    Hello To all of our Great Subscribers!!! DO THIS EVERY 6 MONTHS OR 6000 MILES! Cleaning your MAF is very important as it will give you the info needed for the process to work for you. Quote of the Day: *Everything you want is on the other side of fear*

    Another informative video. 6 months I suppose depends on mileage, in my opinion. People either don't know or don't care about cleaning their intake if they have direct fuel injection. It cost $200+ at the dealership to have done. But you can do it in your driveway in 15 minutes for less than $30.

      @SweetProjectCars  Před rokem +3

      Exactly doug, so if you are only driving 10 miles a week, this wouldn't apply, I say every 6 months or 6,000 miles. This process is very easy and does indeed save $$. Thank you so much for watching and for the input, we really appreciate it, hope you have a great week my friend. mad Mike the hammer SPC

    I remove mine from the air box first. Its easier to spray off. its only 2 small screws and pulls right out.

    Another awesome TIP for us to keep our cars running good and smooth. I've cleaned mine before, but not in a long time. I will have to clean mine soon and get on a better maintenance schedule. Mike do you have any kind of PDF that list all the regular maintenance items we should be doing on a regular basis? Thanks for making these videos. I always share the info with whomever I can. 😎

    Thanks legend. I did this on my sensor today. Before my car was idling at about 600rpm but jumping a bit to say 800rpm. After i cleaned the sensor it now idles so smooth i thought the car was off. Idles smooth now at about 900rpm. Can’t believe mechanics don’t do this as part of their routine maintenance.

    I'd do it yearly personally, BUT do use upto a 1/4 of the can & never use ANYTHING else! Don't touch the inside,don't scrub it,don't wipe it but do get it properly cleaned from all angles, we all know when anything kicks up a code we gonna spend money getting a scan done,so worth doing folks. I left mine to air dry for 10mins in the sun & all was ok. I'd say check or clean your PCV too with your yearly oil change so you don't forget. Baked on crud is real hard to get rid of.

      You can do it 1yr/2yrs/3yrs if you want, we have just found that in our 40+ years experience, every 6 months or 6,000 miles you need to clean it. Thanks for watching, have a great week my friend. mad Mike

    • @tardeliesmagic

      @@SweetProjectCars Most people with their busy lifestyle especially here in the UK find it hard to do it every 6months... anything at all every 6 months actually lol Yearly is just a more memorable time frame ie with their oil change. I like to change my coolant (Prestone) every 4yrs even though it says "Last upto 10yrs"....why does it say 10yrs on it,CRAZY! Coolant does help the thermostat,water pump,general cooling & any inside corrosion of the engine incl gaskets,leaving coolant inside doed become acidic. 8yrs is too long anyway, that's nuts. Hope my comments didn't annoy you my friend, just passing on info from over the pond. Peace out! ❤🇬🇧
