Dear Vikas, after the configuration of HA, in case of one host down the machine will automatically restart on other available host. what if the host is available again after an hour? the VMs automatically shifted again to the host or we have to manually migrate VMs to previous host?. Note we do not use DRS.
Yes, If you enable HA on Cluster. If host goes failed VM or VMs will be restarted to other host automatically. Yes, If you enable DRS on Cluster. It will automatically distribute your VMs on all available hosts on Cluster itself.
In case of a failure of a host... the failed vm will be restarted not moved or migrated to another survived host in the HA cluster. Migration / Moving is very different then than restarting.
