Im 73 and three weeks into my new Guitar life! I'm enjoying it. If I have learnt three things on the journey they are:
a) you got to know which strings you are using for a chord... and it might be only two.
b) the tone you get is important and so don't accept sloppiness
c)every time you play it you get a bit better. Always.
Now that is instantly a rock classic to say the very least! Awesome and grateful for yet another lesson as always!

If the chords are too hard, I’m learning just the TAB (strings). Once you get comfy with those, then the chords will be easier!

Does it handicap you at all if you play the intro C5 power chord with the root on the A string, 3rd fret C instead of the E string, 8th fret? That's how I started a few days ago when I started learning the intro. For some reason it felt more "playable" to me.

So I find it easy to mute the top string on the chorus chords until you need to combine 5th fret E with 7th fret A. So I'm talking about the A and G combined power notes.
