The automatic macro switching has been a huge hindrance for me, it tends to switch to the macro lens too far back when I’m not trying to take a macro shot just an up close wide shot. iOS 15.1 beta 3’s “fix” for the situation doesn’t help me too much to be honest. When you have auto switching turned on, it zooms your ultra wide camera in so the blurry edges aren’t as visible, if you switch turn off macro switching, you’re unable to take macro shots with that zoomed perspective anymore I suppose you’d have to crop everything yourself
I really have to admit I don’t think the macro is very important for most people, it’s really cool but in day to day use and day to day photography even its use is very limited apart from the novelty of it
I don’t agree. I use macro lenses with my Canon, and with. moment lens, with my iPhone. My 13Pro Max does this pretty well, and I’ll be using it a lot.
@@hugowells3052 no absolutely not! The night mode, telephoto, super speed etc are all amazing additions with real world use. The macro mode is only being added because it’s an easy addition with the lense they added
Apple needs to not group the cameras together and space them out. Apple is being held back by hardware, and they really need to take a big step in the hardware department. Secondly, you can't call these phones Pro and not offer manual controls, Apple needs to get with the program and take their hands off the reins.
Enjoyed the ‘cast, but here to say how much I enjoyed the dedicated 13 video. Beautifully and expertly put together 👍

I think there are many other features apple should have incorporated before they did macro. I have macro on my S21 and I've never used it.

I’ve heard people say that with just about every camera improvement Apple has ever made, and yet look where we are now

I think the mini would the one benefiting the most from being thicker. A mini pro (with the good lenses).
Did they talk about the telephoto?
I would prefer a much bigger sensor and a single lense (23mm).
Ultrawide sensor is the same size as last year…
i think apple sholud creat a camera
Fun fact: Apple actually created one of the first consumer digital cameras that released in 1994. It was called the Apple QuickTake.
I got the pro because the rails and the back glass are beautiful, cameras not bad either
