I bought it yesterday, and I'm writing this review from this massive tablet. this is so cool. It feels like a tv on my hands actually. screen is super big and the quality is the best. There are lot of cool features. I 'm so happy with my

Had my tab s ultra a week I'm loving it ,my pad Pro has been left on my desk not picked it up since this baby arrived
I'm currently using the Tab S9 Ultra as a laptop replacement for my 2015 Macbook Pro, and so far I'm loving it. This tablet is my go to screen for watching football games on Sundays using the NFL + app. It's also great for Photo editing of Raw files from my Sony a7 IV using Adobe Lightroom.
Planning to use this in the hospital. Being able to wash the tablet would be a great upgrade for me.

Great review, as always, so thanks. As I was watching I was comparing the S9 Ultra with keyboard to my M1 MBP 14 in terms of overall functionality. As attractive as the Ultra is, and it is gorgeous, I couldn't see it fitting into my use case (which of course doesn't apply to anyone but me).

I have a regular Tab S9 while my friend got the Ultra. I love the size for what I use it for (reading, watching shows outside), but every time I see the super giant screen of his tablet and the nice keyboard cover I definitely get a bit of envy.
Not envious of the sheer weight and carrying size of both though!

@@Sauv_27It's cool and all but it's handling is downright awful plus it has a lower ppi because it's resolution is the same as the other two but it's larger. I have one and as much as I love it, just like how a gaming laptop is more so a desktop replacement, the S9 Ultra is like a tablet replacement. It's still an absolutely amazing tablet though and I haven't touch a lot of the other tech I have since I got it.
Looking at getting this table to use for my day to day runing of a trade buisness. do you think that it is capable of replacing a laptop for running our service app and other general buisness usage.
Liking the tablet as i am always mobile and the ip68 ratings will suit my work environment
I only have owned this for maybe two weeks, not long enough. My goal is for a laptop replacement so of course I did buy the $350 keyboard. So far my issue is most of my business apps seem to work better on Microsoft Windows. But I really need to try to make this work (I have reasons to find an alternative to Microsoft laptop). I have a lot of adjustment for my workflow. Struggling with Outlook, Teams, Onedrive, and the big issue= Service Now. It all works but is just different and seems to have trouble rendering certain plugins and the file/ folder system is a problem. I am okay with using a "dropbox" type of folder system (OneDrive)

Yes, that's why I'm on the fence about canceling my S9 Ultra order. It's plenty powerful with its SD8 Gen 2 and all-day battery, but doing your work on Windows is definitely easier and more straightforward than doing your work on Android. Plus, there are stuff you simply can't do on tablets, so "laptop replacement" is a pipe dream in my book. But the order is about $550 after trade-ins and if I cancel my order, that kind of money can only buy a budget friendly laptop. So... I'm on the fence.

Got a question, if you use the s-pen for drawing quite often...how quick does the nib wear off? And do you get additional nibs somewhere?
I have looked for replacements. In the US there are no replacement tips on the Samsung website. I actually tried to buy some as backups and I think I had to actually contact Samsung support. There are 3rd party ones on Amazon. I don’t draw a ton - so mine haven’t worn off, I just wanted backup.

Hello my friend I have a question does the S ultra get heat after playing pub G mobile for a long time. Please I want to buy it but I am waiting your answer.
It’s a good tablet - high quality screen with the 2x AMOLED technology. But reason I’m sticking with iPad Pro gen 6 is stability during gaming. The frame drops on tab s9 ultra after an hour of gaming is obvious.

I have the s9+ version and I have a problem with HDR. Videos for example on youtube do not look like hdr at all, everything is dark and pale. When I turn on the same video on Ipad, MacBook, or Iphone you can immediately see a huge difference. How is it with you guys? Is it a mistake of my copy? Or is it just the way it is?
same for me, especially with VLC and 4 HDR movies, i don't understand how to fix it
My Tab S9 Ultra has the most gorgeous display. It might just be a settings issue maybe?
Try:
Settings > Display > Display Mode
Select vivid instead of natural.
Maybe that fixes your problem? The iPad has a Mini LED Display (basically LCD), which is awesome too; but compared to the Dynamic AMOLED 2x HDR Display on the S9, I like the S9's Display better.

Debating about trading in my regular Tab s8 for this s9 Ultra. Right now Samsung will give me $600 towards the Ultra by trading my Tab s8 in. This would knock the price down to $599.99. Worthy upgrade from that?

Well.double the space and more Ram. Yes, if you decide on keeping it for a few years no if you intend to buy the next Tab 10 ultra.
I have the 1TB version and love the storage, I don't want to deal with SD cards. But if you don't mind using memory cards, I'd save the money. Unless you're doing huge workloads on the tablet, 16 GB of RAM is absolutely not needed, I'd be happy even with 8 GB of RAM but I'm only using the tablet for normal tasks, I'm not rendering videos or unpacking huge ZIP files.
love having this but it is a little large. and i paid alot for it. it also seems to not have great resale value.

It really comes down to personal preference. There’s no question that it’s big - I could not play PUBG on it while holding it up (for very long). Just an example.
No I returned the s9 ultra and got the plus instead it's just the right size however I must warn you that the battery isn't great you'll get around 6 hours

That would be cool. If I were to use one as a reference monitor - I’d probably use the iPad Pro - but I would need to test both with a real reference to give you a definitive answer.

I'm a big believer in using your devices for as long as you can - get the most value out of them. Only upgrade when you really need to.
No you don't need the battery life isn't great on the tab s9 lineup so I'd advise you to stay with your tab s7

I returned this model after a week or two. Its a gorgeous tablet but the screen was entirely too bright it was giving me eye issues. The 8 ultra which i have is bright but just a bit more manageable.

This video is very confusing to me as I have no idea Anything about the tab s8 ultra.
I bought the Ultra and was underwhelmed. I am not convinced there is a sustainable market for this size and much prefer the Tab S9+. That is far more portable and less expensive. I can see why Apple looked into this size and then moved on. I feel 11 or 13 inches are the optimum and the Ultra has only a niche user demand.
I don't agree, I went from the S8+ to S9 Ultra and will never ever go back to a smaller tablet now.

I agree. My only good use for this tablet is waste time by watching music videos or use it as my truck's infotainment display for maps and music. I bought the 350 dollar keyboard and I find it such a waste and also can't return it. I'd rather use a PC lol. I kinda wish I have purchased the much smaller Tab SO.

Does anyone know if the browser gives you the mobile variant or an actual browser experience? Safari isn’t perfect but it gives you a regular browser experience (mostly).

As far as "actual" browser experience, Samsung internet has a bookmarks bar, visible tabs for quick switching, and allows for some add ons, but it isn't a 1:1 browser as you would find on a traditional laptop. If you just need a browser with ad blocker and bookmarks it can do it.
You could install the Kiwi variant of Chromium, which will allow you to run full chrome extensions just like a desktop browser. It's a game changer. You can use it on your phone too...
Tab s9 ultra is like condom; it's big and beautiful, but I may not need it..

Nikon Z7II Camera raw n basic jpg file does not supported by S9 Ultra.. pathetic. It's a just high price Smart Tv in small size.. 😢😢 I regrets buying it . . Procreate doesn't support android. Even you can't edit your photos on the go taken with DSLR. Even you can't copy paste a non support file . Phew. Don't waste your money on this.. if You an artist.. go with iPad. Now m just stuck..
