Sooaemalelagi is a direct decendant of Nafanua, through Tonumaipe'a Sauoaiga's courtship / usuga of Gatoaitele's daughter Atogauga'atuitonga or Atogauga-a-Tui'Tonga or Ato etc (Samoans, to this day, still have MANY names due to these royal title bestowment and land rights. Ato and Vaetamasoalii's mother, along with their brother Lalovi, was - Gatoaitele. Gatoaitele was the daughter of Malietoa La'auli, and the granddaughter of Tui'Samoa or Tuisamoa or Tui'Fiti or Tuifiti as he was also known because they were from our great families in Fiji.
