I have seen 8 or 9 reactions to the Petersen’s videos and you are the ONLY one who knew the whole band, their instruments, and really appreciated their musical talents. Many loved their voices, but no one knew their names or all of their instruments and had the appreciation you did. That speaks highly of you and your musical talent as well. Well done!👍

Back when he had a smaller sub list, I would make it a point to read as many of the comments as I could, especially for bands I liked or came to like. I subbed when he had 13,000 people.

His channel is a very positive place. I know that if I watch a livestream or read through the comments on a video, it's always going to make me feel a little happier. As someone with extreme depression, I'm so glad that I found his channel...I know I'm going to feel a bit better after spending some time here.

I absolutely LOVE the Petersens. They’re great musicians and human beings. Have been listening to them for a long while now. This is, by FAR the most technical, intelligent, music-knowledgeable, and BEST overall music review I’ve seen in the net! It’s soooo refreshing to find a reviewer like this musician, who doesn’t review using words like, “oh my god, this is so good” or “this music gives me goose bumps” or “wow, s/he/they can really play/sing,” that’s what we say, the viewers, that’s not a professional review, that’s just cheering. However, there are a lot of self proclaimed music reviewers who say exactly those words (specially, a Hispanic lady that comes to mind.) This man is a true music translator and teacher! Great job! Heeeeeeeeyyyyy! I love the Petersens from the first time I heard and saw them cover “Take Me Home, Country Roads”. They’re amazingly talented and inspirational imho. Watched every single video they have out. And enjoyed them ALL. From the days of Julianne, so cute, dancing when Dad was still playing in the band. She was pretty amazing. But, is even greater on the mandolin. Matt is just a solid musician. Very humble. But has a comical side too. Emmet on Dobro is soooooo very cool. If I wasn’t learning piano, or was more into being very good at it already, I’d probably pick up playing the Dobro or fiddle/violin. I have a steel guitar collecting dust because I wanted to play so many instruments at once😂😆🤣. But, came to my senses and picked two, bass and piano, for now until I feel comfortable enough I am good enough to throw in another instrument to learn. But after watching Jerry Douglas(of the GREAT, Alison Krauss’ band) and Emmet on the Dobro…..and Rosie Langley and Katie Petersen on violin/fiddle, respectively, I come to look forward to learning them both in my near future.
Love Katie, and Mom on the upright. I play bass and always pull towards any bass player. But Katie always mesmerizes me with her fiddle.
There’s a vid they have out at a live show where they’re performing the great, Patsy Cline’s “She’s Got You”, with Ellen’s sweet voice on vocals…and, Katie does a solo that is fantastic. There is never a view I watch(and I’ve watched it over a 100x😆) that I won’t AT LEAST rewind that solo part 10+ times. It is soooooooo smooth and cool. And, of course, she’s a cutie🫶🏽🤙🏾🎼😁
Thanks for having them on your channel to analyze, brother. We need more artists like The Petersens and AURORA, from Norway, in this world of ours. Where the music is the focus. Without the extra stuff all over it. Where pure voices is on display. No ten thousand dancers….no lead singer half naked strutting around trying to throw the audience off of the terrible off key vocals and even worse, lyrics.
These two are very refreshing to the ears. And should be highlighted more. They both are great role models for the youth AND adults alike.
Huge Mahalo again, Fil. Keep up your great channel and congrats on your 275,000+. You deserve even more. Stay positive and humble. And keep Rockin’🤘🏾
    Much Aloha, Brother 🎼🤙🏾✌🏾

I’m so glad you did an analysis of the Petersens. We saw them perform two years ago (7/7/20) at the Little Opry Theater in Branson, MO. They are very good!

Been following The Petersons for a while. I think this is one of the best things they've done, although they're a pretty talented family and there's loads of good stuff on their CZcams channel.

That’s because they sing in live shows 4 times a week, at least. Two gospel shows and two secular ones, they practice a lot ❤

Thank you for introducing this talented group of musicians to me! I was ignorant of them until this analysis.

I really liked the interplay between the fiddle and dobro at the end.

One of the things I love about this video is that Fil is so good at his expert analysis and telling and showing us lots of things to think about, but then at the 7:39 mark where he starts to play the Peterson's video again his face lights up with pure enjoyment. I love getting both.

I watched this a couple of weeks ago. This is so well done beautiful harmonies I like the banjo, Dobro, mandolin and the solo slide guitar Violins, fiddles that you call them so good. Time change, bluegrass. Queen's vocals taken by three people or so NOT Lipsinced. To the Petersons, to FIL picking up the uniqueness and enough Queen for satisfaction of fans of Queen and Petersons.

It’s really nice to see young people with REAL talent, not just someone shaking their butt and lip syncing, this is the music we should be promoting and getting contracts, not what I see in the current pop music

These guys have zero fear, and they are so creative. They have the natural vocal blend that genetics gifted them with as a family, but they really sweat the details and just do a great job. I've been following them for a few years, and I was AMAZED to see you doing a review of them. I literally did a double take. Good on you for taking them as they are and giving them credit for what they. have done here. You da man, Phil!!!

Been following this family for a while. I love their music and talent. Katie is the arranger of the music. Ellen did go to Hollywood on American Idol. I love your analysis. There is nothing more refreshing than to hear a professional of another genre break down a performance and give it high praise.

The reason I love your channel so much is because the joy on your face when you're watching other musicians perform is genuine. I believe that a truly talented musician is able to appreciate other truly talented musicians, regardless of the genre they perform in. It's what make watching your videos a real pleasure. 🎶😊 🎶

Once again: You are a class act, Fil! The way you respect great music makes you a friend of mine! Well done! Greetings from Norway! PS: The way The Petersons end "Bohemian Rhapsody" is even more lovely than Queen's version, as far as I'm concerned!

I was very impressed with your natural voice and as always your bang on it.
I love the Peterson's and you may have introduced a lot of people to some good stuff.

You've got to Love Julie's, mandolin and vocals, and I think violin at least one time I remember, smile when she plays. Did you know she was high school valedictorian a few years ago? Also, the violinist, mental name block, surely enjoys playing.

So very cool. Thanks for bringing it to my attention. I love how a piece of music can have more lives than a cat when given new interpretations by musicians with unique visions. That's what art is about.
