      cut them some slack - every company has a hiccup or two. I have two of their cans and they rock. I didn't have a second thread adapter with my wolverine - they mailed me one ASAP.

      If you knew anything about manufacturing in the NFA world when using manufacturing partners under a variance you might be a little slower to judge DA. I would encourage you to dig a little deeper and do your homework. The amount of actual claims on defective cans was below the 200 mark, waaay les than what your friends on the internet/reddit would have you believe. The failure in the manufacturing was on the part of KGM and getting them to own up to it took a while. Since then DA has put a lot of changes in place to ensure this doesn’t happen again. Every can is now QC’d in house by them after they receive it from their manufacturing partners.

      Previously automotive manufacturing engineer.. we purchased components from Denso, Mitsubishi, Omron, and more to make ABS units. We had defective solenoids from Denso that results in massive recalls.
      Take a guess as to who took the blame and had to make statements regarding the the failures along with the fixes? FYI it wasn’t Denso..

    Looks awesome. I'd totally pick up a 3d printed nomad if it wasn't made by a company who won't admit to the S5 issues.

      They admit to it now. But blame you (the internet) for blowing it WAY out of proportion. Basically gaslighting you. Denial was prob a better approach. I have a S5 and it’s an amazing can. But such an unprofessional approach to this issue.

      @fluffywarhampster Před měsícem

      @thatguy3139 all their cans are shit. The Sierra is just the most recent example. The Wolfmans were blowing up when they came out, nomads have been failing and even sandmans have been failing....he'll my sandman came funed up from the factory with an out of spec keymo mount and faulty coating that's started to chip after 2 mags. The only can I know of from them without major issues is the mask but a 22lr can isn't a high bar.
      If you haven't had an issue with a dead air can you just haven't used it enough or should be rushing to buy the nearest lotto ticket.

      I spoke to the rep in the orange shorts in this video for 25 to 30 minutes about the Sierra five. Dude was super honest with the issues they had with. explained to me everything that was going on. Had no problem discussing the shortcomings of dead air and how they are going to solve this in the future. The sierra five issues got blown out of proportion. It was very few, and the manufacturing issued that was found was solved, but it took some time. Every company has growing pains, from my research and my conversations with these guys, it seems like every customer was taken care of
      Funnily enough the surefire reps on the other side of Ben Avery did not want to talk about the RC3 in anyway. And didn’t want to acknowledge any of the flash issues with that can.

      @@stinger4651 That's good to hear. Hopefully they've learned and implemented proper changes. I get that products can have issues but it's how you deal with the issue that determines whether the customer comes back for more

    • @stinger4651
      @stinger4651 Před měsícem +3

      @@ph00ny1 from my conversation it seemed like the Sierra 5 was manufactured by a company they used in the past but in a completely new way. The manufacturer had some issues with a batch of cans. Deadair moved the manufacturing to a different company that was able to do them correctly but that took time.
      The fix wasn’t as simple as turning a dial on the laser welder. If you take notice, nobodies cans are exploding anymore. And the Reddit posts that happen these days are all mostly user error.
