- In our latest video buying guide we look at the Triumph Daytona 675. The 675 put the Hinckley firm back on the shortlist of many UK sports motorcycle riders.
We said that "silky, compact handling, allied to kick-ass engine power and a howling exhaust note, make the Triumph Daytona 675 a real winner on the road, or track."

And still in 2023 this is one of the best looking bikes 😂
These still look fresh and modern even by today's standards. Fantastic bikes.
Hey, I'm 6'5" too and I sat on one and it felt great. Our body's dimensions might be different, but I have a 36x36" pant size and although the bike felt small, I felt safe and comfortable while I was on it.
If you sit on some bikes and find out about riding ergonomics and technique then I think you will be able to make the right decision for yourself.
An S1000RR is a great bike, too - it just depends on the purpose and the style you choose to ride.
This bike is great, i have it second hand ( 4 weeks now) with upgrades and i love it, i have ridden it three times now and it feels great.REALLY good punch of acceleration. i can compare it only with a old cbr600 i have ridden ( '2000). looks great. handles great and has a nice sound too. it's my first bike, . i bought the bike in advance and was a little bit scared of it because i read lots of it before driving her and many many people say it's no beginers bike. i drive with my head so no pro
Love that these ones still exist🤘🏼
I have one. It's a hard ride on anything less than smooth.. Gets out of shape if your not careful putting power down on a bumpy road. A young man's machine really. Sounds amazing, it's like an RD350LC. Many end up on ebay in bits because people can't handle them on the road. It's a track bike really. It won't do speed limits. Not a relaxing bike. Every opportunity to open it up is what it likes. I've had it 4 months and been to Belgium with luggage on the tank and pillion seat. In a group you can restrain it but on your own it's a different animal.
You sound like an old fart
I love my 07 Daytona got some sweet videos of it so much fun in the corners
Hi, i will check it next time i drive it.
will keep you updated
drive safe
Looks like the perfect bike for me. I shall paint her grey and name her Sasha.
+snipes503 so it gonna be saha grey
yes
snipes503 😂
I'm 5.8" and have no problems on this bike, it's crap around town though, tall first gear and snatchy low speed throttle, means slipping the clutch and jerking round tight corners, small roundabouts etc. Seriously fun to ride on country roads and dual carriageways, light nice amounts of torque and a whip in its tail at 10000-12000 rpm. Very addictive on a race pipe!
batfink134 why are you staring your height? 5ft8 is a good size for bikes. I'm 6ft4 which makes it impossible for me to find a fitting bike
Maxwise Ganjee go for a gsxr I've owned one before I'm about 5"8 and it was so comfortable
@rippedandpumped I'm a shade under 5'10" and I have no problems standing flat footed. My 2010 Daytona 675SE is a dedicated track bike with numerous upgrades targeted at track riding. The latest is the Bazzaz traction control unit!
Hi MCN!
As you mentioned tyres on this bike: Could you do a video about the right tyre-choice for some different kinds of riding? Would be nice to watch!
Best regards and thanks for your videos
@Z7Vlogger I have a jardine full system setup and it sounds a lot deeper than the stock. I think the 2011's pipes look great b/c they added carbon fiber to them but the stock still sounds a bit whiney.
@rippedandpumped i think you be ok i am 5.10/11 ft and fit just about perfectly, you can also buy a lowered seat and you can also got some lowering links for the suspension but i think you just be right anyway.
what would be better for everyday riding, 675 or 675r
thanks
There are better suited tyres than Pirelli SC's for everyday, all weather road riding. They have narrow operating temp range and fast rate of wear. Got Metzeler M5's on my '13 d675. As great as they are I hear the M7rr's are even better.
hi again
i looked for the vibrating mirrors and they aren't vibrating.
the motorcycle you're driving is the one i had my lessons with the driving school.
not to bad to say. one thing i found annoying was that there was no deflecting schield, so driving 120Km or faster was a pain to say atleast, and the noise at that speed was terrable, very very noisy engine to say atleast. other than that, it was a fun moto for traffic and some punch it has. good cornering and good steer.still prefer my daytona
Hi, first of all Belgium rules, i live there too :) ! besides this, i'm 19 years old and just got my motorcycle permit(
Just bought an 2007. LOVE IT!!! Huge upgrade from the 1991 CBR. LOL
Hey. I was wondering how did the bike hold up?
i have a gsxr right now and im thinking about buying a 675 already.
There a nearly the same bike the riding position is the same etc. but if your not going onto the track you might as well buy the standard model. the R model got more race gear like ohions suspension and brembo brakes carbon fibre different colour scheme
How would a person 192cm tall feel on the Daytona?
zijn die daytona's
how are this bikes for the city ?
Ik denk dat je dit bij je lokale dealer kan vragen, normaal gezien is dit wel mogelijk. Als je hem nieuw koopt uiteraard, anders moet je hem toeknijpen en opnieuw laten registreren als
forgot to mention the Rectifier/Regulator recall that effected a good number of bike from 2006-2009 (Think it may be a US issue only which might be why he did not know of it).. www.asphaltandrubber.com/recall/triumph-street-triple-r-daytona-675-recall/
hi peoplem dont mind if i give u some infos? i work in Hinkley in Triunph and guess waht, new 675 is coming out soon, it looks great! itwill have 6 hp more than older one(more less), pirelli tyres, brembo brakes it standart version with abs and it has ohlins suspension too! the R version will have brembo breake reserviour, and there is some sexy version too but i dontknow nothing about it! new verion is coming out in about september :) it looks great! and it will have red seat frame :)
Gorgeous bike
is this a review or a buying guide??? XD
again, nothing specific to look out for...... so much for some advice
No problems
oh and this guy bad ass bike at the touch of her face and in Brazil the most skilled in the degree
Triumph moved the golf posts did they?
Amazing bike. Im 5ft10in would I fit relatively comfortably on this bike?
I'm 6'3' my 2009 fits me perfect
@@wmcbarker4155 he needed it 6 years ago but...u delivered
@@wmcbarker4155 hi, if you don't mind me responding to your answer. Do you still have the Daytona? I'm looking to buy my first one, but can't decide on a 2012 or 2015 version. I've heard the newer version is a little more comfortable on wrists etc & maybe handle slightly better, I'm 6ft1 myself & coming from a 1997 ZX-7R, which just became too heavy to push around.
Thanks, any advice welcome.
im 5'9 would i be on tip toes? the nearest dealership with a daytona is 2 hours away so cant sit on one to see for myself i'm afraid. thanks in advance to anyone who can help:)
Love my 07
How tall was the reporter doing the review?
im thinking about buying a one, 2006-2008. It has around 35k miles, should I be worried about anything?
If the gearbox feels good on high rev shifts i think you dont have to worry. Engine is pretty reliable.
Not sure what the point in a buying guide video is if all that's said is "nothing special to look out for". Virtually exactly the same thing was said on the Speed Triple Buying Guide video.
I got a 2010 R6 as a beg. Just dont twist the throttle so hard in 1st,2nd,or 3rd and you will be fine.
Just check if the daytona whistles properly. Done ✅
You would be hard pressed to sell yours for 5000$ (3000 pounds) in the us. It was impossible to sell mine. A guy came down from canada to buy mine. Mine was fairly mint.
you'll be fine. my mate who's a little taller than you has ridden mine and thinks it's fine.
bhp=british horse power? :D
Break horse power
2008 plater
I LOVE THIS BIKE 😍😍😍😍😍❤️
#proud675owner
get the 675R!
the 2012 R version is soo god dam sexy as soon as im off ofthis stupid 33bhp restricted licence i am heading to the nearest dealer
@89Design For racing buy slicks. For sports riding buy sports. For sports/touring buy sports/touring tyres. For touring buy touring. See, it's easy.
Are you near sawtry lol
what language are you speaking ?
Only thing I dont like is its thin and Im big.
selling your 2012 Daytona for 3990. Scam much? haha. it must be wrecked or something.
@speedemonhahahaha For a start, take the japanese bikes, they are mass produced to suit literally every need they have hundred of people working for them and they are HUGE companies, u dont see many triumphs yes, because they are a small company, i dont think ive ever seen an advert on tv for a triumph however ive seen honda adverts and the like. And just becuase you dont see many doesnt make them a disgrace and unoriginal, take mv augusta, u never see them and they are brilliant bikes!
If your 6,2 you look crazy on most today's sport bikes, why oh why do manufactures make them smaller. Not great for tall people
MCN need to stop calling these little filler bits "buying guides". Service history, low mileage and looks clean; you say that every time! You don't even want to look at prices! That said, the einfo that comes from some of the mechanicl savy people watching IS a lot of help. I wonder if people will let me borrow their bikes if I want to make some of these?!
AGAIN THESE TRIPLES YOU FORGOT TO MENTION ALL LEVELS!! These 675 engines use alot of oil naturally (more so the d675 than the street) and again many people don't realise it! Check oil levels!!
British reviewers always pump up the value of their british brands. I like the styling, but it's not really as good (performant) as the competition.. and this )recent) model is outdated... a new one is coming and I hope it proves me wrong.. :)
@TERMINATORX4444
You're wasting your time with him. He's being commenting on a lot of videos on CZcams, and he's obviously a biased Ducati fanyboy that probably doesn't own either bike.
Just traded my cbr 600rr for this bike. I wish I'd kept my 600rr
Why?
Jenkins Bradbury it didn't have the power my rr had. I took it to shop for a full tune up and now damn this bike flies. Glad I traded.
@@kgman161 that is what Confuse me , 2 very similar spec bike cbr 600rr 2005 or a 2006 daytona 675 , came to my mind , hard to pick which one is better
@@enjoy87mx I have a Ninja H2 now. Actually just got it for Christmas from my wife.
What about the R/R recall? That is a huge problem with the 675... Video fail!
HighTech Bryan video released 2011, before the r even came out.
@@adamcraig8253 hes on about the Reg/Rec failing
Just waving hands and blah blah blah. Bollocks review
S1000RR
lol. BHP at the wheel? noob.
still crap sound...if you can not fix that... why buy a britt bike
