Roger goes off in this video discussing how to tell if you're going to have bad plumbers in the future or if "plumbers" will even be around! Check this out because it will effect your life in the near future.

    I’m a plumber in California. Our licensing is so easy it is ridiculous. All you need is 4 years experience and be able to pass a multiple choice trade and law exam. It has led to so many poorly trained and operated plumbing outfits and all other construction trades as well. I wish our state was more like yours and I hope you guys will be able to keep it that way. Good luck sir.

      @@RogerWakefield Yes, i had the same problem last summer trying to find a dependable repairman when i replaced my AC and air handler. I found a dependable guy to replace it and forgot he did plumbing to, i called him and he handled business like a pro. These other clowns that accept the job then no call no show need to be put out of business asap.

      What we have to do is be at the Sunset Advisory Commission meeting in Austin on December 12th. That is one of the things all plumbers in Texas need to do. Let your voice be heard.

    Hi I am a plumber in NYC looking to relocate to the Dallas area is Texas I am not licensed in my city but do have 15 years of experience would this help me at all obtaining my license in the state of Texas

    • @RogerWakefield
      @RogerWakefield  Před 5 lety

      Yes. There are forms on the TSBPE website that your NYC employers can fill out to get you credit. You should contact the TSBPE and find out all of your choices. Do you do residential or commercial? Service or new construction? I’m in the Dallas area.

      The Expert Plumber hi thank you for your response I did not know you responded until now. I have done all of the above I have done everything from shower body repairs to 3 year long new construction projects from the ground 30 stories up. I like new construction but I really enjoy the residential service I enjoy the customer interaction and seeing something different everyday. I love the troubleshooting aspect of the trade sometimes seeing things that you have never seen before and having to figure it out. Thank you for the response. I am making a trip to the Dallas area in a few weeks and intend to stop by the state board of licensing to get all the information I possibly can. Thank you agin for the information because I really want to leave nyc

      Ass ho that's about what happened. It isn't about TDLR though, I think they are a great agency for licensing. I think TSBPE is a better agency for testing. That is where I see the value.
