, I have 7 different synthesizers , and that should work for now..
