    • @PhysioClassroom
      @PhysioClassroom  Před 4 lety

      The important steps of designing comprehensive treatment protocol for a musculoskeletal condition involves the following:
      1. Working on muscles ( stretching and strengthening exercises)
      2. Working on the fascia ( cyriax, active release therapy/ soft tissue mobilization)
      3. Working in the local and near by joints.
      4. Nerve Mobilization
      5. Corresponding vertebral/ spinal mobilization ( eg mobilizing the cervical spine for shoulder, elbow and wrist problems)
      6. Activating the lymphatics/ facilitating lymphatic drainage from affected / painful region
      In summary no one technique is the complete answer to all the problem.
      The strain counterstrain technique described will only help in treating the tight subscapularis when it is the causes of restricted ER in frozen shoulder.
      I hope you will now also work on the other elements for better treatment outcome as suggested.
      Thanks for watching Physioclassroom 😊

    Does we need to maneuver the tender point?

    • @PhysioClassroom
      @PhysioClassroom  Před 2 lety +1

      Just maintain the initial pressure throughout the procedure to scale the tenderness.
      Here the treatment focuses on the muscle as a whole rather than just the tender point.
