Hi! We’ll start building an indoor 4x2 meters aviary. Floor is parquet. Can you tell what you use on floors? Artificial grass? How do you manage the cleaning? Thanks
So my outdoor aviary floor is rubber pond liner and a bunch of stuff on top of that. For indoor, I would recommend you consider protecting the floor from water primarily (bath, drinking, cleaning) as that can cause damage, the rest is just mess containment and a surface for the birds to forage.

I got mad at the female because she killed my female grey-headed oliveback finch. Its not really her fault, more mine than anything, just too aggressive for my more passive species.
At the moment, I am good. All depends on what the regulations say. Don’t want to keep pairs of the rare species if I won’t be able to breed them. So if they have to go, I will find folks who have their USDA certification and have a breeding program going for each species already. Hopefully that will keep them in US aviculture. 🤞🏽🤞🏽
I love that....If everything goes right....
So optimistic …😜
I admire you so much An, how you make and adapt and build everything yourself. A wonderful video as always 😊
Thanks Eileen! Thats part of the fun (for me anyway)!

I truly hope it doesn't come to that, and that you are able to continue the amazing work you do...

The stink bugs do hibernate, much like lady bugs.
That makes sense- thanks!
If you don’t mind me asking which state are you in that has the new laws?
