    We are trying really hard to complicate this. The people who claim to be in a calorie deficit, yet not seeing weight loss, are NOT in a calorie deficit. When speaking of nutrients and how it may affect your health, no not every calorie is the same obviously, when speaking of energy they are all the same.

    • @Rosemari753
      @Rosemari753 Pƙed 18 dny +2

      Definitely disagree with this conclusion. If I eat a piece of cake, I feel like crap and my energy tanks and I want to lay down and do nothing. If I eat an apple I feel energized and want to go for a walk or move around in some way. So even if they had the same number of calories, I would much more easily and readily (without trying) burn more calories from the healthier more nutrient dense food. I am certain my non exercise energy thermogenesis changes drastically based on the type of food I eat.

    "Indigestibility" is the word. When I eat nuts and seeds at least 30-40% of them come out the other end completely undigested, so that obviously isn't effecting my weight gain. However, highly refined foods digest and are absorbed completely. Anything made of sugar and or flour, powdered foods, is quick and easy to absorb and store as fat. Fat and high quality (animal) protein also dissolves and absorbs fast. The difference is the excess carbs can't do anything but become fat. Dietary fat and amino acids can be used as building blocks for every cell in the body, not just fat cells. Building things has the side effect of using more energy, raising metabolism. Imagine that.

    I lost 18 kgs / 39 lbs doing OMAD.
    NEAT, with resistance training and no specific cardio was done.
    It worked for me - but there is no guarantee it would work for anyone else.
    When tracked which was rare - my intake comprised of 60% fat and 20% each from carbs and Protein.
    Did I lose fat and muscle - no doubt - only a DEXA would have confirmed it.
    That said - having less fat covering the muscle I had, made the reflection very pleasing to the eye.
    OMAD... may not be ideal, but I guess trying that approach for fat loss and NOT neglecting resistance training would be more favourable than opting for a quick fix, pharma injectable, pill. lotion or powder approach.
    My bottom line is, which ever path one decides to take, ideally not via pharma, make it so it can be done with consistency and does not end up being a chore.
    As always - thank you for uploading and sharing.
