    I may sometimes be only half awake, but I DO try an acknowledge the driver on boarding. I always say @Thank You@ as I get off. But the exit doors are further back, apart from a couple of our local services using small single-deckers.

    When I applied I had to sit a test on a computer. I think the rationale behind the test was for risk assessment and to see how safe you are as a driver. The test presents a series of driving scenarios and asks you to rate them. Very difficult to game the test, because they kind of ask the same thing several times in a different way to see if you are being truthful. Anyway I managed to get through that OK, pass the medical, a driving assessment (in an automatic car) and pass the Theory and Hazard Perception, and then they gave me a start date! Obviously procedures will differ a lot between the various companies.

    Hello Andre, It looks like you can make a video about every single item mentioned in the final bus check, books or practical exam. Q1. Do busdrivers also get a special training how to deal with difficult passengers? Q2. What do the trainers/books tell you about the technics inside of the bus (motor and electrical systems)? Q3. The books teach you also how to drive a truck? Are you allowed to drive a truck after finishing your practical test? Q4. What is your advice when the busdriver isn't friendly (doesn't reply my greetings, behaves nasty to other passengers, has a bad temper ... ?)

    • @DeckerLondon
      @DeckerLondon  Před 5 lety +2

      Hey Johan
      Q1: Do busdrivers also get a special training how to deal with difficult passengers? Well not really, but we have been taught to show brilliant customer services and also to show professionalism in our job as a bus driver
      Q2: What do the trainers/books tell you about the technics inside of the bus (motor and electrical systems)? Good Question, I don't know very much about the bus motors and electrical systems. But the technicians at the Garage will be trained in that field.
      Q3: The books teach you also how to drive a truck? Are you allowed to drive a truck after finishing your practical test? I am not licences to drive a large truck HGV class 1 or known as a LGV C+E and HGV Class 2. I will have to go under for another theory and practical test.
      Q4: What is your advice when the bus driver isn't friendly (doesn't reply my greetings, behaves nasty to other passengers, has a bad temper ... ?)
      Wow, that's a difficult question to answer lool. If a bus driver doesn't show a friendly customer service back to any passengers on any service, then don't get involved, best thing to do is to report it. Bare in mind reporting it does includes evidence from the CCTV footage and voice records.
      I hope that answers your questions, if you got any more questions, keep them coming.
      All the best
      Andre

    • @DeckerLondon
      @DeckerLondon  Před 5 lety

      Many bus companies pays for your training. But if you find a company that doesn't pay for your training. The cost is roughly **2019** estimated up-to at £2,000. Customer services is great to have but not essential if you haven't had the experience before. I hope that's answer you question.

      Hey Thomas
      Good question, I throw in my answer here for yaa, not always the case I would go with the route at my garage if we lost it and it was rewarded with another company, again it is up to the driver to go with the route or not. I hope that answers your questions.

      @@DeckerLondon If it's the only route you know then you also have one option, to go which the route. If you know other routes in the original garage then it's up to them and you to work something out. As you might know other routes in the garage but they might have a full allocation of drivers. So you're still going to another operater.
