Beautiful play of this tune. My mistake in playing Tones is that I am always too conscious of what Chick played. Glenn, instead, just plays what he's hearing, so something fresh is made. A valuable lesson for pianists.
I had some piano lessons with Glenn via Zoom and can say unequivocally that he has a very finely tuned ear for jazz harmony and voicings as good as it gets.
Exactly why I'm so enthralled by this rendition!;
It's a tough song for sure;but handled so nicely; without strain..and(as you implied) it's not an imitation of Chick's version.Keep going;if you are still inclined to tackle this monster of a tune!!👍🐲
