Excellent presentation as usual and the robot remarks were funny.
When people speak like a robot, I go crazy inside..... time, space and meaning
suddenly seem to evaporate...a black hole of emptiness avails about them.
Rhythm in the English language is its very essence, the "music" as it were.
The matter has inspired me to write a poem :
    ROBOTONE
    Robot once... robot twice
lack o' feel ...evinced by thrice
A spoke of speak...halted by leaping..
    ..a broken bucking...a barking beaking
Deafening and dumbing as a mindless drubbing..
    ..sparkless speckles behind the strumming
A cadence not dear, a monotone cheer..
    ...a hollow here...a tasteless beer...
    .......a can of clear

Another reason why it’s hard to understand spanish is because.....
You were taught Spanish in 100% grammar, but natives don’t use grammar at all.
English Learner: Hello, last week I had an amazing experience at the Ball Park. We ate pizza and corn dogs, it was an amazing experience.
Native English speaker: Yo wuzzup cuz! Haha 😚😛 What a surly DAMN good time, right famm? you know what, I am saying? Them corn dogs and pizza were lit! I enjoyed our time

Normally you learn to understand the IPA transcript when you study English, because they feature the transcript in dictionaries for the very reason that English spelling doesn't match pronunciation. It also marks the emphasis.
