Good, good, GOOD. These measures are crucial, if drastic - we pay a high long-term price for our plastic. But we can improve our condition(s) if we're willing to act rationally.

And it was environmentalists who pushed plastics to begin with. I grew up in a time when they used to scream “save the trees…save the planet….use plastic bags instead of paper bags” and “save the planet…making glass is harmful for the planet…switch to plastic instead” and then stores everywhere had to start using plastic bags and sodas in the stores and vending machines had to have plastic bottles….and then suddenly plastic was everywhere replacing everything that was once made out of something else. Now those same “environmentalists” are screaming about plastic….when they created this scenario. And just like before….whatever is going to replace this stuff will end up being even worse for the planet and more dangerous to our health….and then in 30 to 40 years they will be screaming about it as well.

I’m sure the new products made to replace these will be even more dangerous to health and we will find that out in 20 to 30 years.

In a free society people should be able to chose products they want.
