This is the tripod that I've been using now for some time. I love it, and recently, Manbily have brought out their new ball mount and clamp. So here it is for you to see. They are also making the same tripod, but with an ARCA rail mount, so all you AR15 and FX Impact users, may want to check that out too.

Mine came today all good. The after sales service from them is brilliant. I told them that averi had not delivered it and they got back to me within an hour.

I’m glad you’re happy with the tripod, I do get regular emails from the manbily office, and they’re already in the process of a colour change of the kit.
They have sent me a photo of a new colour last week, but I’ve kind of rejected it, as it’s still a bit glossy and an odd shade of 🤷🏼♂️🤷🏼♂️🤷🏼♂️
Well I don’t know really 🤔
I’ve sent them a picture of my bike that is Matt black, sort of Stealth fighter black, so I think their paint team are now on the job 👍👍

To be perfectly honest David the colour does not matter, abroad they wear blazing orange from head to toe and still have a lot of succes
I personally am not bothered about its colour I'm sure I will have as much success in the roe rut as anyone else.
But I have practised with the rifle every day for 46 years 8 months 3 days it said on my retirement card. Lol
Waiting for my long service civil servant medal coming lol. Got the engraved watch already though. 😆

I've just received mine today after watching your video, I thought it was worth a "punt".
I was not disappointed! The quality is absolutely fantastic, yes the colour is a bit naf but that can be fixed and would it really matter when foxing at night like I do?
I'm so pleased I didn't buy one of the other expensive alternatives, many thanks for bringing this to my attention.

Nice review David, I bought the clamp after you recommended it in a previous video. Very pleased with it quality and function, I used the linked seller, arrived in about 8 days. Hope you are recovering well and getting back on your feet.

I think the tripod and clamp are great and value for money. The clamp is miles better than the clamp on my Rekon 👍

Hi David, thanks for your review, I got mine today but was disappointed that the tripod won’t go in the bag with the clamp fitted. I’ve emailed Manbily and they said they would make a separate bag for the clamp. I think they would be better just supplying a longer bag for the complete set up.

Have you tried it with the end extension open?
To be brutally honest, mine never goes in the bag now it’s set up with the new ball head, back of the car and ready to go.

I think this new brand have got it right with the clamp, they just need to get a more subtle colour scheme

Hi David, is there any reason shooters seem to prefer a ball head as opposed to a pan and tilt? I would have thought the pan and tilt would prevent any cant of the rifle but still alllow movement in the required axes. I will admit to using a pan and tilt as I already had one on a Manfrotto (good quality) video tripod.

With that ball head you can drop the rifle in the vertical position if needed.
@@predatorprotectionuk Hi David, thanks for the quick reply. The pan and tilt allows you to do both movements you need to aim the gun but it doesn't allow the gun to flop over to the side when you loosen the ball clamp, so I thought it is preferable to the ball head. Hope that makes sense.
@@predatorprotectionuk Forgot to mention I got a Manbily U3 clamp based on your recommendation. What a great bit of kit. By the way I've got PCP as well as the ProSport.
@peterballemy9929 flopping over to the side will put the scope into standby, so that’s a good thing 👍

It's absolutely fantastic.

I've had the Rekon tripod for 3 years, love it, but good god it's way way to expensive & virtually the same. I'd go as far as saying they are from the same factory.
@stevenlord782 I’ve just spent a couple of hours modifying my clamp to now fit into the ARCA picatinny QR mount.
I’ve explained why in the video that’s just gone out now.
I’ve done it and it works great

Hello chap, the Manbily website is predominantly for photography and video stuff. They are now trying to separate the themes up and have a dedicated site for the likes of us.

I’ve just had an email from my contact at Manbily, she has seen your comment and has told me that they will be making the shorter centre stem as well. I’ve suggested it’s included in the kit like the Rekon, and then you can decide which one you want to use.

The biggest con of having a clamp is that it’s very easy to walk away from your setup, increasing the risk of tipping it over (something I’ve seen a lot on YT).
If you’ve set the tripod up properly and tightened all the adjustments up, how can it possibly fall over ?
The moral of the story is this.
Don’t walk away from your rifle !

I saw a video of a guy that put the legs too close together, a video of a guy that put the tripod on muddy (unstable) ground and I saw a video of a guy just bumping into it.
@MightyRude well it’s them you need to direct you comments about the tripod and clamp being unreliable.
It’s all down to the end user and not the product.
They are probably the sort of drivers that don’t put the handbrake on, when parked on a flat road , coz it ain’t gonna roll away is it 🤷🏼♂️🤣

I’ve seen multiple videos on CZcams of people walking away from a firearm that’s clamped on a tripod, but I haven’t seen anyone admitting they leave their firearms unattended in the CZcams comments yet.
