New Fuel Pump Module Assembly from 1AAuto.com 1aau.to/ia/1AFPU01426
Combustion engines need three things to operate: fuel, air, and spark. If your fuel pump isn’t delivering the fuel your engine needs, it will run poorly, or not at all. Or, the pump is fine, but your fuel gauge isn’t working. Many modern pumps include an integrated sending unit. Either way, a new engineered to fit fuel pump for TRQ is just what you need. This video shows you how to install a new TRQ fuel pump with integrated sending unit in your 2007-12 Nissan Altima.

Thanks for the video. I should’ve had it done in 30 minutes but it never goes that way. Took me about 3 hours total. Some tips for anyone tackling this:
- the punch and hammer is very useful. Spend the $10 on a large brass punch from Harbor Freight or something. Trust me.
- even with a punch it might be difficult to get the ring off. Just keep trying. Hit it on the shoulder with the punch and hammer, not the longer part on the ring. You’ll be able to make more force by hitting it on the shoulder. Hitting it on the longer part pointing backwards will bend it but you can just bend it back when you get it off.
- Pulling out the pump is frustrating. At some point after trying for 30 minutes, I just decided to pull up very hard and it finally came out. Spilled a bunch of fuel but mine did not come out as easily as the video. The replacement pump is much easier to put in.
- yes, needing to push down on the pump to install is normal. You’ll need to use some amount of force to push the spring down.
- reinstalling the ring: apply some silicone grease to the contact points of the metal ring, top and bottom. Just use a very thin layer all around. Makes reinstall of the ring a breeze as it slides right on with each tap. Wipe the silicone off the top once you’re finished so it doesn’t attract dirt. But there should still be some silicone under the tab itself, which means if you ever need to take the ring off again, it’ll be way easier than this time!
Good luck!
I don't need a man when I have youtube, thanks brother!
Fixed my daughters FP in about 20 minutes because of this video. Thank you for posting!
Let me just say You made that look easy ! i was going to rent a jackhammer at one point than a miracle happened right after I finished rolling around in my driveway crying like a 3 year old on the play ground I figured one last tap before i call the tow company to take it to the junk yard and Bam ring came loose 🍼🍻 now onto the compressor 😫
Great video! Very clear. The price estimates online for this job vary widely from $150 to $1.500. Given than the part costs about $50, there is no way the whole process should take more than 2 hours and cost more than $200.
Very professional. Every detail was covered on a well done video. Thanks
The way he says vehicle totally kills me. Good job guy.
Great video. This doesn’t seem crazy intense. Why does Nissan want to charge me $900 for a 30-40 minute job?
Nice explanation and great camera work! One suggestion: how about taking a vacuum and some rags to the surrounding area(s) prior to removing the lock plate to limit the amount of grit & grime that could potentially fall into the fuel tank and create more work for the filter? Just a suggestion.
Exactly..blow out all the dirt and clean it up before you take anything apart.
Well done and excellent suggestion to use a brass punch to avoid sparking.
Hey! you are from 1AAuto! Im glad you decided to do this on your own!
Nice, clever, step by step clear explanation - the best what i could see!!! thanks, good luck!
You are absolutely awesome !! Thank you so very much! I couldn't have done it without you !!!
Learned a new mechanic term, hookydoo. This is a great video. Saved me a ton of money and time.
I liked your video. You spoke plain english which made it very easy to understand. I also liked the way you would say hookey do's
Great video! This video also applies to the 2010 Maxima (7th gen).
I used a spray bottle with a little soap mixed in water and a shop vac to clean up the area around the sender. I also disconnected the fuel pump electrical connector, started the engine until it stalled. I sprayed some wd40 on the lock ring for disassembly, used a bit of silicone grease on the seal (to keep it positioned) and lock ring tabs when reassembling to make it easier. Ezy peazy.
+TommyMacDaddy1 Thanks for the feedback! 1aau.to/m/Shop-TRQ

Good video brotha
THANK YOU.
The fuel filter is also in that fuel pump kit correct??
Do you know where the pump is on a 2010 altima coupe?
What is theres a slight whistle sound after turning car on ?
Lol my boy jumped ship from 1A Auto 😂
Lolololololol. I said the same thing when i started this video
I followed your instructions and after installing, it cranks very long and never starts. Can suggestions greatly appreciated, right now cannot do anything.
FIX: I used Delphi FG0986 for Altima 2011, the plug and connector didn't snap in completely I have to push it hard. Thanks to one reviewer in Amazon. However check engine light is still on, will drive some miles and update again
How’s it going now?
So I got some dirt and stuff in my gas tank when I took out the fuel pump, should I be fine?
Do those fuels lines have a gasket in them because mine is leaking from the one with a blue clip
Loved the video, Just replaced mine, but not it’s not starting or cranking
+randymarsh723 Thanks for checking us out!
Did you go figure it out?
Lmfao they gave no fuks
Relearn reset procedure
Question: Is the Fuel Filter built into my fuel pump of external to it...? 2008 Nissan Altima.
Which hose in the video is the Fuel OUT hose,...and which hose is the vapor hose, back IN.??
Thanks
Is the fuel filter inside the fuel pump assembly? I can't find a fuel filter anywhere on this car, and I'm getting a message on my screen that I need to change the fuel filter.
Do you have to relearn the computer after disconnecting the battery?
Excellent description. Would it hurt anything to spray lubricant like WD 40 on the lock ring to make it easier to remove and reinstall?
No it wouldn't hurt
Are these TRQ pumps reliable?
Hello thank you for the video, would you happen to know why the fuel filters prices range so much? For example for the link and filter you provided it is less than 100 whereas my local autozone told me these filters range to upwards up 600 dollars
Autozone makes their money by overpricing their parts.
Yo! I literally just left AutoZone and was quoted $400 brand-new lifetime warranty or a refurbished one for $185 with 1 year warranty. I'm going to the picknpull
What size is the brass punch
Now what if you did everything step by step. But your gas light comes on when it's gas in the car? What would cause that error?
Where can I get the brass punch?
I bought your brand of fuel pump for my vehicle and it didn’t work, I have tried 1 other aswell and they both haven’t worked, I didn’t everything in this video and yet it always fails to start after a replacement. Do I need to prime the pump at all? Or is there anything I could be missing?
When I put the original pump back in, it runs but not well
I'm having a problem putting the ring back in place
Any one know where can I get one of those brass punch? Thanks.
Try Amazon, Lowe's or home Depot.
Honestly, I would just get a copper pipes different widths and lengths and have them cut it to the sizes you need
What can I If pump won't come out
So what if the car won’t start at all. will the pressure still be released when trying to start the car?
I'd like an answer to this too
How to know if I need to replace the fuel pump? I have a Altima 2010 2.5, and it is making only 5km per litre (like 13 miles per gallon). I am thinking about cleaning the injectors, but I am not sure if it would be enough, as the Altima can't be serviced by changing the fuel filter since it is part of the pump. Opinions? Thanks!
My 2011 2.5 has a bad fuel pump. Usual symptoms are rough idle/hesitation and no power upon acceleration. My car won’t even get up to 20mph with full throttle up a hill and I can hear the pump when I turn the car on. I used a fuel cleaner first and that helped out somewhat but either way that pump needs to be changed. For your case, if you are experiencing any of the problems I listed then a pump it probably required. If not then you may need a tune up or it could be your driving style
That was easy wow i paid 945 on nissan dealer on my 2009 nissan altima yesterday 😭
What problems were you having with your car?
that was good with no playing & bull shat thank you sor in jesus name a men
I can't seem to get my back seat out, I pulled both pull tabs and NOPE will not come out
Has anyone had a problem with a small air leak?
Sergio Hernandez it sounds like mine leaks to but i think its just my aftermarket pump is just more noticeable in sound
🤗... I ❤ Lenny
5:33 ( installation )
He never put the fuse back 😳
He did in the beginning
He put it right back in after he removed it
Allo
It probly cost you less the 5cents to include new fuel line clips but thats too much to ask for
That battery is corroded to hell.
+Xyero Thanks for watching our video! 1aau.to/m/Shop-TRQ
