Congratulations Kevin and Mook on your engagement. Wishing you both all the happiness in the world. 👍😁🥂
Totally! Have you seen Mook's ring?

Congrats on getting engaged! So happy for you guys!!!
I painted in an Olds dealership from 1969-1989. I worked on hundreds of those. That color was nearly impossible to match, and one panel would not fade at a different rate than an adjacent panel unless it had been refinished. Watching this brings back a lot of memories.
I thought $7k seemed like a bit much for this one, but honestly it was worth a bit extra just to get to work on it in a dry garage and pressure wash it off in a car port lol. Not having to roll around in mud, gravel, or 4 feet high grass is nice and you’d spend a lot of coins at the car wash and get a worse job done without the pressure washer so that was very helpful too. I don’t really know anything about these particular cars but I really like the look they have, they’re unique
For anybody who is confused …. This is the second 1972 gold colors Cutlass he has resurrected. Some guys have all the luck!!!
I was gonna say when i saw the thumbnail...reupload? lol

Yeah they had like 5 or more uploads of that one they gave to Kevin's dad.
I was confused by that at first haha
I am NOT a GM guy but these Cutlasses you're finding are BEAUTIFUL!
Yes they are
me too. absolutely beautiful.
i AM a GM guy and i also LOVE these cutlasses
I'm not a GM guy either but yup that's a nice car
Nothing like a GM muscle car 😏😏
How are you lucky enough to not only find one but 2 beautiful time capsules? And congratulations to Kevin and mook
its not luck if your willing to pay what the owner wants you can find all kinds of old cars
Congratulations Kevin and Mook on your engagement. Wishing you all the very best for the future and many fun exciting memories. Great work and cheers for taking us along take care
Before I even watch, congratulations to you and Mook! You guys were meant for each other with amazing chemistry. Now I’ll go and enjoy the video!!
Congrats on the engagement, you two make a great couple, wish you both nothing but happiness. Keep the great content coming 👍🇺🇸⚜️🔥🔥🔥
The sound of you going around the car pushing on the vinyl top... sends shivers down my spine. Similar situation on our 70 LeMans... just don't touch it pretend you don't know about it!
My hometown is 290 people. I live in a big city now, but it makes my small town heart happy that you’re keeping it local with your vendors.
Congrats on the engagement , I hope you guys have a long life together filled with laughs and love
Heck, I work at a tire shop and love it when I change shredded, ancient tires because I know it’s going towards somebody’s prospect that’s about to start rollin! Love you guys, still subbed! Coming from Northern Arizona
Thats a fair point!!
I had the sedan version of this as the first car I bought for myself. It was 1993 and the car was owned by my the elderly neighbor lady. It still had polyester tires on it but it was otherwise absolutely flawless, inside and out. You could comfortably seat six with the bench seats. Those bench seats were a pretty comfortable place to sleep too. I drove that car quite a lot over the next year or so and ended up selling it for almost nothing because I was young and clueless. The engine was absolutely ridiculous. I think it was a 455 big block Rocket. It was so easy to wrench on. Effortless burnouts. I tried to find the top end a few times on the highway but basically chickened out because I was going well over 100 in a pretty old car with 4 wheel drum brakes that liked to overheat. Good times.
That is the king of all barn finds, that door closing is money! 🤤🤤🤤🤤🤤
Congrats kids! You two mesh together perfectly. The future is very, very bright.
Yes, a match made in heaven!! Absoutely love these two.....
@@paulhyde1834 They're so natural I thought for a while they were already together-together, and if I was thinking that subconsciously then I know they're a perfect couple that will be together for the next century at least.
Congratulations on the proposal, y’all are awesome🙌🏻.

I just read his shirt for the first time and I absolutely love it.
"Happiness is having ONE WOMAN and MANY CARS."
In the late 80s I picked up a 1971 Olds. Cutlass S that was white with black interior, black vinyl top, needing lots of love and attention. The car just gets under your skin, and knuckles at times, but loved being back on the roads. After rebuilding the engine the Cutlass knew he was back in the game, embarrassing Z-28 drivers, and staying on the bumper of Mustang GTs of the day. The faster, and more cleaned up he became the more weirder other drivers were around him. The car got hit 3 times by other drivers, the last taking him completely off the road again. I miss that car even today. What I got for $500 kept me mobile for 6+ years and was decent to me. Enjoy the car guys.
Whooohooo, love the Digs and Mook combo revivals, and a big congratulations with your engagement. You two are a force to be reckoned. Good luck and look forward to Part II.
Been watching yall for years. Keep it up loving the vids and how far yall have come
I love these old Cutlasses! Thanks for saving yet another one!
Congratulations to you both on your engagement. Mook you will have to get Kevin to give you the Cutlass as part of your engagement or wedding gift, looking forward to seeing part 2, keep up the great work.
Love it guys! That car is in good condition considering how long it has been sitting.
Looking forward to the video series on the revival.
ha, I already started missing new content.
Thank you for doing so much, bring young people back to cars, encourage average people to tackle new tasks with explaining so many things and details.
You guys are absolutely great, authentic, it always feels like being with friends, working on stuff.
And then finally, the camera work is just right. little shaky but good quality, feels also right for the topic.
even with over 860.000 subscribers it feels small and realistic and fun, video length is spot on, it never gets boring.
Thumbs up, even if I have absolutely ZERO connection to these cars, boats and machines here in germany I enjoy every video.
and uuuh internetetional shipping
Hey I had one of these in the late 80s! Gold '72 Cutlass. Loved that car! Didn't have the louvers or vinyl, and the back end looked a little different. Someone did tell me once it had a '73 trunk and bumper. It has the 350 Rocket and there was enough room in the engine bay for you, me, a six pack and a pizza to work on it. The gold didn't look quite like this, but it had been a street parked New Bedford car so sun and salt air, and salted streets in the winter. I really loved that car.
That old man was packing some heat! He was printing pretty good. God Bless Texas!
Congratulations on the engagement y’all . I’m so happy for y’all . Wish y’all the best . I’m actually getting married this weekend. A year in the making . Love the vids bro keep up the killer content Mook and Kevin .
Congratulations Kevin & Mook, Wishing You Both Many Successful Years To Come!! I’m Loving That ‘72 Olds, Like The One You Gave Your Father, She’s A Beauty, Looking Forward To Seeing What’s Next Good Sir..
Congrats on your engagement, many wishes to you. Finding that special one God created just for you is pure bliss. In 1978 we bought a 1974 Cutlass, pumpkin color with a 260 v-8 automatic hardtop. Basic model, we referred to it as the old gutless. Head gasket failed in 1988, tore it down in the garage and fixed it ran when we got rid of it 10 years later in 1998. We drove that car for about 150,000 miles, loved it.
It warms my heart to see a vintage Oldsmobile being brought back to life. The gold color of this 1972 Oldsmobile Cutlass made me think of the 1969 Oldsmobile Vista Cruiser from "That '70s Show." I honestly hope that the Vista Cruiser has just as much of a prominence in the sequel "That '90s Show."
Congrats on getting engaged!! This olds looks pretty nice for the age! And nice you and mook came prepared! So cool what you are doing with the new merch!!
Wish you all the best Mook & Kevin, waitin to see you profit to your new family in the future. Wedding bolts and nuts as well as ring bells are waitin!
After not taking care of his first 2 cars and them not lasting long, something clicked with my brother when he bought a mint 1972 Cutlass supreme. The car had just over 100 thousand miles when he got it. He kept that car for 2 decades and had over 300 thousand miles on it without rebuilding the transmission or engine. Still looked and ran mint as well. One of the many memories of my brother.
The wife and I enjoyed this build. She also loved your t shirt about happiness is one woman and many cars. She found one like it for me. Funny, I like it too.
I've been watching you and Mook having various adventures since you were little more than kids - especially to me, since I'm old. LOL I'm so happy to learn of your engagement, and wish you both a long happy life together, filled with critters and cars.
I spent a couple of years in Tyler working in the East Texas and Louisiana oilfields. We had our camp at Lake Palestine. I took my wife up there to visit because I loved the country up there. Be safe on your travel back to your home base. Good to see you both again.
No one asked..

My mother had a 1972 Cutlas Supreme and this "will it run" reminds me of the good old days. I was a child but still remember that car. Thanks for bringing this old car back to life and congrats on your engagement Kevin and Mook! 😅🤣😂😁
I hope you guys will have a great life together and I was waiting for this moment ever since Mook was first introduced on this show!!! Also, love the cutlass
Congratulations on your engagement! It would be cool to have a picture or video of the two Cutlasses together!!!
Love the color on this cutlass especially what you see on the side of the door on the inside @Junkyard Digs
I first started watching you two with the storage box cutlass and since then i've just fallen in love with what you guys do its just amazing thank you for all of this
Congratulations you two all the way from New Zealand. You guys fit so well together. All the very best for the future. Always look forward to new vids!
Love your video brother! But you should definitely use 2 stroke oil on first start up. Helps the valve train.
He didn't even check the oil before he cranked it 🤣🤣 cranked it then checked the oil genius mechanic, and this guy used to work on helicopters 🤣🤣🤣
@@BariLopesh yeah I know right he’s such a failure non of his vehicles ever work and run fine……see how ignorant that’s sounds? That’s you my guy

Congrats on y'alls engagement ❤️
As to the paint on the Cutlass. Buick had a similar color known as "Antique Gold." I had a '72 LeSabre in that color and it had similar fading and hue changes from panel to panel due to how the sun hit it where it was stored.
Nice find guys!!! And CONGRATS on your engagement!!! 🥰
I legit thought this was the same car but like a lost supercut. Congratulations to you both! This doesn't mean you get to drive the Booger truck!
You mean Booger?

Kevin I own my grandmothers 1971 (year I was born) Olds Cutlass 442 driven only 65K until 1981 when she bought a Cadillac of which my brother has that. This 442 is in pretty good shape considering we live near Rockford IL and being a Midwester you know how the roads are here
Nice find! Now comes the fun mechanic stuff. Good luck! Looking forward to the next episode. Thank you for the great video!
I had a 70 Supreme convertible, loved it. It handled well but was a nice soft ride. I had front discs, I recommend it. I think this was considered kind of the "gentleman's muscle car" it had more creature comforts than the comparable Chevrolets and Pontiacs. That Rochester 2-barrel was a great carb, the secondary is pretty big and you can tell when it opens up. You didn't overpay for that car, the price is pretty fair for you actually. If your dad is willing, he can repair the roof panels and I'd put another vinyl top on it so you don't have to do a perfect finish on the metal. It's going to stay dry from now on anyway. Congratulations on your business and channel and life, you've worked hard for it!
Nice to the old girl back on the road. Well done on getting it running. What a lovely car. They don't make them like that anymore. Good luck with the rest of it. Paddy from Belfast Ireland.
Amazing video! This is such an inspiration to me as I have a 1972 Cutlass S that has been sitting for 20 years that I am about to start working on. Thanks for giving me some hope for my own project!
Congrats on the engagement! I'm liking the color on the Olds...looking forward to seeing it after paint correction and polishing. 👍
I love these cars! For me, it's the look and sound.
Congratulations you 2 on the engagement. You guys are great for each other and will go far.
Congratulations guys so pleased for you both .
I do like the look of the Olds Cutlass .
Dude! 2 of my favorite people on all of CZcams do a revival not 20 miles from my house and I don't even get to meet them! It's cool that it's a revival of a car that's been in East Texas it's whole life
I felt the same way when they said where they were 😂
@@smuredneck I know their way too busy to be bothered but it would've been cool run into them knowing I'll never end up in their neck of the woods
Wishing you and Mook all the happiness I've had for the last 35 years! When it's right it's right. Those will be over made some great v8s.
It all started a decade ago with 2 dudes from a car magazine driving a junk cheap pontiac catalina on a road trip on youtube. Years forward we have beautiful channels like yours showing the real car stuff, real mechanics work and fun with all junk, while the original crew still does its stuff, now its paid "official stuff", its not for us anymore.
And you got even better than the original, because its so authentic and tbh the youth spirit makes a lot.
Love your work, keep it up.
BTW im an european guy who never saw a car like this in real life, I only had one "classic car" but it was a 1971 Fiat, still this brings memories of playing with the cars which I miss and dont miss on modern cars at the same time.
Great to see another Cutlass on the channel, mate. She's an absolute beaut. That interior (bar the seat) looks minty fresh and you could eat off the head lining.....if the car was upside down..... Don't.....don't do that.....
When you dropped in on Pole Barn Garage in a Cutlass, I honestly thought you'd borrowed the old man's ride for a southern cruise, but now the dots are joined on that score. Looks to me like Grandma might have taken an excursion and wiped the driver's side along something (or had a minor nose to tail centre / right) early on in the car's life as the hood / RF fender are definitely more the colour of your Dad's beast than the original colour. Doesn't matter - she's still a brilliant Survivor Class car and to be honest, it makes her overall condition more believable.
She's a pretty damn straight example with great condition chrome, mouldings and glass. If it were my decision, I'd address the rust (and blend the paint in the patched area rather than painting the panel), fix the seat, bring the paint back as much as I could and drive her as is. The only serious problem is lifting that vinyl top and addressing the rot in the A and C pillars, but if the vinyl isn't crusty, it can be lifted off and out of the way while the repair section is sorted. If it had to come all the way off because it wouldn't clear the hot spot, I'd get one refitted. That top is part of the class that the car has and to me, they don't look right without it (or where someone has painted the roof instead of putting one back on). Not cheap nowadays, but still doable.
Any way you do it, that's one lovely car. All the best
Probably my absolute FAVORITE muscle. I'd take a 70' Monte Carlo, but I'd take a Cutlass without even blinking.
Always a great night when I get the notification from you. Very informative video. Great job
1972 was a fantastic year for music! We had smash hits by the O'Jays with "Backstabbers" and "Love Train"; Johnny Nash's "I can see Clearly Now", Elvis was at Madison Square Garden; The Raiders were still riding their success with their multi-platinum hit "Indian Reservation" and had some follow up hits with "Powder-Blue Mercedes Queen" and "Country Wine".
CBS and RCA had their Quadraphonic systems going in full swing and yes, 8-tracks were still very much "the In thing".
I am watching your channel for the first time. Awesome work!
It's really cool how you leave in inevitable mistakes. Along with all the tips and tricks, you also show lessons learned, which is way more valuable than almost every other DYI I've seen! Thank you!
Congratulations Mook and Kevin!!!. You two are a Great team and enjoy watching your videos each week.
That dash looks amazing super nice interior for the age other then the driver side seat but wow @Junkyard Digs
The wash at the very end did something to me that I cannot express through words.
Bro, I'm watching this from South Africa, and I must say I love your videos dude. Love seeing you revive these old beauties, and putting them back on the road. Side note, Mook is so funny! Thanks for keeping me entertained and teaching me more and more every video. Keep doing what you doing man. We appreciate it! Gonna try and order one of your sweatshirts/hoodies, and send it over here with some friends or family that is gonna come o er from the states!
The tire thing is fairly common in Texas. Weirdest thing ever because the tire will look fine one day, then you'll hear a bang and the tire has exploded into a million pieces
Many congratulations on your engagement, and wish you both health and happiness in the future 👍 Another fantastic car brought back to life (ever thought of getting some of the CZcams detailer to have a go at professionally detailing the car? WD detailing/Ammo)? 😁🇬🇧
Congrats on the engagement !! And finally a show of affection during the break of this video, That was really nice to see besides how u 2 usually are but just enuff not too much & to top it off a long video with a great car(hopefully) can’t wait for pt 2….Best Wishes for u’s
My mom had one of these, hers looked just like it, except hers was a cream color. I remember laying on the flat ledge part on top of the rear seat just under the rear window, on road trips in the early 80s lol.
Awesome find, I'm jealous!. I would love to have one and scoop my mom up in it and reminisce.
Great episode as usual guys. Love Mooks Cutless 😉👍
Very sweet congratulations to u and moot!
My grandson and I love watching you guys. Thank you for keeping me and my grandson entertained. Good luck with the engagement.
Love my 72 Cutlass, which looks gold, but it's Bamboo Yellow. My grandfather bought the car new, and I got it when he passed in 2000. Now its full Hotchkis suspension, Wilwood brakes. Oh, and a 500hp 3.8 turbo V6 from a Buick Grand National in it. 😁
Extending congratulations to the happy couple Kevin and Mook!!!! Hope your bridal car is this '72 Olds Cutlass S... Really good how you guys did the roadsteration to it and its amazing how well preserved it is because you won't find a survivor this pristine up in my neck of the woods... From the home of PB Blaster... Cleveland, Ohio....

Congratulations to you Kevin & Mook on your Engagement may all your days be cruising down the highways in life ❤️❤️
I had a 70 and in my opinion the 70 to 72 Olds Cutlass had the best styling of all the muscle cars of that era, Also the guy who invented the power washer should get a no bell prize!!!
Congratulations to y'all wedding enjoy your car! guys!
Love you guys a lot, got me to buy a 1981 jeep Cherokee, kinda signed myself up for a bit too much though lol. Keep it up!
great cars. this really deserves to be back on the road.
I remembered that era. I owned a cutlass supreme. It had a 4-barrel carb, bucket seats, floor shift/console. I love your awesome find, my friend! Now I’m really jealous 😮😅.
That is a sick barn find cutlass!! Congratulations on the engagement!! Keep up the content!!! LOVE IT!!!
God you guys keep pumping out the best content and it keeps getting better and better and I like that you guys don’t try and self censor and still have a good sense of humor. You gotta have a sensor of humor to work on old cars.
I whole heartedly agree that a good sense of humour is vital for fingering old vehicles and coping with all the crap life throws at you.
Congratulations on the Engagement you two are my favorite CZcamsrs without a doubt.
The interior of this car for sitting 23 years was incredible and the nicest I have seen of any car sitting that long
I always enjoy Mook's random corkiness in the videos you never know what she is going to say and I admire that
In my opinion Mook should definitely have the car so you can both have one.
I am looking forward to next week's video
This video has excellent levels of CHAOS!
And a really nice Cutlass. My dad had a car that colour when I was a kid.
My brothers first car was a 1971 Olds Cutlass S. When he ordered the car he check off every performance option, 4 speed manual transmission, NO AIR CONDITIONING, and a 343 rear gear set. Now, 1971 was the year that GM dropped the compression ratios to 8:1. Odd thing about that Cutlass is that when we did a compression test in had a 10.75:1 compression ratio. The car was also good for a 14.3 second quarter mile with 10 inch cheaters. What he got was an under the table performance package that in this case featured a 1970 W31 350. Note, this is typical for General Motors in the 1970's and 1980's. His 1979 Camaro was delivered with an L82 Corvette engine that featured 2.02 inch intakes that were discontinued aroungd 1976 for the L82. Then there was his 1987 IROC Camaro, at that time the 350 was an auto only engine option. Funny thing is that IROC came with a block with 350 engine codes and was a lot quicker than either the L69 305 or the 350 Auto equipped IROC's. Point is, if you see a car with dual exhaust, manual 4 speed and no AC from GM it may be packing some extra heat under the hood.
Congratulations on your engagement, you guys rock, I look forward to your videos all the time, take care and be safe
Great looking car! I look forward to seeing the revival and the drive home! Thank you for offering international shipping in the future. I appreciate it from up here in Canada.
I started University in 1972. That Cutlass has aged a whole lot better than I have. Great project to revive a really good looking car. Its got style and class without being garish. Looking forward to the next episode in the project.
Congrats guys! The restoration was great too!
I hope you plan on keeping this, restore it. It would be really cool if you and your dad where at a car show/parade driving together.
That's a great find and in good shape.....I found my 1986 cutlass a few years back and was parked because of a radiator leak....picked it up for 1500 and has 36k original miles
