  • The Goanna Stretcher from Oztent is known for being a sturdy, durable and comfortable place to snooze on every night on your touring adventures.
It’s made from a durable 600D padded polyester material, features a robust powder coated steel frame, and it has a 150kg weight rating. It also comes with a carry bag which makes it easy to transport to and from the campsite.
In this video, our gear guru Ben gives us a rundown on this nifty stretcher. He tells us the dimensions and specs, how to set it up, the trick for getting the end poles on, what user height this stretcher would suit, as well as how to pack it down into its included carry bag.

If you demonstrate a stretcher, you could at least lay on it. Does it sink down?

This is an older video, Possibly OT, we do lay on the stretcher when we shoot new videos. ~ Ben

It does sink down a little bit but by my standards isn’t bad.

Greetings Snowys Outdoors. Is this stretcher susceptible to bending if one sits on the side bars?

    • @SnowysOutdoors

Similar reply to your other comment - its super common for people to sit on the edge of their stretchers for putting shoes on, etc
We've never had feedback on stretcher sides bending, so you should be ok!

Can you fit two of these in an RV3?

Just, but it will be tight. Check out our RV3 video here where I put a King Goanna stretcher inside, it will give you a good idea - czcams.com/video/3Izp6U8CkWI/video.html. ~ Ben

They wobble a little bit, mozzy747, but it shouldn't be excessive. Give us a call on 1300 914 007 if you think your is faulty. ~ Ben

Looks good but I don;t like the plastic clips for the stretcher bars, I can see then snapping at some stage, deal breaker for me

    • @SnowysOutdoors

Fair enough, Zane, I guess those plastic ends could appear to be a weak point. This isn't a problem we have had with these stretchers though, so please don't let this sway your decision if you're happy with everything else the stretcher offers.

Zane I’ve had two of these stretchers for over 4yrs and been used on multiple trips. Nothing has broken even the Velcro straps have held together.

Zane. I can also confirm the plastic clips do not break. I've owned one of these same types of stretchers for more than 6 years, have used it many many hundreds of times, nothing has broken or torn & it still functions as good as new.
