- If you think bands don't need mission statements, think again. Great clip of famed producer Rick Rubin talking about his work with Black Sabbath. Great producers, like great leaders, help define the vision and objectives. There is freedom in structure.

I wouldn't mind being Rick Rubin for a couple years. Seems like he's been living the dream since he started.
Word.
You'd have to be Jewish.
For real haha! Did he even work his way up or did the first band he recorded take off? 😂

Rick has been working hard since he started, basically running Def Jam out of a tiny college dorm without them knowing in the beginning.
@@knowledge4741 the hard work that not many will put in. Had to go hard in youth to enjoy it now
Brad Wilk one of my favorite drummer 🤩🤩
I didn't know rage against the machine drummer was in sabbath.
Ya doesn't work well he certainly isn't Bill Ward
it is is it??
He was on this album!
Yes u did
Rick Rubin & Bob Rock..
Best damn music producers in Rock !🤩🤘
LOL. Not even close.
@@johndeaux3703 Your entitled to your opinion!🙄
Nope. Steve Butler made better records.
Ok right now I'm learning Brad Wilk played with Sabbath?!
Rick… you should’ve demanded they work out whatever it was that kept Bill Ward off.
And Brad, nothing personal, I love Audioslave
That was Bill's place behind the kit!!
He shouldnt have gotten so out of shape then.
Rubin: I want to make an album sound like early Sabbath.
Sabbath: We don't need you for that.
Rubin: Cool. I'll just lie down and listen.
I just wish Rodger Bain could see this and have a laugh.
Where is Bill?
Bill was out of shape. You know drinking and stuff ..... also he's old.
@@blasterofmuppets4754 Nahh Bill can still play... They didn't agree financially... Bill said they offered him a shit contract.
One word: Sharon.
Squirting
If I was a really great band, I could not take Rick, jack of all trades master of none....
Sabbath =‘s what to play in your car so a jerk doesn’t try to take over as a driver
he failed with this album
