So it's a Starfleet style refit. It's the same sub, but longer, larger, taller, with a different internal layout, different weapons, different propulsion, different viewing elements.
Pretty much. And it has a short-range instant-kill weapon like the Romulan bird-of-prey did.
This submarine is starting to remind me of an axolotl, which is really fitting considering the lightning cannon you've strapped to its boop snoot

Lathland you only need 1 block width for the barrel you just need to leave a small gap to do the pistons turret and could use Pistones and stuff to move armor over and under the top of the gun

Hey Lath, I know you haven’t played Nimbatus in a while, but could you please upload a few of your more complex drones onto the steam workshop? That would let other people download and use them. I think a lot of your fans would appreciate that!
Nimbatus is one of the games where copying designs just by looking at them is quite easy

@@miltoska9708 Well, some of his drones are quite big and complex, so it’s very hard (sometimes impossible) to copy the connections and logic gates. Uploading a drone to the workshop is extremely easy, you just press a button in game and the drone is up for all to use. Some of his larger creations like the satelite protector and the orbital planet destroyer would be very fun to modify or adapt into new drones. All I’m saying is it would be a very simple action and would save a lot of people a lot of time manually recreating (or creating) huge monstrosities.

One of the extremely massive missiles on the underbelly of the submarine, the missile isn’t a missile, its an extremely large and probably excessive, torpedo. Oh it’s a space craft now I think, still orbital torpedos sound pretty fun

Also, thing you might do anything with sub craft? Having a little friend might help with diversifying the weaponry you have with out overcomplicating your sub even more. :)
According to the wiki the limit is per 'arm'. So, I believe you can do 5 1000m arms?
I saw the opening cannon shot, and instantly liked.
I like how with the colours and the overall shape it reminds me of a cruise ship. But rather than being a luxurious submarine cruiser it's a deadly beast with a 1000m long particle cannon that can obliterate most of the ships thrown at it
Watch 17 minutes of an increasingly delirious and deranged Lathland going to greater and greater lengths of chaotic design principles, while getting more and more sleep deprived and disordered.
Cuts to a genuinely loopy sounding Lathland almost giggling to himself, and the submarine is in space.

For the turrets, I'd like to see a few shorter barreled cannons that tilt upwards 90 degrees as they descend into the hull.
that'd both look good and if done right would allow more powerful guns to sit inside the hull without wasting space.

Putting passive sensors and trackers on the periscope works wonders. Laser targeters, rangefinders, IR cameras and passive radar with retro-reflection sensors. That way you can still be Ninja but get really acurate info.

Its has (personally) the BEST modding support and it has a big campaign, sandbox, multiplayer and custom worlds that have survival separate from the campaign so you dont have to complete it in order to get all the items an buildings. Seem good to you?

just to say, but i think that factorio has the best modding support, with an entire site/portal made by the devs for mods, and even just a place to download mods in the gameitself like an integrated mod manager, but still mindustry is good so +1

I would enjoy some tutorials on the seemingly basic parts of building crafts. I can build sexy looking ships with 3 layers of metal and a spaced layer and they are almost invulnerable... except when the brick of a turret somehow explodes, the ship starts to tilt for nor reason, or it just eventually yaws forward just enough to propel itself into the sea and never returns.
Maybe a very in-depth walkthrough of one of your general warships so we can get a feel of your armor method and your usage of space?

This is starting to remind me of I-401 from Arpeggio of Blue Steel. Having the hull open in the same way would be impressive if not entirely practical.
4:52 the way I dealt with that is having a barrel that can go up almost 90 degrees and having it be idle at 90 degrees, so that when turret is inside the sub you have just the barrel sticking out of the top, and then doors open and whole turret comes out of the sub and barrel comes down to fire

The recording software crashed upon seeing the -madness- brilliance of Lathrix turning a Submarine into a Spaceship and then reverting it back to a Sub made my day.

It may be (will be!) a bit wonky, but I think the small props on the fins of the sub should be turned into azipods. That way they give better yaw authority. With a spinal-mount weapon, the ability to turn and point at the enemy is critical.

You can build a long range lens with *4x1km* long tubes
You can choose the asymmetric one and have 5x1km long tubes, I've done this myself, and it does so much damage.
