    After listening to all of this, I am even more confused than ever, it's a crazy amount of information, why is it so difficult to be healthy 😔

    • @margaretcordova3268
      @margaretcordova3268 Před 4 měsíci

      Do not be confused. If I was new to trying to eat healthy this would have discouraged me too! Not sure if she’s a doctor too? It’s way too much information for newer individuals trying to learn. Dr. Hyman has good information but some of these people on here say way too much. Try Dr. Berg. He’s real simple. Then maybe come back to this video? Sone people need guidance. I do most health issues on my own. Just put in a question on utube and Dr. Bergs mane afterwards! He’s real simple and has over 2500 videos that are east to follow!

  • @Freshwater.Scratcher
    @Freshwater.Scratcher Před 5 měsíci +5

    It is not that simple for everyone! I have been on Keto for many months. I track calories and micro-nutrients. My Daily Nutrition Goals are:
    Calories 1500; Carbohydrates 19 g at 5%; Fat 125 g at 75 %; Protein 75 g 20 %. I am not in keto-sis currently (using the keto sticks I have) and I am not losing weight. I am never hungry so I do not overeat. I exercise a minimum of 30 minutes a day 7 days a week. I do intermittent fasting for at least 14 hour periods within every 24 hour period. My weight loss is zero pounds! I did Stillman in the 1960s and Robert Atkins in the 1970s. I have lost 100s of pounds in my life I am sure and the weight always comes back. I weighed 100 pounds when I was six years old. I recently did weight waters for 5 years with minimal success being faithful to the plan and following it.

      You sound like me beginning about seven years ago. The frustration was overwhelming at times. I'm nearly 54 now, and it's only been in the last year that I discovered I was doing everything wrong for MY body. Then I finally switched to a strictly carnivore diet (a fantastic elimination diet), eating only animal protein and fat when I was hungry instead of monitoring every variable, and began meeting with a Naturopathic Physician who also specialized in women's health. It took three months for my insulin levels to finally begin to normalize and all of my lab numbers improved just from the diet change, and I lost 25 pounds in that time. Through my labs I discovered that it wasn't just insulin driving my issues, but hormones in general. I was perimenopausal for over six years and had consistently gained weight during those years no matter what I did, and it was because all of my hormones were so out of whack. Additionally, testing showed I'd developed a massive number of food sensitivities (I literally had reactions to over 90% of the foods I was tested for), resulting in massive inflammation. The food sensitivities were resultant of leaky gut. Now I'm taking a hollistic approach to healing my body and the weight continues to melt off. Additionally, my workouts now only consist of daily walking for 30" plus brief heavy weight training once or twice per day for no more than ten minutes per session, both of which keep your body out of the stress flight or fight mode. It turned out that the higher intensity workouts were triggering my body to RETAIN fat, not lose it, because the exercise kept my cortisol stress response elevated. Oh... and since I went carnivore, I've cut out all added sugar, which is simply tasty poison. I don't use any natural or artifical sweeteners, and now that I've progressed, I consume select fibrous carbohydrates for flavor and variety and I'll only occasionally have berries and nuts as a sweet snack. I wish you luck, because I know how hard it is.

    Mostly carbs, missing prebiotics, missing probiotics, zero digestive enzymes, no exercise, and several pounds overweight, will cause the hugest bloated stomach. Minimal carbs, daily digestive enzyme at the start of your main meal every day, include prebiotics, include probiotics, include two sets of thirty reps of ab crunches daily - I use an ab lounge, lose five pounds, by intermittent fasting, or modified keto, and your stomach will flatten out and feel great.

There are no documented long-lived groups, including those with the highest number of centenarians, that practice extreme or restrictive diets.
