  • Showing you how to quickly fill out the forms needed in order to buy and sell a car without a title. I go over the information quickly, but I have already highlighted the areas in which you need to fill out on all the forms if you are either buying or selling a car without a title. My previous video goes over how to fill these forms out in detail. It is an easy process to buy a car without a title and sell a car without a title. You can print all these forms off the dmv website easily and you either send them in by mail or take them into the dmv.

    Hi, I sold a car in June of this year to a gal with a bill of sale and a release of liability, pink was absent as I had forgotten it. Fast forward to two days ago the girl's boyfriend texts me asking for pink slip right before the smog certificate expires. Now I am panicking looking for the pink slip that I had less than a week ago is missing. This form is the correct option and would be a stand in for transfer of title so smog would not expire, correct? I already paid their registration for them so I do not want to pay any more money for a car that is not mine any longer. I still have my registration card and the stub of the release of liability, they said DMV would not let them file any of the other paperwork without the pink, would that be correct?

The buyer did get the seller to sign REG227 but for sure the DMV lady was so rushed she forgot to tell me this part and I have absolutely no clue and I do not want to go to the DMV more than 3-4 times for a piece of paper I can print out.

    Hi, thank you so much for your video. It is super helpful. Regarding to transfer of ownership, I have a question. I started the process of transfer of ownership last August. According to DMV's request, I already paid tax and mailed the pink-slip to the address which DMV requested to me a month ago. At that time, I got a notification from mail company showing that the mail was delivered to the address. However, the DMV system continuously shows "they are waiting for the pink-slip". Honestly, at this point, I believe they lost my document. In this situation, could you let me know what I should do to solve the issue and complete the transfer of ownership successfully? Do I have to apply for duplicate or paperless title with REG 227B form ?

    Used when the vehicle is obtained from a family member". The new owner (buyer) completes the REG 256." So is this form not necessary if you sell to a non-family member? Just to clarify, I as seller will sign the REG 227 (selling without original title) and hand it over to buyer (my boyfriend's aunt) w/smog certificate to file with DMV? I got a great deal on a car recently. Confused though because within the last 3 months I see signatures from 3 different owners. This car literally got tossed around. Anyway the last owner gave me all the things but the only real thing I signed was a receipt. The pink is filled out from three owners ago, the bill of sale is fron the owner I just bought is from two owners ago. I feel like something is really messed up here. I have all documents but idk what to say at the DMV.

    I am looking to buy a car here in California and ship it to Philadelphia to do my paperwork and tittle transfer there. Due to COVID, the dmv of California is requiring tittle tranfers to be done online. The seller claims he’s done his tittle transfer online about 2 weeks ago and still hasn’t received the tittle under his name.
    My first concern is that i will be needing the tittle because i want to have the vehicle shipped to Philadelphia, also registered and tittled in Philadelphia, So will the REG 277 form help with that or is there a specific way i need to go about handling this situation? Or do We need to file a specific form from the Pennsylvania Dmv?
    My second and last concern is since he does not have the tittle how can i verify that the car is his? Since he will be signing the REG 277 form to me
    Thank you

    • @DaylyDriverDayly
      @DaylyDriverDayly  Před 4 lety

      the best advice I could give you would be to go to aaa if you or the seller has it, or dmv to verify the title is being transferred to him and ask them what you need to do in order to properly transfer the title into your name and have it registered in another state. i am not familiar with Pennsylvania state laws in regards to this. I would contact Pennsylvania state dmv or aaa office as well to get more information regarding your situation. wish I could help out more. best of luck and hope you get it worked out

    Hi I’m in Georgia I bought a car with a Lien from a private seller for 1600. He said it was 1100 to pay of the loan. And he said he paid of the loan. I got the bill of sale but still don’t have the title . What do I do moving forward?

    • @DaylyDriverDayly
      @DaylyDriverDayly  Před 5 lety

      that's a touchy situation because you dont have the payoff paperwork showing how much exactly is owed on the lien in order to transfer the title into your name do you? secondly, there could be multiple liens on the car or a lot more money owed on the lien than what the seller told you. if I were you I would go to your local dmv office to find out more information regarding the vehicle lien status because they will be able to provide you more information than I can give you at this point. I hope this helps you out a bit. sorry I cant give you more information. nest of luck. I hope you can get the title to the car👌👌

    How do i check if everything is legit ?

    Does the seller need to turn in the forms,?
    The statement and facts does the owner fill it out and turn into the dmv or can just have him sing it and i turn it in my self at the dmv?

      glad your little brother got a car but not the best of situations to be in. I would suggest going to aaa auto if you have them since it is easy to get in and out with their dmv services to see what they can do to help you or go to dmv to see what they can do. you wont be able to do much if the person you got it from gave you a faulty bill of sale. you may be stuck with a car you cant get registered worst case scenario
