MSF BRC day 1 using FINE-C for motorcycle start up

- On the first day of the MSF we learned to start the motorcycle using the acronym FINE-C Fuel- Ignition-Neutral-Engine switch -Clutch/Choke. This was a great experience hopefully this will help beginners

Do they provide any gear or do you need all gear before hand? I don’t wanna buy anything till after. Kinda taking the course to feel out this itch I’m getting as well
@@jasonkirkbride3783 They provide all the gear which was just a helmet and gloves. You also need to wear a love sleeve shirt and pants with long socks.
Just did this over the weekend, passed and got my license today! Totally worth it.

So glad I took this course. I rode bikes back when I was a kid, and this course was a much needed refresher
If you’ve never been on a motorcycle before, it’s a great course. Even in their 101 course, you get to spend most of the time (2 hours) riding and learning. Is it basic? Yes. Is it boring for new riders, heck no. When people leave that 101 course, they leave knowing a lot more and have some real experience under their belt than when they first walked in 2 hours earlier. This was perfect for me, zero knowledge/experience. I recommend it to anyone new to motorcycles interested in riding.

I honestly need help riding and crap (bc the clutch) like I never trusted myself to ride bikes or dirt bikes with em and would love to take a course or something like this to learn riding better all bc ik I ain’t good
Where are you at this is a Pennsylvania these classes are offered for free if you give me a message maybe I can send you in the right direction
@@qdiddyz-moto - That’s great! They’re not free in Brooklyn. I’m paying $500 for the MSF course, but that’s ok, money well spent thus far. Free would have been better though.
I know the Harley Davidson dealerships offer the Harley ridership Academy and I think it’s free
Yeah I recommend the msf course to everyone interested in motorcycle riding they teach you a lot of important things

We are instructors and we take an advanced class each new year, and we always learn something

Good luck and enjoy!!! When it is time to evaluate don’t overthink and ride extra slow the slower you ride the more difficult it is to control

It’s an uneasy but great feeling
Rode my bike for a month before I took the test and killed it. If you’re not familiar with bikes at all a msf is definitely a good way to learn

Do you need to bring in your own bike?
Not I Pennsylvania most other states provide motorcycles too. There are some classes you “can” bring your own bike

What motorcycles are the suzuki’s they use in the course
In Pennsylvania use the TU250x and the GZ250

I am an instructor in Pennsylvania we offer all safety classes from beginner to advanced for free to residents
@@evanverrill4989 If you can’t pass this course -you shouldn’t be riding. It’s also GOOD that they require this. Who cares if you’ve got to pay? Helps save people. Great baseline.

@@evanverrill4989 never said you weren’t a safe rider if you didn’t take it. I only said if you took it and couldn’t even PASS then you aren’t a good rider and shouldn’t be out on the road endangering yourself and others.
I heard about the choke what is that mean in the motorcycle and can someone explain what is the fine see
The choke is only used on carbureted motorcycles. What it does is it primes the carburetor so that fuel gets to the cylinder head once the spark hits it it’ll start the motorcycle up once the motorcycle gets warm then you need to turn the choke off. It’s old technology Fuel ignition neutral engine car switch choke or clutch
