Sam Poser, Williams Trading analyst, joins 'Squawk on the Street' to discuss Nike after the shoe brand company tumbled on weak guidance in their latest earnings report.
Bullish or bearish, AI stocks will still dominate 2024, even beyond. Why I prefer NVIDIA is that they are better placed to maintain long-term growth potential, and provide a platform for other AI companies. I know someone who has made more than 200% from NVIDIA. I'll also take these other recommendations you made.
I agree, just because the market presents opportunities doesn't mean we should rush in headfirst. For this reason, we should look for appropriate market analysis or guidance or seek advice from certified market strategists.
@@JanieBlair21 No doubt, having the right plan is invaluable, my portfolio is well-matched for every season of the market and recently hit a 100% rise from early last year. I and my CFP are working on a 7 figure ballpark goal, tho this could take till Q3 2024.

Another company's fundamentals deteriorating after the company hires a CEO without any passion for the product. In this case, a ceo who spent 20 years at Bain and never produced a product in his life.
It totally shows as their designs have gotten blander and can’t really tell it’s a Nike product anymore. Seems like they just wanted to sit on the rep and watch the money flow in. You would think by now, MBAs/C-suite would have learned that a product company is defined by their products and not some financial strategy. It might be a buying moment as this is a solvable problem.
People cannot afford to buy $225 Jordans anymore. Also many of the target demographic figured out that they can just walk into the stores and steal them without any consequences. Nike has a loss prevention issue.
Shareholder and long time Nike fan/sneakerhead - as a customer, current Nike offering is straight up uninteresting. I haven’t bought much Nike stuff in the last 2-3 years because their designs got way too bland (why so much love for solid colors). I thought it was just me but the revenues numbers very much suggest otherwise. This is a very solvable problem. Nike had their golden age in the 90s/2000s. Their tennis designs during the Federer era were amazing. It’s not like they need to invite new tech like AI or 2nm or something. Design stuff that that sets Nike apart of everyone else and that you can tell from a distance that it’s a Nike product.
Every big company has competition that doesn’t mean leader company will die. Apple phones has competition from samsung and other brands had apple died?? No
All these so called analysts cant see the obvious that Nike is boring and other brands are innovating, new. balance, asics, hoka etc... Nike is a staple but overvalued for what they are. Their new products are ugly they need to hire new designers and not more athletes.
I'll not buy this shoes anymore. just soso disgusting~~ Nike is over~ and they’re just struggling to follow up asics' or new balance strategy and that's so ashamed~
I am an avid golfer , and i also love wearing tennis shoes for leisure. I have spent countless thousands on Nike shoes and golfwear, including 90.00 golf shirts, golf pants , you name it. as soon as Nike endorsed Coilin K. I gave all of my Nike products to goodwill. I now spend thosuands of dollars on Adidas......
Bad karma getting rid of Kyrie Irving for gun toting, suspension prone, Ja Morant, especially when Kyrie had the best selling shoe line outside of MJ in history. What sense does it make to get rid of Kyrie but keep Colin Kaepernick signed? Nike made its bed so they gotta lay in it. On that note, congratulations Kyrie Irving on becoming Chief Creative Officer of Anta Footwear, a Chinese, global company. Kyrie actually wrote the terms of his own contract, something Nike would never allow any baller to do.

I think NIKE is still a good company in the long term. Could be a good opportunity to buy
This is a great opportunity to buy the dip

Why didn’t people see this coming Already? The competition with fancy shoes gotten ahead of them
Fancy shoes? I hope you don't mean Hoka and on cloud. They arent fancy. Nor will they last. They're just a fad. I can't imagine a world without nike
Nike getting their lunch eating by competition. Hoka, on cloud and new balance own Nike now.
Those are fads right now. They won't last
No they don’t. They’re just a fad/trend. Same thing used to be said about Reebok. Wonder where they are today…
is there a possibility that if you win a lot of money, your account will be closed? nice video continue like that !!!
LOL @ Hoka taking market share 10 years from now we'll forget that brand even existed
Exactly! All those brands come and go
Every big company has competition that doesn’t mean leader company will die. Apple phones has competition from samsung and other brands had apple died?? No
Quality, quality, quality. Nike's quality controls and materials have fallen so much over the years, THAT's why it's tanking.
Those 8 year olds making their shoes need to do abetter job, maybe conform to OSHA standards.
Spot on! The brand could be the next Reebok
Nike makes shoes that cost $10 to make for $200+ Other than their running shoes they make horribly cheap shoes. People are finally catching on.
Maximums BTC price is soon!
