When I was a kid I nearly bought an invader, had a 440 liquid which the owner claimed would push it near 100mph. Whatever speed it has gidyup, never regret buying the Yamaha SS440 instead though
@@heatmoon LOL everyone said that! I had both and they never went past 65-70 stock, and that would be on a real cold night with perfect snow. Best I've ever seen was an '80 intruder with pipes, clutch, weiscos, porting with 40mm flatsides, topped out at 85.
Wish they would bring back a simple sled for about $4000, I don’t need all the technology that puts a sled over $10,000, the 440 snojet would be just fine.
I hate these new things. The reason for having snowmobiles was to be able to get somewhere n back in a world of snow. All I need is a simple bogey tracked srrong dependable light enough yo break trail in powder. I'm 80 yrs old from the Bush of Alaska.Sleds like Skidoo Olympeak and Elans and an Alpine dual track for hauling supplies and building materials into the bush. Or to haul a meat sled with a caraboo or moose in it.That's why I havel a collection of sleds from the 70s. All kinds. Dandahermit.
My Brothers Intruder was a beast. I remember racing him on my Dad's Exciter and he pretty much won hands down every time. And thats hammered down from a dead start. I remember it was a long sled with that arrow pointed hood they just looked fast. The Sno-Jet looks like my cousins Kawasaki Inviter 340 which was a good sled.
Both run pretty good!
I have a 1975 SST 433cc free air, Bought it new in 1974
Would be nice to have some snow. That old baby sounded sweet.
Back in the day the Kawasaki 440 and 550 were hammers. Why did Kawasaki ever stop making snowmobiles they were a good sled

That’s such a good snowmobile video, I feel just like I’m the one driving it 😊
Miss my k 440 intruder man that thing hulled ...no front suspension in those days tho
No front suspension was half the fun! Tape that throttle and see how much skill you had as a rider! Whooo-Hoooo!
Thanks for posting. Miss my 80 k 440 too. Lota good memories.
You made my evening.
made me smile
Thx for posting this!
Nice!
kawy is fastest
Would you be interested in selling a Sno jet
Kawi is faster
Not in deep powder snow. The Sno Jet would embarrass it in a big way in rwo feet of powder
