- Sometimes art surprises me in the most amazing way! I had given up on it and moved on and then I tried something new to me and voila! it turned out into something quite fun to look at! I have also been feeling a bit stuck with my neurographic art, and felt that nothing new and exciting was coming from my brain. Well, this way has reignited my love and passion for it and I'm ready to explore again! Art works in mysterious ways sometimes....or is it my psyche perhaps??? Either way, I'm here for it! I hope you enjoy it as well!

I LOVE THE WHITE PEN. Every time I try to get one of these going, I get a mental block. Then it is hard for me to finish it. I like this one it shows a lot of zen tangles and I like to do those.

I love this... I only have food coloring but I am so inspired I'm going to go for it! And not much of a brush but I'll improvise- thank you for the clear descriptions of what you're doing and for showing the canvas/ paper, paints, brushes, etc.Your videos are wonderful to watch and experience and your art is creative, intuitive, and beautiful
Aww, I appreciate your comment. I hope you tried it with food colors! I bet it worked great! You can also just use colored pencils or markers! Even coffee works in a pinch, but I'd rather drink it 😉 whatever you used, I hope you enjoyed the process!

Stumbled across these last weekend, a bit worried it might become addictive, HAHA not to worry there are worse things to become addicted to, love watching your tutorials , I have lots of watercolour pictures I am not happy with, so thinking I might see if I can jazz them up a lot this way
Haha, welcome to the club! I love going back to my older paintings to see if I can embellish them this way! Sometimes it turns out great, other times I make it worse, haha! But at least I'm having fun! And yes, it can get a bit addicting, but in the best way possible 😊

I've tried so many white pens that failed but the Signo seems to work the best.
Thank you! That's what I love about this technique, not knowing what I end up with. I definitely got a dud last time I purchased the Signo brand. I'm glad this one works much better 👍🏻
Have you tried the Posca white fine tip nib number 1MR ?
Or another great white acrylic paint pen marker is by Artistro…..they come in all different colours, but you can buy just the white ones.
They also come in packs of white only or black and white mixed….or gold and silver !!
The silver one is just like a mirrored chrome….it’s amazing !!!
I have always found it hit and miss with the gel pens…..but you really won’t go wrong with the Posca or the Artistro.
@@sheilacym I have Poscas but not with the fine tip. I'll have to check it out! I haven't had good luck with the Artistro white markers. Maybe it was a bad batch. Anyway, thanks for the recommendations 👍👍

Absolutely loved this whole process and result. I went back to see if I could find the heart shape that showed up for me in the beginning. You didn't obscure it with doodling. I wonder if you saved it on purpose?

Hi Bettina, Just found your work and I am really inspired. Do you put anything on a finished piece to protect and seal it so it won't fade? All that beautiful work and I would not want anything to happen to it. Thanks for your demonstration.
Wonderful! Actually, I don't. Some of them are stuck on my wall away from direct sunlight and the others are currently residing in a box in my closet, until I figure out what to do with them. But should I decide to sell some pieces I would definitely put a varnish over them.

Nope. Just the gold, which I have listed in the description box.
Abstract watercolor + reverse coloring book + rounding neurographic lines + colored pencil + doodles! Perfect combination!
And why can't white pen technology keep up? I certainly need new ones!!
😆 you summed it up perfectly! And yes, the white pen technology is seriously lacking!
I've recently discovered white gouache with a ruling pen. It is a bit time consuming as you have to keep reloading the pen, similar to a dip pen, but it's the brightest, most opaque white for highlights and such that I've found yet, with more control than a brush, and adjustable line thickness.

Why round connected lines
It's a practice people do when drawing neurographic art. Google it for more info. I'm not the expert on it, I just enjoy the practice.

I only work on watercolor paper and I don't usually go bigger than 8x10. I couldn't point out specific videos atp, because recently I've only been working on 6x9 inches. Apologies.
