I'm in 6th grade choir and my teacher told us a story about this song. So ever since my choir teacher has been at my school, which is 3 years, meaning this years 8th grade choir is the first 6th grade choir she's known through all of the years she's been there, we have done this song. Every grade sings it together so its just a mass arrangement of all the choirs. So on the last day of school when the 8th grade choir was in 6th, which was June of 2016(?), everyone was supposed to go to a school wide assembly but they were having technical difficulties so everyone just went to their 2nd period class, which for the now 8th graders was choir. And they were so excited to go cause it was their favorite class, as it is mine, and my choir teacher put on a movie so she could finish packing up her office, since it was the last day of school and she wouldn't be there for a few months. The class turned off her movie and put on this song and stood on the risers and held hands, cause that's the tradition that we do, we get mixed between all the grades, hold hands, and sing this song. So my choir teacher pokes her head out and sees this and shes so moved by the sight. She told us this and I was BALLING. Like this story moved me so much and I really hope the 6th grade choir that I'm in can do this on the last day of school because we really are a family and I've made SO many friends from choir and its just my favorite class and I really want my teacher to leave with a brand new memory of her new choir.

My choir class loves this song so much. We cried at the end. My teacher pick the best song ever. And i really enjoy singing this song. It is so beautiful. S1 is my part. But i love the Second Soprano it is a beautiful piece. But it is really amazing.
The Alto part is so beautiful and easy to learn! I'm proud to sing that part.

We sang this for our fall concert this year(2018) and it was my favorite. It probably was the best one in my opinion. We had the high school(I'm in junior high) help us a little,and it made it amazing. So it was basically all the grades(of the people who were in choir, not exactly ALL of them) were together to create a masterpiece.

OMG! I am singing this in school and we are really good but not as good as this! It is a very difficult song with all the melodies and when you hear the whole thing it IS a very inspirational song just like it says if stand together we will have an awesome concert singing this! Just a few years ago my choir teacher picked this piece for the high school and middle school students to sing together, it was awesome. I am glad to be a soprano. 🎶

I know this was posted 10 years ago but THANK YOU!!!!!!!!! AHHHH! Me and another choir student are associate conductors, and we are helping my choir director teach the rest of the choir this song. In order for this to happen, I have to learn the piano part. I looked on JW Pepper, but they did not have the version that I was looking for. I started to panic, so as a last resort I went onto CZcams. I saw this and was skeptical, but as I listened I noticed that it was the exact same as the piece I had to learn! So now I can learn the piano part easily. Again, thank you! This helped a lot.

I sang this in a middle school select honors choir and then just this past year, the highest select choir at my high school sang it and I wanted to leave the room a) because it was so good and I didn't want to bawl my eyes out and b) I felt offended that I didn't get to sing in that choir. We did this song for our choral concert back in 2011 at Victoria school Edmonton. Still to this day these whole 3-4 minutes gives me chills.

This is one of the first songs I sang when I joined choir as a freshman in high school. The beginning level choir sang it for a competition, and at the time, I knew that this piece would always be important to me. My sophomore and junior years, we sang this at various concerts and performances, and as I moved into the highest level choir my senior year, this song seemed like the best and only way to end the year. We performed it in front of the entire school at an assembly that honored our special education classes. It was so gorgeous and people were moved. Words can't describe how amazing it was to see all of these people being touched by a song that meant so much to me. At our showcase concert that ended the year, and ended my career in high school choir, this is the last song we performed. All of the choirs sang together and the sound and the energy moved all of us seniors who had grown close through choir, and sang this song for the first time together, to tears. Now, after much time has passed and I've moved on to college and other things, this song still means so much to me, especially when I'm going through a rough time. If you are ever blessed with the opportunity to sing this song, let it touch you, like it did me. It's such a great song.
