Papa Nurgle…
There's only ever been the one choice. And he's purple and thirsty

kinda sad that in the thumnail, while Tzeencht and Nurgle have cool current minis in their picture, Khorne has the uber derpy 20 year old zerker and Slaanesh a literaly 30k mini from another game system lol
Exactly. Want to play chaos? Play 30k it's all we have left

They're angry little men, just like Angron.
@@papanurgle8393 listen, just cause you got the worst primarch doesn't mean you can stop being nice for even a second grandpa
Given how popular Marines are and the core of the IP being built up around the Heresy it just amazes me that GW doesn't make more effort to make Chaos Marines consistently competitive.
You do not choose your Chaos God. Chaos God chooses you.
Or like with Angron, when Lorgar forced Khorn to choose his brother=D
You're goddamn right.

I currently play Death Guard, since they have some of the best looking minis, but as soon as the Emperor's Children get a range re-fresh I'm going all in for Slaanesh
Same way for me except with khorne. When we get there, there will not be a single vein unopened

My exact sentiments. The DG are cool and serve me well for now, but the second they release a proper noise marine kit...
Tzeentch is the most "chaos" to me. Eldritch, ever-changing, unknowable.
Right? Khorne in particular just likes fighting, which is basically the same as every "good" faction in 40k.

2:39 Flesh hounds have had minis since the late 80s. Realm of Chaos: Slaves to Darkness came out in 1988 and they predated that book by a bit. They're older than many current 40K players are. The plastic kits are at least the third iteration of the concept.
Yeah, I still have 5 of the old metal ones I bought when I first started playing 40k in the early 90s.
Yep. I will concede that the original flesh hounds look very gaunt & weedy compared to the new plastic kits, but they were some of the better metal daemon minis back in the day.
Thank you. Came to say this (and my metal flesh hounds from the early 90s thank you as well). Flesh hounds pre-date skull cannons ans chariots for Khorne.
I like how there's a phoenician guard there from 30k before he was slaanesh...
Are we ever going to get new khorne or slaanesh marines? I realise that slaanesh doesnt win GW many Twitter points but is kinda sad given how amazing the nurgle and TS models are.
I believe Slaanesh got support fairly recently in AoS with Saint Seiya looking miniatures
I hope we'll get Emperor's Children mini, I always thought the concept of Noise Marine sounded really cool
In all likelihood we will with Khrone being released released before Slaanesh as Khorne sells better over all, and it is feasible to imagine that Angron would sell better than Fulgrim. I say this being Slaanesh fan.
Slaanesh is the living embodiment of all the twitter SJW's, l can't see any way how they wouldn't hit a massive score by releasing the first official non binary transsexual space marine drag queens of colour promoting body positivity.
l mean they did a big release with AoS and all the twitter people loved it, so why not 40k too?
You got the ragers, the superspreaders, the "screw it, well see what happens" and the struggle snugglers
Daemons of Khorne here, I’m just here to say it’s tough to get to the other side of the board. Carrying 3 thirsters and like 80+ letters, it’s very easy to get shot off the board turn in turn 2
I've always enjoyed Papa Nurgle, Death Guard are my favorite chaos legion and the model range has been a blast to collect.
Emperors Children for sure! Give me phoenix terminators in 40k alongside new noise bois, a new Lucius model, and big scary snake Fulgrim. Throw in a loyal clone Fulgrim if GW is feeling really spicy
While I am right there with you, I do think the next Cult Legion will be World Eaters since Khorne generally sells better.
EC children getting the full DG treatment would be amazing. But like you said id take a primarch, terminators and noise marines and be happy.
They'll all be purged in holy fire.
Also would like to point out that the World Eaters were Khorne's second choice, his first were the Blood Angels but Sanguinius ain't no traitor.
source? (on the "second choice" thing; i don't need canon confirmation that sanguinius was loyal to the emperor)
@@soupalex Look up the Signus campaign where sanguinious was tempted but resisted chaos (it predates the Shadow crusade by a 1-2yy, where angrond was demonified)
There is also some evidence that Nurgle wanted Perturaubo and his Iron Warriors.

Just yesterday I ran a game where I played Tzeentch Daemons vs. Khorne Daemons. It was a bit feels bad for my opponent how his bloodthirsters got completely crippled by their wound profile while my LoC's mostly didn't care.
Man he has to use a forge world model to represent a emperor's children marine, kinda sad that primaris have a full range and it's a "new" army and EC don't even have a noise marine model ( plese don't bring the solo noise marine into discussion, that is a joke on GW's part).
I fully agree, all the others got squads if their specialized marines so where are the noise boyz?

Demon tips for noobs:
1. Exalt (stratagem from engine war) your greater demons Everytime.
Unexalted demons are not worth their points
2.make an exalted lord of change your warlord. Give him aura of mutability, impossible robes, and incomporeal form. He will be one of the hardest models in the game to kill.
Running multi-god is just a viable a mono. If you run multi- god take all slanesh models in a patrol detachment. The mono slanesh buff is a must have. The rest depends on your opinion.
With great unclean ones watch out for the fact that they have 18 wounds unlike the 16 the rest have. He can't hide behind buildings.
Beasts of nurgle are S tier in Max sized units.
Nurglings are S tier. They can start on objectives and are just tough enough to divert critical enemy attention for a turn to get them off. 66 pts of awesome.
Spam great demons. I take 4 keeper of secrets in every list.
The named greater demon for each god doesn't count towards the rules of three. So you can take 4 of each greater demon.
There are a lot more tips I can give, but I want you guys to use what's here to inspire you to have fun and know that you can win. Have fun
I couldn’t decide, so I have all 4 of them, though by far Khorne is my largest.
I have an Emperors Children biker army .....Hope GW bring out a Fulgrim that can keep up. :-)

AND Doomrider. \M/
@@ReubenAotearoa_ Woah....i have never heard of this ! Looks like a new kitbash project. Cheers guys !
Anyone that has a standalone codex... So either tzeentch or Nurgle.
You know what would be great, GW releasing Fulgrim and Angron in a box set, fighting against each other, with their own codices. That would be great, not gonna happen, but it would be great...
this video shouldve been, "Papa Nurgle always loves you, the end"
“His enemies shall wither and die. His allies shall wither and die. The universe and all within it shall wither and die. And when the Great Corruption has settled over the land, and permeated the very foundations of reality itself, then shall the Lord of All rise from the rot and ruin, spread his arms wide to reclaim all his dutiful children...”
Back in the early 2000's when i did tournaments I used a Chosen of Khorne army when playing Fantasy. Most times i ended up winning the Best General which at that time was the best battle score not to finish in the top 3 as that were deceided by multiple factors not just winning the actual battle itself. Back then in 40k my tournament army was Iyanden Craftworld Eldar. Having been basically retired from the hobby for about 15 years i'm just getting back into it & starting with a Thousand Sons army though i might put it on hold until the new Codex arrives & Go Death Guard in the meantime. I am more of an undivided type though so i'll probably do an army of each God & field them with Black Legion if i was to play an Armageddon sized battle.
For amusement value here's my Chosen of Khorne fantasy army. Lord on Chaos Dragon. Exalted Champion on Daemonic Steed. Exalted Champion on Juggernaught leading 5 Chosen Knights of Khorne. 2 Chaos Chariots. 2 units of 6 Flesh Hounds of Khorne. 2000 points of murderous goodness. Funniest battle was against Skaven. My opponent basically gathered his entire army in a huge block in the middle of his deployment zone. I got first turn. Everything in my army had a move of at least 7 so i marched across the battlefield to stop outside his charge range but in mine. His turn he hardly moved & what ever shooting he had was more dangerous to himself as a Warpfire Thrower exploded & my dispel dice negated all of his spells. My next turn everybody charged. Some units fled & were caught & rundown due to failing fear tests. Every body inflicted pretty much max damage in combat to such an extent he didn't get to fight back & after a lot of failed break tests & subsequent panic tests all he was left with was his Grey Seer on screaming bell & it's unit of Stormvermin. First thing he had to do next turn was take a terror test due to the dragon & the rest of his army promptly left the table :)
i have given myself to khorne, blood for the bloodgod and skulls for the skull throne
The 4 gods of chaos, reveal steams, limited releases, pre orders and constant faq
I would swap out "constant FAQ" for "Codex Creep" ... for without it you wouldn't need the constant FAQ!
Always love to see videos on chaos and chaos space marines. Thanks for the great vid!
Ideologically, I prefer Tzeentch, as change is nature, and he genuinely just wants to keep the universe spinning.
Comfortably, Nurgle will undoubtedly treat the individual best, and is least likely to cause unnecessary suffering...ironically.
Respectfully, Khorne is perhaps the most honest and straight forward of the "Dark Gods". Honor, and all that.
Slaanesh never should've been made.
Khorne and Tzeentch, the two most powerful and badass Chaos gods
I think what would help the Cult Legions when they finally make the last 2 is to do away with the Daemon Codex and do what AoS did and just merge the followers and the daemons like they used to in older editions of 40k.
When I played Chaos and Conquest, almost every time I opened a Warlord Chest, the Favours wound up belonging to one of Nurgle’s followers. So in the Term “You Don’t Choose the Chaos God, the Chaos God Chooses You.” By believing that statement I realized Grandpappy Nurgle chose me, and that was who I wanted to serve
I feel suitably inspired to go and paint some bloodletters now. Cheers, AT.
I can answer the question for you.
Nurgle
Hail the dark Father of Plagues. 🧙♂️
Perfect video. Been wondering this. Wanted to make a chaos army once their codex is out.
Hope you're ready to wait a long time.
I'd be surprised if anything other than the basic (and probably underwhelming) csm codex comes out anytime soon.
@@egnaroelprup id guess TS will be out and a few months later we'll get a CSM codex which as you said will be mediocre compared to the SM codex

Is it worth doing a video on all the Legions that follow Chaos Undivided?
Yes
Well, I have about 50 unpainted pink horrors in front on me as I watch this. Team Tzeentch, hooya!
Very nice work.
Give me Emperor Children Terminators with their power Spears.
And dreadnoughts and vehicles with sonic weapons as a option
Slaanesh: I like you and I want you, now we can do this the easy way or we can do this the hard way, the choice is yours
Reevs chainaxe with malicious intent
Lmao tom is going chaos eh?
Khorne was also the god of Technology, Battle and Honor but those aspects seem to have been forgotten.
Well the chaos gods represent the world so as things devolve into more war and death then the gods will also change to be more violent and single minded
Honestly, I want to make an army for all 8 forces. I have Thousand Sons and Deathguard, my wife liked the Sons and I liked the Deathguard. I need to flesh those forces out a bit before I start dipping heavily into a more robust couple of demon armies. I'm holding out hope that the Emperor's Children or World Eaters will get some kind of range and codex so I'll probably just focus on the demon side of them. Maybe it is just me I feel like one of them is coming soon.
I’m using this to make an apocalypse sized chaos soup
Tzeentch for my alpha legion. I think it fits with the fluff. I like how the alpha legion is a covert kinda army, always ambushing and mysterious and I think if they were to have an allegiance with a chaos God it would be the lord of change. Always keeping you guessing.
The Alpha legion is a better fit for Tzeentch than the Thousand Sons in my opinion.
@@blackgobbogaming4236 what if they are his legion, thousand sons is just a front to fool on lookers. It does fit
It's my head Cannon that Tzeench is just cool enough to get two legions, and he could actually win the great game, but his goal isn't to win, it's to play, so he holds back all the time. Tzeench has *already won* because the Galaxy is exactly where he wants it.
Love the video!! Any chance you’ll cover some of the specialty games for 40k? I’m getting into Adeptus Titanicus and would love your insight :)
Deathguard is my favorite playstyle. I like the slow moving tanky style army. However, Tzeentch has the coolest aesthetics in demons and thousand sons. I think he has more style than slaanesh.
@That British Guy that’s also why I love salamanders as well. Just walk forward with a bunch of aggressors and terminators and melt everything in sight.
Nurgle is not just about death decay rot and pestilence. If you read any of their lore you'll learn they're also about life and rebirth. Nurgle rots so life can begin, it's literally the reason for the garden of nurgle a forever cycle of rot to death to rebirth or giving one's own for another life to begin (mostly insects) if you look at the units their all gardeners. Flesh mowers, bearers are like bees and pollinate their plaguemarines literally tend the garden of nurgle during times of rest. I always joke that I'm just a farmer while play nurgle

The Man Emperor of Mankind!
I own a ton of Daemons of Slaanesh. They are really fun to play. When that army pops off and does what it is supposed to do, it can make you feel invincible. It doesn't always happen, because they can be shot up like swiss cheese. But the Keeper, Daemon Prince, and other Slaaneshy tricks are a real good time.
I'd pry go with the Changer of Ways... though Grandpapa Nurgle has a morbid fascination.
Always papa Nurgle , Nurgle is love Nurgle is life remember this
I know im tzeentch because my choices on what to play is always shifting
Khorne is the best, because he's who channels Sauron, Diablo, and the Cyberdemon the most to me
Iron Warriors player here, so I'm Chaos Undivided.
Although... I've got a LOT of Slaanesh daemons thanks to a friend starting the army then going "Eh, here." basically XD
I love my Tzeentch Demons. Got two Killer Chickens of Doom named Bwak Bwak (who is magnetized if I want to run Kairos) and BaGawk. My army is an eyesore of color, but in a good way...according to one of my friends/opponents (a Nurgle player)
I choose them all, though papa nurgle does have a special place in my rotten bloated heart
I will give you the ability to find out if anyone you want hates you if you start to like me more
Khorne and slaanesh have been a little left behind in the past years ; hope they get an update soon. Especially on their legionnaires. Noise marines anyone ?
It'll happen eventually.
Though even if they just gave us a plastic upgrade sprue like the imperial guard just got it'd be a start.
i used to be all in on khorne, but i have since grown to actually kind of dislike the pure "angry demon" look and much more appreciate the wierdness of slaanesh and tzeentch (im a fan of nurgle in lore but i just dont like the bloated rotted look of his minis)
i like a more "chaos undivided" army though, i really dont like the different chaos legions being split off into their own codicies and wish they were done like the standard SM, where its 1 big codex for the lot of them and smaller supliments for the more specific god armies, like atm there is literally no point at all in doing a nurgle CSM army because you get absolutly nothing that DG dont so all the other nurgle legions are completly shafted
i like me a combinations of the servents of chaos, chaos is supposed to be exactly that, chaotic, why would they stick to neat regiments and armies, "single faction" armies make no sense for chaos, let me bring noise marines next to lords of change, its chaos for chaos' sake
Having Death Guard and World Eaters and Fallen (you owe us after that travesty of a White Dwarf!) as supplementary codexes to the CSM codex would also sell more Codexes. That’s what GW is into, isn’t it?
The gods fight more amongst themselves than against mortals.
That's why mono-God armies make more sense
@@MarkusJackDijkgraaf CSM have more "undivided" chapters then monogod ones, a LOT more
undivided armies and forces are MUCH more common in lore (and tend to be stronger as well) then monogod ones
the chaos gods fight each other a LOT yes, but they also work together a LOT as well (arguably more then they fight each other)
the biggest threat to the imperium out of the chaos armies is the black legion, the black legion worships chaos undivided (as do the word bearers who are the MOST chaos worshiping of the chaos worshiping factions)
and there are plenty of monogod chapters that ARENT the big 4
for example the "scourged" are a tzeentch chapter that isnt kSons/rubric, meaning the only way to play them is as standard CSM but you lose a bunch of tzeentch units available to the ksons because of their codex being seperated the way it is
monogod armies make sense
but doing monogod armies to the detriment of undivided armies, or not even ALLOWING undivided armies, makes NO sense at all
things like Dgaurd, Ksons and emps children should 100% be suplements to a larger CSM codex and not their own seperate ones
@@gregsmw In my view, because of the timeless nature of the warp, conflict between the gods is a lot more common than cooperation.
The CSM are more of an anomaly in this, because the remnants of their humanity lends itself to cooperation (in case of BL). Chaos undivided in case of WB is it's own thing - a kind of utopic view on their gods.
But that shouldn't deter anyone from building their armies as they like - I am strongly against using lore reasons to hamper the fun of a player. And as you have said, the gods can and do work together.
@@gregsmw The four Cult Legions should absolutely be their own separate codices.
It's base CSM that is being handled wrong. A base CSM army should, for example, be able to take limited amounts of Cult units again. But there absolutely should be things that are locked behind a "you must commit to this Legion" wall, such as the Scarab Occult for the TSons or the Plaguecrawler for the DGuard.
If you want to run a Nurgle-themed CSM army, either run CSM and ally in DGuard, or run DGuard and ally in CSM depending on the proportion of Nurgle you want.
If Blood Angels are different enough from basic Space Marines to have their own codex, the Cult Legions are absolutely different enough from basic CSM to have theirs.
Death Guard player here but I already came to terms with when there's a full World Eaters release I'm making it rain (blood) and might even buy the supplemental rules that'll come out within a month of the codex release.
Slowly going chaos undivided. Wouldn't mind some World Eaters or Emperor's Children alongside my Thousand Sons. Nurgle can go back to hiding behind his metaphorical couch from the Emperor.
Got a DG and TS army, hoping for codex WE or EC!
You should do a tier list of the undivided CSM legions.

Blood for the blood god… I guess….Sadge I hope Khorne Daemons get better . Mono-Khorne is arguably the WORST army in the game rn (yes worse than Tau!)
I play mono khorne they aren't that bad. I beat top tier armies regularly. The real problem is we have bad matchups and those bad match ups are BAD (fall back and shoot, good overwatch, extremely fast units, mass anti horde)
Wait so is mono khorne just Khornate daemons or is it Khornate daemons with world eaters/CSM?
Just Daemons of Khorne
@jacob gale it feels a lifetime since I've seen that glorious face
You know I would just like to call attention to the fact that the chaos gods are also the gods of the good aspects of their various domains. Khorne is also the god of the righteous defending their home from invasion, nergal is also the god of rejuvenation and fertility Etc
I have only ever considered Khorne and only ever will consider Khorne. Even if I dont like the Bloodletter models, that won't stop me. My current plan is to use Bladegeist Revenants from AoS and Khorne them up a bit, paint the masks bronze, ect.
