Nobody talking, no out of place music, just the real experience of being there! I kept watching for bears and cougars! THANK YOU! By the way, this is a very valuable video, don't sell it cheaply. It will NEVER GET OLD OR OUTDATED. Nobody is doing this. EVERYBODY IS DOING VIDEOS, BUT FEW HAVE THOUGHT TO PUT THE VIEWER IN THE VIDEO LIKE YOU DID. It could be worth BIG MONEY. DO SOME MORE videos like this. Hospitals and nursing homes and probably prisons, maybe ESPECIALLY PRISONS want stuff like this! Stay off the camera, (your face) like you did here. You better jump on the virtual hikes name unless it's already taken. But "(Your name) virtual hikes" isn't taken. Watching other people's videos with them in the show, is not as much fun, because it is all about THEM.
Just want to say thank you so much for the kind words! It was my grandmother who was the inspiration for this project, so reading this is truly gratifying. I know 'nature & its healing qualities' can sound corny, but it's always had that effect on me at least. Awesome, thanks for the video! I was looking for good background video behind my birds cage in living room that would have just nature without annoying similar piano music or stock birds singing. This looks great! Birds and guests love it alike 😊
I just used my treadmill and watched this video, sometimes thought I am right there lol it’s amazing, I loved it, very beautiful, the only thing I was thinking, what if an animal attacks , I was there once but stayed close to my car just in case if something happens I can get in the car faster lol
I finally found this site, after searching for months. Excellent doing it in 4k. Have you done any 360 videos of these same hikes? (Or do much shorter 360 hikes of the most spectacular spots.) What I like to do is off trail hiking, and in areas like this amount of plant life, it'd be spectacular.
Glad you like it! Agreed, bushwhacking off-trail is a blast. I don't have any 360 videos unfortunately, but those cameras really are fascinating. There's aspects of the current tech I'm iffy about (some don't film 4K, some do but have other recording limitations, or they have issues with filming in low-light, they're trickier to edit, etc. etc.) If I did, it'd probably have to be for shorter hikes as you said, but I love the idea of it; it truly would be ideal. I'll probably wait a gen or two & see how things go. Thanks for the comment!

I understand the video but prefer some narration. General information about the area stuff like that. Gear used are there any predators to look out for, can you camp. Can't hear you breathing. Is the mic down by your feet ? Great video 📹 👍 👏
Yeah I do skip the narration to (hopefully) keep things nature-focused & differentiate myself a bit, but I totally get anyone who prefers it. I include some basic info in the description below, but there could def be more. I experimented w/adding captions to my latest video (hiking in Slovenia) w/info like that, but not sure I'll stick with it; editing takes twice as long. Always happy to answer q's though - animals: there are black bears & cougars but very, very rare. I've only seen a bear once - just its backside, it was running away as fast as it could. They're usually shy. Camping: yes, supposedly there's an official spot near the last waterfall junction (tho I didn't notice it). You could also prob squeeze in somewhere creekside, around 1:02:00 in the video. Mountain bikes are allowed: Dogs also allowed, on-leash only. I've tried out different mic placements; no matter what, you get footstep noise (still trying to figure out how to reduce that). Right now it's placed near the middle, so no breathing at least. Hi there, you do not need a special monitor! It'll still play at a lower setting even without 4K-capable hardware. CZcams tends to default video playback at the lowest quality it can get away with, but there's a way to force it to play at the quality you want: near the bottom of every video, on the bottom right should be a symbol shaped like a gear. Tap on this to show the "Settings" and there should be an option for "Quality". The highest possible is 2160p60 (aka 4K), but you can try something lower & see if that helps (I hope it does)! Otherwise, the cause could be a dozen other things - internet connection, hardware, CZcams throwing a fit... hard to say without being there. A geeky acquaintance may be able to assist :)
