  • This fly accounts for so many fish it's scary. Although very basic in its makeup, the overall look and profile mean it's hard for any trout or grayling to resist!

This is one of my go to nymphs when fishing either under an indicator or an Elk Hair Caddis on the rivers. It rarely fails me. When people ask me what I'm catching on I just refer to it as the Steve Cullen Nymph.

I recently tied this and got my pb on it so tied it in a few diffirent colours and went out and got some heavier beads as well.

What an awesome technique for the collar. Going to tie up some of these and apply the cloak to many other patterns

This is a killer fly, I use a #18 baetis nymph or a scud beneth this , great combo.

A nice new technique of cloaking I haven't seen before. I will now tie a few up to tempt those elusive browns on the Waioeka River down-under in NZ. Thanks Steve.

I've never seen the cloaked style before, nice! Subbed cause of this one, looking forward to more inspiration.

Love "guide flies" and love the cloak technique. Will incorporate that on others too. Earned a sub A+++

I had to figure it out, I thought you were saying ‘squiddle’. I’ve been using peacock flash dubbing instead of feathers lately.

Would you post the recipe. Is that squirrel dubbing you mixed? That request seems funny, but I can't get my sound to work. Thanks
