Wow Nichol! Who knew it could be so easy and cheap to boot to do your own French nails?! I’m like you. As far as I’m concerned French nails are always beautiful and classic. I also love other red and pink colors, nudes, black. But Frenchies are gorgeous also. Thank you so much for the “tips”!
Nikol, I just love you even more! I’m a manicurist (28-years) and I love when you share nail vids! I’ve specialized in natural nails forever when I became allergic to acrylics. The products you selected are all products I’ve either tried, or currently use. Nail tip-Rescue RX by CND is an incredibly good nail strengthener for natural nails. It’s been clinically tested & the results are on the packaging. It’s what I always recommend to clients who have come out of artificial enhancements, especially acrylics or dip powders. Thank you, you’re always on top of the beauty business game. 💕
Where do you get your rescue rx? I’m a licensed nail tech but I don’t think I’ve ever seen it at cosmoprof or salon centric.

Cosmoprof (at least in my area) seems to have very limited CND products. They do carry this product but I’ve seen it at Ulta, Cosmoprof online or Amazon. I’m sure if you have a good online nail supply they might carry it as well.

I recently found you when searching for nail solutions during this Covid shutdown. I was impressed with your video on using the french tips. I did my nails today with all the products you used and I can't believe how well my nails look. So easy, effortless but they look amazing (especially taking off old tips from a now closed salon). Fabulous information! I stopped getting manicures because of the fear of infections. Even though where I was going appeared to do everything right ... you just never know. I just recently found your channel, been binge watching and I love your videos. Honestly, I never thought I would even entertain the idea of not hiding my gray, but you make gray gorgeous and not as scary. Oh, WOW!! Have never tried these white "smiles," but I am going to find some now! I gave up the nail salon visits a few years ago and do my own manicures now, and I always use Seche Vite top coat to dry everything quickly. Love your classy videos.
Thank you for this post! I LOVE THIS! I am on my second week. One tip, I got the thicker wraps so when it was time to redo them I just took off the nail polish, filed down the length and buffed them again and reapplied the nail polish --good as new ---I love that I can get more than one wear out of the wraps!
Does the white part go all the way through the nail? Or can over buffing remove the white part?

I went natural after September 2019, and it really took a while (almost grown out) for the weak part to grow out! I had great nails prior to starting the gel. THIS IS AWESOME!!!!! Thank you!

Yes Yes Yes. I have been doing my nails for several years now. These are perfect and they look just as good as a salon visit, which can take an hour and a half or two, depending on what else is going on in the salon. And talk about a money saver. My gosh. Once you get used to doing your own nails, you will never go back to that dreadful and time consuming salon. Or, that is my take on it. Thank you Nikol. This video was awesome and very informative. Your nails look perfect and no one knows but you, that they are not put on by your favorite salon nail tech. Yes Yes and Yes!!!!
Love French manicures! On hands, as well as my toes! I’ve used “Nailene French Tip Guides” which I got either at Sally’s or Walmart, with my own white that I’m partial to, then top coat (again your choice), and then a drying spray. Perhaps more labor intensive, but very kind to your nails. I don’t like a super-chalky looking white. At the nail salon they term it “American French.” I suppose if you use the Nail Bliss product, you can tone down the white tip with the polish you’ve referenced. I found that when I stopped using nail polish on my fingernails and started just using a buffing cream with a chamois buffer (Sally’s), my nails became healthier than they’ve ever been. I thought I read a long while back, that this is the way Sarah Jessica Parker does her nails. I keep mine buffed, and for a little extra bright nail tip, use the “4-in-1 Nail White Pencil” which I found at Sally’s, applied to the underside of each tip. I’d give the name, but I’ve sharpened past it! Love your videos, Nikol!

Growing up in Miami we always had the French manicure 'look' but with different colors, reds and so forth. I love it! Its a true classic.
Oh Wow... I love it. I haven’t done my nails in 5 years. I don’t even put clear on. My nails get long then I have to cut them down. I just didn’t want to pay all that money anymore, plus I wanted my healthy nails back. But I am going to try this! Thank you.

LOVE the French manicure, just finished it. My only suggestion is to make sure you put polish on right away just like Nikol does in the video. I was in a hurry and didn't and 2 popped off but no problem just replaced them right away with this set.

Perfect timing! I just took off my gel nails because I was tired of the upkeep AND it is so damaging to your actual nail. I am still in the damaged nail grow out period But will give this a shot to make them look even better during this time. Thank you for sharing 💅🏻

WOW I’m going to try this. I also love French nails I stopped getting my nails done around the start of Covid and it took them 2 yrs to look healthy again.
Have never seen or heard of these before! I’m willing to give them a try. I have tried other French nail kits with the stencils and I’ve never gotten them to look good. Plus most nail salons charge extra to do a French manicure so this could really save money. Tfs! ❤️💚💜

I appreciate you and your work so much!! ❤️❤️❤️ I saw your recent video in which you referred to this one and I’ve watched it a number of times! I’d watched it before but hadn’t been successful in finding the nails via mail order so it went on the back burner. Yesterday was the day though! I went to Sally’s and got everything but the hand cream or the nail color (they don’t carry Caudelie or Lipman). I purchased the only box of these nails ($17.99) that they had (I hope they will continue to stock them.) They apparently quit making the thin nails. However, I went to Walmart afterwards for nail polish and noticed thar they had Kiss brand for the same price so that’s an option if the other brand has been discontinued. The simple French nail isn’t “the thing” right now. I agree with you! I love French nails-they are both classic and classy! They will never go out of style if I have anything to do with it. I like that look for toes too yet I haven’t done it in a long time (requires practice and a steady hand!) but I ALWAYS wear polish on my toenails and always have. My mother used to polish them when I was too young to do it myself! I digress… I needed a nail polish similar to the Lipman you used. I bought Essie-the only brand that was translucent at my Walmart. Btw, I checked eBay and Amazon for the thin “smile line” French nails and they had none-“googled” them too but found nothing. They’ve been discontinued too long. The thin ones must not have sold as well-the only reason they would be discontinued. They could be trimmed with a dremel tool if one was determined! I may consider doing that if these are too much. I wish I have found RA long ago and I would have not only saved moeny....but beautiful nails and like you tons of time!! They look great! Check out Colorstreet nail strips as well. Easy to apply and last. They come off easily with nail polish remover.

I'm going to try this way. I always polish my own nails.
I use gelish for years. It does not harm nails, to the contrary, makes them thicker. Comes off easily with a liquid.
Lasts 1-2 weeks. I do it weekly on hands and monthly on the toes.
If I do it myself, I need 45 for a process from a to z. 15 mins to take it off and filing and 15 mins each hand, 3 layers of polish plus top it off.
If my daughter does it for me, its 30 mins, since she can do both my hands in parallel.
Nice nails can make a day.🙂💅☀️

I can't believe I found a video of literally everything I've been doing for 20 + years!
Of course I've upgraded products as they've improved but, I was watching this just smiling! And, I will definitely be trying these as well!
I have naturally long nails, so I paint my tips with Orly White tips french Manicure polish, then use a paint brush and 100% acetone polish remover, Dip that & wipe off on paper towel and then remove excess and shape the curve of my nail tips. Then, I put a coat of Sally Hansen Complete Saloon Manicure Color: Polar Bare #120
Like Nikol, I love the sheer white look instead of pink or beige. Then, and this is thee BEST nail polish top coat finish EVER...It's made my "inm" and called "SOLEIL" it is a heat cured top coat and the awesome part is that when you put it on one hand, you hold your nails, (painted side facing lightbulb)
for 3 minutes and when your done your nails are so hard, bright and beautiful! It has a brighter in it that when compared to your other hand that doesn't have the Soleil on it your white nail tips actually look slightly yellowish/tanish!!
Anyway, then I finish with Sally Hansen 30 second quick dry polish in the red bottle or Essie Super quick dry with Silver Label.
Like I said, I've seriously been doing this for years and years and I've been offered jobs at 2 different nail salons (I went with my daughters when they got their nails dipped when it first became a thing, lol)
and, I'm constantly being complimented every time I check out at stores! lol
( Please, don't think I'm bragging, I'm not)
But, after getting my nails painted once for a job interview and was charged $10 dollars and the polish chipped on 3 nails before the interview, I said
" That's it, I can do this better, cheaper and make it last longer! )
It took a lttlel little trial and error to find just the right products as I'm picky, and like the way French Manicures used to look when getting them done professionally, they always had that hint of slight bluish look after putting your hands in the UV curing light, and that's what you get from the Soliel!
So just in case anyone wants to know, here are the products I use...

Just bought a kit of these tips and wow, wow, WOW!! thank you so much for the fantastic tips!! These were so easy and on my first go I got almost all of them on straight (lol at having to redo a few more than once!!) They're strong, pretty, and look nearly professional (enough to pass every day wear). Unfortunately the Deborah Lippmann color you recommended is no longer available, but I"m experimenting with other colors. So.MUCH.FUN! :)

Love your channel Nikol. I have tried the Kiss Petite nails in the French Manicure and they were wonderful. Very easy to put on but I didn’t put quite enough glue on so they did not last long. Otherwise, the nails looked very real. Thanks for these tips.

Believe which is a dollar general brand actually has a cuticle oil that is amazing! I use it every night! The same brand has a moisturizer primer that I love. Who would have thought!

Incoco nail polish strips are also an amazing product for natural nails. There’s is a little harder to place on shorter nails but doable and they will stay on for at least 10-14 days

They do look beautiful on you 😍 unfortunately but fortunately I have long nails and I also love the French manicure but nail polish alone will not stay on my nails and trust me I've done my research and tried everything. So I get frustrated because not only that but my nails tend to break kinda easily. So I was getting acrylics on and I don't like the damage on my own nails. So I just went and bought a kit to dip my own at home and I started with the French manicure first because I figured if I can do that then the solid colors will be a breeze 😉 and that was the best money I have ever spent! I got the Gelish kit and the great thing about it is that I can use any brand of dipping powder with it! Granted it does take a little longer especially at first than what you have shown us in the video but to someone like me and my nails it's worth it! And my daughter loves her nails polished but she tends to pick it off so I just dipped hers tonight in hot pink and she loves it! So it's definitely a win-win for me! By the way I absolutely love your hair 😍
