I'm a 66 yr old, straight white male, I drive in my car listening to her all day. She doesn't just write/sing break up songs.

3 of her back-up vocalist have been with her since her Red era (2012) and 1 since her Reputation era (2017) They’re called The Starlights 🫶🏼

Hey I am a 53 yr old white straight guy and I am an OG fan from the beginning. You don't have to relate to the break up songs to listen to it. She had the same band since the beginning and her backup singers are with her since 2012.

Yes, that's the band that tours with her. Her guitarist, Paul Sidoti, has been with her since 2008.

This song is not from Phil Collins, it was already a cover. Her vocals are just top notch, despite what haters and ignorant people say, thinking singing high notes is the only criteria.

If you ever want to see everyone that was there, just attend her Eras Tour. They've been with her for over a decade now. Some from the very beginning. It's contributed to how "tight" and effortless her live performances seem to be. None of it is easy. They just make it look that way. Thanks for the video reaction. You're certainly welcome to do more. We'll be here for it if you do. Cheers.

Nice job overall. Musicians are her regulars; backup singers also. Some of her people started with her 17 years ago; some departed as she left country for pop (ie, her violinist, lead/slide guitartist); original drummer retired after her third album's tour. Singers were assembled during Red Tour, think all of them are the same since her 2015 tour of 1989 album. Before that, she had her violinist (Caitlin Evanson) and guitarist (Paul Sidoti) and one additional vocalist ( Liz ??). Most of them play multiple instruments; when she started (at 16) Taylor was a half decade younger than most of her band. They are studio musicians when not touring. This doesn't show it in this song, but she plays guitar (6 string, 12 string, electric); ukulele; 6 string banjo; piano. Some of her best performances are acoustic, her voice and her instrument.
She takes care of the band, knows their kids. In Santa Clara last year, she gave everyone traveling on the tour with her (including truck drivers, merchandise sellers, and food vendors that travel with her) a bonus : $100K for each of the truck drivers, estimated $55M out of her pocket in total, for their hard work making her tour a success. Donated to food banks in every city. She gets a lot of bad press from trolls. Growing up she was too pretty, too thin, too talented, too rich, too many celebrity boyfriends (like the commenters never actually dated!). A lot of it is also embedded in politics.

The rest of her set list from this performance was equally as amazing if you want to react to more of it!
    “London Boy”
    (live debut)
    “Lover”
    “The Archer”
    “Holy Ground”
    (on piano)
    “You Need to Calm Down”

Do you say the same for every female artist that because you are a straight man you can’t listen to their songs or relate?
    Just asking out of curosity

It’s a demographic not a misogynistic thing. I’m sure you can appreciate the movie saving private Ryan, but you probably wouldn’t repeatedly watch it by yourself? That’s how I feel about her music, I get it but it doesn’t resonate or relate but I appreciate it. Hope that makes sense.

I don’t agree with you but respect your opinion, thanks for your explanation althought I suggest you to give Folklore a chance I think that album is for everyone, at end of the day we all are humans and in there you will find a lot of human emotions if you want to of course
