I used hardner and growth. 2 bucks at family dollar. Not dollar general. One week later i had some smile lines. Two weeks and my nails looked so good. Keep layers of top coat on them. Nip at that instead of nails and keep an emery board on you at all times. And use cuticle oil. I paid 6 at sallys for the almond.

I used to bite my nails until I was sixteen and just decided that I want to stop. Idk how I did it tbh, probably the first and only time in my life that I managed to do something just by sheer will. I grew them out and realized that I naturally had a really pretty shape to them and I got so excited because I had never seen my nails long before :)

As a biter, I've never tried to bite acrylics. I think there's something about the real nail that makes them irritating. For some people, the nails feel like they shouldn't be there, especially once they get over a certain length. They are also weak, so catch easily & as soon as you have a ragged edge, you nibble them again. People say to prevent this by having a file with you, but you can't have one on you all the time, hence the nibbling.

I wish I could pass my nail biting recovery story to everyone that struggles with it! I truly have NO IDEA what happened, but after nearly 35 years of nail biting, I woke up one day (about 4 months before covid hit) and never had the urge again.
It’s the weirdest thing and it still baffles everyone that knows me/my habit... I wish I knew what had happened, so I could pass it on to every person that is trying to quit. 😔❤️

I bit my nails for years then suddenly stopped when I was 30. Had beautiful nails for years. The. I lost a baby at 42 and have bitten my nails since. I want to stop like I did before because I liked having nice nails but the compulsion really is strong. I hope BIAB will help me

@@mogznwaz I am so sorry to hear about your loss!!
It’s definitely not hard to understand why a nervous/compulsive/self-soothing habit like nail biting, would return after suffering such an emotionally difficult and heartbreaking tragedy like that!
I genuinely hope you were/are able to make peace with the pain, find solace and cope with everything. 🥺💔
As for the nails…I find it interesting you had the same thing happen at a similar age…
I wonder if there’s some type of weird correlation with that happening, when we hit our 30’s, since the timeframe coincides with one of the final, significant, hormonal changes that women will have in their life…(hmm🤔).
I wish I knew how to help you quit again-and I hope you’re able to have beautiful, natural nails once more!💕
(Ps. Wait…are you talking about *”brew in a bag”* …or a different BIAB?? 😆).

I really want my nails done, I painted them but they look okay but they are different lengths because my first and middle finger nails on both hands take a long time to get long and my other nails get long super fast.

I'm not a nail biter, I have OCD and one of my manifestations is I cut my nails down to the nub, so it looks similar for sure. I'm thinking I might want to get nail extensions of some sort done to see if it will encourage me to leave them alone, because I don't just damage the nails but the skin too.

It took me getting a staph infection called paronychia recently to make me realize that it's time to quit my biting habit that has been going on for years. It's not that I didn't know the risks beforehand (I would never bite them in public), but I think for the longest time, it was my very destructive stress/anxiety outlet. For those of you that also struggle, I would recommend turning to stress balls, crunchy/chiclets gum, and like this video, forcing yourself not to ruin your beautifully restored nails
