20 years since Greg Murphy's famous lap of the gods. Hard to top that's for sure. Geez I still remember that infamous redress moment from a few years ago and mark skaife's reaction in commentary said it all. Can't forget the one two win from the 888 racing commodores with skaife and Lowndes in the winning car and the sister car closely behind. Brilliant moments. Svg delivering the final Bathurst win for Holden was the standout.
People may have gone quicker since but Murphs lap can’t be beaten when you consider how far ahead he was from the next car, and he missed a gear

Supercars have seen a DRAMATIC decline in viewers and support in 2023 compared to previous years.. these new cars are really letting the sport down and they know this
basically since 2017 or so it was an opel, it was just the plate tbh

@@nhraandnascarfanatic5907saying Supercars have been in a massive decline in viewers with gen 3 is like saying that NASCAR has been in a rapid decline in viewers ever since the wrecker (Dale Earnhardt sr.) died.
Also, when I want to Wanneroo Raceway this year the amount of people was in the thousands, and that’s just in person. I reckon Bathurst will be the same 150,000+ in-person viewers like it was last year again.
Supercars have lost supporters by selling their soul to the pay tv godz….. their supporters are blue collar and not all can afford to buy a subscription just for this…
