Sounds like a rowdier, beefier fz07. Love it
It might even be rowdier than my 2023 MT 10 and the thing is pretty rowdy.
@@postersm7141definitely not rowdier than an MT10
@@grega.2755 yeah I just took the MT 10 out yesterday and you’re probably right, it’s pretty darn rowdy lol
You guys should ride a superduke if you've not yet. That, is a rowdy ride.
My Pen is rowdy too
I had the opportunity to testride a Indian FTR1200 once. Made me feel giddy after an hour of pure torque madness. Would definitely buy if I had the money!
Bro, if you want this beauty think it like this.....
Save per check a specific amount within the next 5 years and Forget about it and when you get the money or enough go and get it.
You definitely wouldnt regret it.
So how much does it cost this beauty, that it takes about 5 years to save
Thanks for the comment 👍
Pure torque my ass. Adding in its extra weight and it has no better torque than a Gsxs1000, MT09, MT10, or Z900.. it has less. I rented a FTR and was astounded by how bad it was for the price. Mediocre powerplant with tons of terrible engineering (fuel tank and mirror mounts come to mind)and an insane asking price.
Mt10's definitely sound good and are probably cheaper
@@mustang32758mt10 is way more fun

Oh yes 😍😍 Just what I was thinking.
I was looking for this comment. Those Austrians aren't playing around!
Went to a dealership to look at bikes for someone else. Sat on one of these and thought. Light, 1200cc.....hm, maybe my next bike.
That thing is heavy as shit 😅
that is probably the heaviest naked bike ever made, if we're talking about up-scale range of bikes.
Light?
Don’t even make sense light and Indiana don’t ever belong in the same sentence
Picked mine up less than two weeks ago, already have close to 700 miles on it, did my first oil change after 500. For reference, I am 5’9” 145 and the weight isn’t that bad. It feels so balanced and low to the ground. And of course, the minute you start rolling, the weight disappears. Only time you’ll feel it (especially being a smaller guy) is when you’re moving the bike around the garage. It’s my 6th and favorite bike I have ever owned. They truly knocked it out of the park with this one (2023 FTR Carbon R)
Damn it, I had forgot how badly I wanted an FTR, why did you do this too me
😂😂 you’re welcome

Yeah. I know that feeling. Almost had one a couple years ago. Maybe I’ll try again here in the spring. I love these bikes. The way they look and sound.

"Best V-Twin on the Market"
**Ducati has entered the chat**
For real, I test rode the FTR1200 Carbon and I didn't like it at all. The engine is way too tame and smooth like a KTM 1290 but without the power, and it hated leaning over, but I blame that last one on the tires being made for flat track racing, not leaning through corners. I found my Monster 821 to be way more fun and then I replaced it in December with a Streetfighter V2 which exceeded the already high expectation the Monster set for me.
Not shitting on the people who like the FTR1200, everyone wants something different out of their bike. I want wild and rough, others want smooth.
Ducati really doesnt have anything on this bike, since theyre pretty god awfully ugly nowadays.

Back in Black 🖤
I bought a new 2022 FTR-S. It comes from the factory with Akrapovic Titanium cannisters on it so I bought a Titanium headpipe to match the canisters. I put a K & N air filter on and a tune with the Dynojet Power Vision 3 tuner I bought specifically for my bike. I left the baffles in the canisters so it's quiet (but it runs great for a 1203 cc V-Twin). 👍
So dam clean
Thanks bro

Well maybe those bike destroy the Indian but remember u will have less eye on you because it doesn't have that unique look with old and modern mixed together.
I'd rather go with the Indian than a MT10 or whatever are on the list for the same price.
Sometimes it's not about the speed and that. With the look it comes with a price same with the brand.
Someone who knows 💯👌😂
In 2015 i bought a fz07 over suzukis gsx s750. Why because of fit and finish and my fz07 would've been destroyed in a drag race against that thing. There's more to life than flat out speed.

180 lbs too heavy... But it sounds pretty good... Good stuff, thanks for posting.
In the powerband, you can actually feel the switch from torque to horsepower. Thing is a BEAST. And this is coming from a guy who rides a gsxr1000
They don't switch, all horsepower is made up of torque per unit of time lol
@@christianhodges685 if you rode the bike you would understand what I mean
🧢. This bike makes no more torque than the gsxr and weighs more. Even a gsxs will pull away from it easily. I did ride it. After obsessing over one for a while I rented one from Music City Indian. It was so mediocre, way over priced, and had the worst engineered gas tank for refueling I have ever seen, not to mention the famous Indian mirror mounts that always come loose from the wind.
@@TheAsheybabe89 I didn't say it was faster than the gsxr1.
What I meant was, that it is leaps and bounds faster than Harley type bikes
@@TheAsheybabe89 oh and it probably has more torque, definitely feels like it. But definitely way less HP than a Jap literbike
I googled it. I'm correct
This bike is so powerful, stronger than the VTR Superhawk I had. It’s very well balanced as well, fun to ride.

I owned and RC8 and an RC8R at tye same time. Great bikes, big difference between the two back to back.
The FTR is a great bike though, as its not a cruiser.
Maaaan she’s gorgeous
Squeeze clutch and rev when downshifting sounds so much better
This should be the best 😂😂😂😂. I think you have never seen a Ducati 900 SS or a Ducati Panigale
Spot on - FTR is far from the best
My 1999 Ducati Supersport 900 with the Ducati Performance exhaust system sounded amazing. My 2006 Ducati Monster 620 sounded great as well with its Termignoni exhaust. I currently ride a 2023 2nd gen Ducati Scrambler Icon with a Termignoni exhaust and honestly it doesn't have the same oomph. I'm thinking because it's a 2 into 1 and not a dual exhaust like my previous 2.
I guess you have never seen a 1390 KTM superduke
this gives me awsome feelings i can't explain
The FTR1200 is an absolute beauty!!
One of the coolest American bikes. Probably the coolest still in production
The buell super cruiser is pretty gnarly
@@ellisthornton8858
Buell is my fave but they're always trading owners and not always in business
The Buell super cruiser isn't even a real bike at this point. It's a one off project that will be extremely expensive if/when it makes it to market. The 1190 is a $22-25k bike depending on the specs and the super cruiser will be MUCH more expensive.
@@jonnymac8925 one can dream.
@@jonnymac8925 it's real
You could buy 1190 under 20k new.
And it would be an actual naked bike, 40 kg lighter, 65 hp more, can turn and brake, unlke this one.
And it's time more rare.
Thank You Almighty God I will buy one for myself
Damn this shit that deep
Haha DO IT!
The FTR is a beast
What a badass bike 😍
Ftr is a nice bike but the BEST V twin is the superduke. Not saying that just because I have one. I have a gen3 full electronic suspension with 180hp 103tq. I get 170 per tank.(on average !! if I’m really hard on her 120ish) seating position is really comfortable.
Yes I have been on the Ftr for over 1100 miles and like I said it IS a nice bike but there is a few reasons I went for the duke. More power, more comfort and better fuel range.
I second this the ftr is a great bike but it’s not a superduke
@@billcurtis1591 Not the FTR nor the Superduke compares to the Harley Street 750

This FTR looks and sounds phenomenal, but unless you’ve ridden a Superduke…
I have a 2021 superduke and only get 120 miles from a tank if I am lucky. It has the akra system and mapping. And will keep up with litre bikes everywhere except the final third of a straight. So much character as well. I love it. I would also love a tuono v4 as they sound amazing and handle super well.

My Buell XB12 Lightning was black and gold like that. It could do a burnout starting in 5th gear it had so much torque.
Yeah I have an XB9 lightning, they are fun bikes
It's not doing burnouts in 5th gear bro.
@@jaytizzle6652 Maybe you misunderstood. I didn't say when I shifted into fifth it did a burnout. From dead stop. I shift into 5th gear and run up to about 3500 and let the clutch out and it burns out and the rear wheel hits about 85 MPH. Try to do that with an inline 4 and you would probably have to rev to about 10K and I wouldn't want to be standing in front of you when you let the clutch out. The front brake disc on a Buell works better than most dual disc setup. I don't own the bike any more as I don't need to have a triple digit HP bike at 60. I ride my vintage RD400 which is good enough for me.
