I have been asked a couple of times to show some of the equipment I use for Testing amps, Well this is a behind the scenes look at some of the equipment I have been using, and some of the new additions to the test area.
Also in the Video I show 3 batteries.. That has since gone up to 5 D1400 batteries with 4 more on the way soon.

Awesome! Good idea to use an office to test amps, I use my detached garage and it has been really tough with the weather lately. I may need to convert my unused office into my testing lab too! Great idea showing off your testing equipment and yeah, looks like you have enough to test several thousand watts. Can't wait to see what you release next!
Yeah, recommended! It has been unseasonably cold even down here in NC for the past week. I have plans to insulate and heat/cool my garage, but it may take some time to finish.

PLEASE DO RYAN! I have a few questions that would most likely be answered if an update video was made. Great channel by the way, just subscribed (to you as well BigDWiz). I am currently in the middle of building onto my existing home theater system with a car audio amp/subs/psu/ etc. My main question is about your use of the Intellicharger. Before seeing your setup, I was under the impression I'd be fine with the RD Power 150A PSU coupled with my spare Optima Yellow Top to push the Rockville dB16. You're using both RD Power PSUs as well as the Intellicharger. Are you just using the Intellicharger when not hooked up to the RD Powers for battery health purposes? Or does it stay hooked into the system for extra power?? Let me know! Thanks in advance, keep it up!

I just found this video. Been watching ya for a month now and I have learned a lot about amps that I didn't know before. My first amp was one that u tested. The Boss 1100w mono. That only did 128w lol.
Currently I'm planning a system build win which I cram 14 speakers into my single cab ranger. Powered by a mono and a 5 channel amps. And because of your videos you have helped me to pick out the best amps for the speakers I'm getting. Because I know the true wattage the amps do I can match that to the speakers to make sure I don't exceed the limits of either. So thanks a ton for these vids. I find them both very informative and funny. Your personality and brute honesty is refreshing. Keep up the great work bro!

Dude I can't wait, your doing a great job man and i love the amps ur buying and testing, Gonna be a big year coming up. My first amp was a hand me down Jl Slash 500 so i lucked out but my bros first amp was a boss too lol, after that it was all rockford and JL to this day.

Ryan Blankenship mine may be different, but they have no positive or negative... so I can parallel them, but if I try and switch it around I still get the paralleled impedance.
Ryan Blankenship I’ve only tried it with the 1ohm version because I didn’t have 2 4ohm resistors so that could possibly be the difference? Although it seems like it shouldn’t matter...
Ryan Blankenship same way I would with voice coils on a sub. I just hooked them up wire to wire and got 1/2ohm but when I hook up just one wire and then take the 2 left I still get 1/2ohm.

I understand the budget nature of the channel. It makes sense because cheaper amps are more likely over rated than expensive amps. I'm currently in the market for ~3kW amp which kind of takes me out of the budget set of amps. But for the more expensive amps, I'm curious how they compare in efficiency. Anyhow, to make the long story short, I wish you tested some more expensive amps that target the higher wattage market (Sundown, DC Audio, event CT Sounds maybe). Love the channel, keep it up!
I'll definitely keep watching! Might consider the Orion, I guess. I like the small footprint and the 2500.1D put up good numbers. What's the difference between D and Dz? Not really into those other brands...

Hey Ryan I have seen some Jensen Power amps on Amazon and I noticed some of the line uses High Current Toshiba Output transistors and was wondering if you might test out the 500 watt mono amp and see if it does its rated power.

very nice setup, and test vids! I have a question for you, as you know your stuff. Im currently looking for a solid budget amp, that does 800-1k rms @ 2 ohm... that doesnt break the bank like my last build with a sundown 3kd/tc-3000 15"s.. Just looking for a couple proven options, best bang for buck, reliable... THANKS BRO! side note I tossed a mtx 2300 thunder that needed a tune up, in my home remodel last year, kicking myself now after Bigdwiz test of it, looks to be the most under rated amp ever... still got the 4300...

Have another question. Do you have your power supply hooked up to your battery bank? If not, it wouldn’t hurt to hook it to a battery bank since the power supply is putting out DC voltage would it?
Ok, well the power supply I have now is a Pyramid PSV-300 and only puts out 13.8v. I just have two amps running. I have a Ultimate TA4320 on 6x9”s and a KAC-8105D on a 15”. It’s just a little something to have some music in the garage. I have some other old amps I like to hook up and mess with too. It does fine at low to medium volume and even at high volume, just depends. It cuts out when it tries to go low. Sucks the power right now....So I was just wondering if I could hook up my power supply and use the batteries for a reserve for when it wants more juice.

Cool:) I know the amp I have is overrated too but I was just curious to see how much it would do. Maybe in the future you might come across a good deal on an Audiobahn amp LOL, but I love the channel, and keep the great vids coming.
