IMF Coffee Roaster V's Standard Drum Roaster

Here's another video explaining just a little bit more about the IMF Coffee Roaster which we use and how it compares to a more traditional style drum roaster such as the Roastmax featured here. As Luke explains in the video the major points of difference are how heat is transferred through to roast the coffee beans and also how that heat is controlled.

What's the good and bad of both roasters? In term of the final product

The development of the bean is far more even and a bigger bloom from the imf. The airflow in the imf can really get acidity, in many intensity levels, you just need to tame this if your not after acidity in the end roast profile
