I got a GP Racing/Honda 125cc shifter kart with and Extreme Kart Racing top end.....I am speechless! Note: I do not drive this on the road. One time deal to test this thing out! (filmed on private road)

Weld a 3/4" nut on the outside of the wheel and use a 18v Impact drill with said socket size to start her up
A rope is Way handier than a drill if you kill it on road
Or just push start it like a usual shifter kart
It really is THAT CRAZY. This thing is unbelievably fast! If you have never had the opportunity to take one for a spin, I highly recommend it.

Even racing these things on track, people never put heat shields on the expansion chambers. Not sure why, because karting suits offer no heat protection and are just there to protect from abrasion should you get thrown out.

I love rides like this, where you are too scared to get on it YET you end up rowwing through the gears and being mind blown everytime! That CR125 engine is definitely very far from stock, listen to the way the power hits in the top rpm, man!

Ben Dover ya that exhaust should have been wrapped but the placement is necessary because 2 strokes need expansion chambers like that and it is probably a tuned pipe

Lain Kojima Shifter karts flip very easily, especially a slimmer design like this one. Also riding that low to the ground makes it feel like you are going around 20+ mph faster than you actually are.

Oh man, I've ridden TAG karts on several occasions but just now finally got my own kart, a 125 shifter. A couple days ago I was watching your video and was like "yeah it's fast, but he's probably overreacting" but boy was I wrong... I just test rode mine for the first time and fuck, I wasn't even able to hit 4th without wearing a diaper. These things are absolute MONSTERS! Ima go have a beer now.
I know that feeling,a little while ago i was pretty comfortable with my own Rotax kart, Up until one day my dad tells me he just got a tony shifter kart. Says it's probably too fast for me. Of course i had to prove him wrong. He forgot to tell me it was tuned to 50 hp.

The way the pipe is next to your leg is sketchy, but that is how they are supposed to be the way that the 125 engines are placed to maintain proper back pressure. typically you are also wearing a fire resistant suit, plus even though it is close, you'd be supprised of how well the seat keeps you in.

chunk less this is a 125cc shifter kart. its a motorcycle engine, but they took out the kickstart, so to start it you have to have someone push you, and you slap it into 1st gear to get it going. or you can do what he did (which is actually very useful if your alone and have no one to push you)

Yes it is a speedometer, tachometer, lap counter & timer, and it measures the temperature of the engine. If you really wanted to go all out with the setup, you can buy a GPS that plugs into to the gauge and gives you information regarding track position, g-forces, throttle position, braking, and much more.

It has one thats automatically engaged by the shift lever so you dont need to press it for shifting.
And for starting you have neutral.
So you start it in neutral shift into first and it drives.

Over 20 years ago I ran Yamaha Heavy. I tried a shifter kart (125) and my reaction was the same: Holy shit!!!
Yes its a hand clutch on the steering wheel the only time you use it is to put it in gear for first gear or nutural then you power shift with no clutch

Ditch that filter for a Honda CR 125 Airbox, you'll spend less money on rebuilds in the long run, you should have a drive in the 250cc Gearboxed karts, some are capable of approx 160mph on the right track with the right gearing, THEY are insane, these are still good for 100mph tho!
I race karts. Take out the bar in the back. Not your rear bumper, but the thing just behind that. That will make it much Nicer to drive.

Why don't these karts have an undertray with a diffuser or Venturi tunnels of some sort? I think it would give you a lot more confidence if you knew it would stay glued to the road.
Well I thought that was good. Certainly goes well and I think a lot of people would have a similar reaction especially coming from a higher up bike and getting closer to the ground.

I drive a x30 125cc with the senior header on and I thought I was fast until I was out accelerated by a shifter.
Probably needs to have an exhaust guard or that you re-route the pipes to the rear to eliminate that thing we call a 3rd degree burn, LOL.
Hey i got a Trick to get you into neutral. The best way to get a manual trany into neutral is to rock for front to back, in order to turn the the gears a lil bit. And then just time it right AND SHIFT IN BETWEEN THE KART GETING STOP BY THE POWERTRAIN FROM ALL THE WAY FORWARD AND ALL THE WAY BACK., SHIFT! and sry i just reallized i was cap lock.
